P/C Gordon Geiger, kicks their season off and the Power Fleet, under the direction of Dr. John Pyke, will head off on their first cruises. One of our most treasured programs, Sail Camp, begins on the 13th under the direction of Dr. Laura Goldberg, and Dr. Emad Estemalik will be leading the Orcas toward another successful swimming season. Our Junior Race Team returns to the ILYA race circuit under the leadership of P/C Dan Clevenger and CYC will be hosting our very own ILYA Junior Regatta on the 24th. We can always use more volunteers so if you are interested, please contact Mike Harris. On the 17th the Fishing Fleet, cochaired by Dan O’Donnell and Chris van Raalten, will host our annual Walleye Tournament with bragging rights on the line for “Big Fish,” followed by Father’s Day on Sunday the 18th. It’s a great opportunity to spend the day on the island with dad.

As we have been preparing for the summer season, Marc and his team have worked tirelessly around the island to ensure we deliver the best possible member experience for everyone. Once again, thank you to our dedicated staff who work hard on our behalf every day.

As we look to July, don’t forget to mark your calendars for the biggest and best party of the year—Regatta! Sarah and Chris van Raalten and their team have been busy planning what I’m sure will be a fantastic regatta week. We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

Finally, as we move into our busiest season on the island, I’d like to request your patience and consideration of fellow members when entering and exiting the island. While I recognize that the new traffic patterns and traffic lights are an inconvenience, they are necessary to ensure everyone’s safety. We continue to work on the details of the bridge replacement and will share them as soon as they are available. Have a wonderful summer at the club, and Colleen and I look forward to seeing each of you on the island very soon.
