Women’s Network
More than 60 women attended the entertaining and educational Wine Tasting Event hosted by member Shannon McDonnell (Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits). Many thanks to Shannon for planning a truly flawless event.
We will take a break for the summer months and reconvene in the fall. The CYC Women’s Network meets several times a year in the evening for discussions, socializing and networking. There is no membership fee; all are welcome. Contact me at areich@frantzward.com with any ideas for future events.

Fine Art Fleet
So wonderful to finally wander around the island with boats in the water and with everyone getting ready for another wonderful summer on the lake!
Sophia Tjotjos, a long-time CYC member and boater as well as part of the CYC Art Fleet, will exhibit her last painting, titled “ Topaz Lake mermaid,” in the Library this month.

Sophia and her family have travelled extensively throughout the Great Lakes region on board Silent T’s, their beautiful yacht; they have often cruised to Baie Finn, in the Canadian North Channel, and hiked ashore to Topaz Lake and its crystal clear waters. Sophia remembers their daughter Yiana jumping into the lake on one of those trips, to then resurfacing with a joyful smile on her face! This wonderful memory led Sophia’s creativity into her latest painting. In spite of her lack of academic training in the Arts, Sophia, who has always loved painting, has been a long-time art student of Mrs. Cascarilla, also a CYC member and an esteemed Cleveland artist, thus allowing her to continue to grow and better herself in her artistic achievements!

The social circle Join in!
As chairperson of this year’s Entertainment Committee, I am always looking for members who would like to get involved in their club. Volunteering for an event committee and helping with planning of social events is a great way to meet some of your fellow members. We are especially in need of help with some of this year’s Regatta children’s events. Please email joseph.r.calabrese@gmail.com if you are interested in having a good time while volunteering.
