Heading out on the lake for that first cruise

After the April showers brought May flowers, I think we’re all ready for some fun in the sun. We are excited to kick off our first cruise of the season to PIB & CIC. Skippers Chris & Chari Zito are certain to have plenty of fun and shenanigans in store at the Crew’s Nest at PIB on June 8. We’ll spend June 9-11 at CIC, skippered by Ric & Lynne Michaels and P/C Rick & Suzan Adams.

Looking for some Canadian adventure, eh? Get your fix June 22 at Pelee Island followed by a two-night stay June 23-25 at Rondeau.

The Durhams and Tjotjos are graciously skippering our excursion to Kelley’s Island on June 30- thru July 2. This trip will include the annual Commodore’s Cocktail party.

Cedar Point Cruise

We have reserved rooms, at Hotel Breakers, making Cedar Point a great weekend for those Power Fleet members without a boat or overnight onboard accommodations.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 13

• Arrive at your leisure and enjoy Cedar Point’s many rides, water park or beach. Conversely, spend a relaxed afternoon, on your boat, having a cold drink or two with Power Fleet friends.

• Enjoy pizza and wings, compliments of the Power Fleet, served dockside at approximately 18:30.

• Socialize dockside, after the park closes, with late night cocktails and plenty of conversation. Suzan promises an assortment of flavored martinis.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 14

• Plan for a full day of activities within Cedar Point’s many venues.

• Gather for a Power Fleet group dinner at 18:30.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 15

• Enjoy breakfast at one of the many Cedar Point restaurants.

•Depart for CYC by 11 a.m.

DOCKAGE

Call Cedar Point Marina for dockage reservations: 419-627-2334. Indicate you are with The Cleveland Yachting Club Power Fleet group. Make reservations prior to July 25, to be included in Power Fleet’s group of docks.

HOTEL ROOMS

Book of 10 rooms is reserved at Hotel Breakers. CYC Power Fleet Rates: King Bed - $420 per night, including taxes; 2 Queen Beds - $375 per night, including taxes. Hotel reservations must by booked by July 7 to receive Power Fleet rates – NO CANCELLATIONS AFTER JULY 7; YOU WILL BE CHARGED THROUGH YOUR CYC ACCOUNT. (Cedar Point requires at least 10 rooms be booked for Power Fleet members to receive the above rates. If 10 rooms are not booked, we will notify you, on July 8, of the need to re-book your room, as a non-group reservation, at the then current room rates. In this case, your initial group reservation will be cancelled and you will not be charged.)
