The CYC Gate/Security Committee is looking forward to a fun and safe 2023 summer season! The bridge traffic restriction has our full attention, and we have been working closely with Management Committee and General Manager Marc Dallas to anticipate and plan for the challenges that this presents. We have also met with our contractor, Securitas, to keep them informed and to ensure that all guards are mindful of keeping traffic flowing while also enforcing all rules and regulations as published in the House Rules. We are asking all members and guests for their patience as we work through this together, and abide by the traffic signals.

In concert with Management Committee, Waterfront Activities Director P/C FitzGibbon and Marc Dallas, our plan is to anticipate and communicate busy weekends and events to our Membership. Running the shuttle for guests and employees will be utilized on an as-needed basis to control traffic flow and parking spaces.

We ask that all members review the House Rules regarding pets on the Island. This policy will be uniformly enforced, and we appreciate in advance the cooperation of all pet owner members.

Also with the advent of Uber, Lyft, Door Dash and other vendors, our policy is to have delivery orders picked up at the Gate by those members ordering. These drivers will not be permitted access beyond the Gate. We thank our Members for complying with our request to have current windshield stickers and/ or membership cards available as they enter the Gate as is our policy. Our guards require proof of current membership to grant access.

Lastly, in respect of and concern for our neighbors along Yacht Club Drive we ask that you be aware of your speed due to increased pedestrian traffic and small children living in homes in the neighborhood. Please treat it as a “School Zone.”

We appreciate the opportunity to serve CYC through the Gate/Security Committee, and always welcome input and suggestions on how we can enhance the Member experience at our “Front Door.”
