Team Tackless wins Bowling Championship
The CYC Bowling Fleet league started in October, and bowlers met each Wednesday evening at Fairview Lanes, through April 12. Sixty-one CYC men making up eight teams would tell you “what a fun way to get through the dark yacht-less months of our year.” It was something to look forward to each week.
We always have room for expansion if you are interested to join the fun!
Congratulations to the champion bowlers:
The First Half Champions (John Oliver’s Team Oliver) went up against the Second Half Champions P/C Chuck Inglefield’s Team Tackless) in the year’s championship match. After three very close games, Team Tackless won the “Super Bowl.” On Chuck’s Team was P/C Larry Greathouse, Steve Pederson, Chris van Raalten, Mike Ripich, Don Wadden, Rob Eilmann and Ron Lenz.
Congratulations to Team Tackless!

Navigating the Future: How AI is Revolutionizing Boating

Artificial intelligence has been capturing headlines with chatbots for a while now, but the future of AI is set to revolutionize the boating industry, making the experience more enjoyable and effortless than ever before. With the latest technology, boats will be able to adjust their course, speed and direction automatically, allowing boaters to sit back and enjoy the ride. Gone are the days of worrying about depth and proximity to things out of sight. With advanced sensors and machine learning algorithms, boats equipped with AI technology can immediately identify potential hazards, such as other vessels, debris or changes in weather conditions. The technology can also monitor the boat’s speed and adjust it as needed to maintain a safe distance from obstacles.
