The Heart Behind Zelli of Sweden AB:

MADELEINE JARL'S

Story of Soulful Design and Emotional Luxury

When one woman dares to be herself, it inspires others to do the same.
– Madeleine Jarl, Founder &

At a time when fast fashion and fleeting trends dominate, Zelli of Sweden AB stands apart by offering something rare – jewelry created not just to be worn but to be felt. At the heart of this purposeful design philosophy is Madeleine Jarl, Founder & Creative Director, whose journey has been anything but conventional. From the runways of Paris to the quiet strength of motherhood, Madeleine has woven her life experiences into

brands that speak to authenticity, emotional connection, and lasting beauty

Her story is one of courage, creativity, and quiet rebellion –proof that you don't need to shout to make a statement.

A Dive into Purposeful Creation

Madeleine's story begins as a competitive diver on the edge of a springboard in Sweden, where

she discovers the courage to leap, both literally and metaphorically. She learned early about discipline, courage, and the exhilaration of stepping into the unknown. That spirit carried her to Paris at 19, where she modeled with iconic brands like Dior and Lancôme before she created her own commercial agency with focus on Travel Retail. Yet it was the birth of her twin daughters, Kenza and Ellin, that ignited her true calling.

Madeleine wanted to create something that captured the love and strength they brought into her life, and ZAZA&LILI, which gracefully carries her daughters names, was born in 2015. Four years later, she introduced MÄN, a minimalist collection for men, capturing the strength of simplicity and quiet sophistication. Today, under the umbrella of Zelli of Sweden AB, both brands echo a commitment to emotional design, ethical values, and timeless craftsmanship.

To get a deeper glimpse into the philosophy that guides Zelli of Sweden, we asked Madeleine to share her thoughts on leadership, creativity, resilience, and the heart behind her designs.

What challenges have shaped you into the leader you are today?

Starting a business without a formal education in business was daunting. I wore every hat—designer, accountant, marketer, logistics coordinator—while raising two children. The biggest challenge was the pandemic. With the collapse of travel retail, I faced what could have been the end of my business. But I leaned into collaboration, stayed flexible, and trusted my intuition.

Another challenge has been navigating situations where I didn't always have the right tools or formal education. I had to

learn everything by doing—step by step, through trial and error. It wasn't so much about being a woman but about feeling unprepared for certain moments and having to catch up quickly. Over time, self-learning, resilience, and patience became my strongest allies, and I discovered that leading with calm determination and intuition can be just as powerful as any title or degree

How would you describe your leadership style and core values?

My leadership is intuitive, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe strength doesn't have to be loud. I value trust, give my team creative freedom, and nurture a work culture rooted in kindness, humility, mutual respect, and shared growth.

At my core, I value integrity, emotional connection, and balance. I lead and create in the same way I live—ethically, thoughtfully, and always from the heart. I believe in conscious creation, in crafting with care and purpose. Every piece is designed not just to follow trends but to carry lasting meaning and quality. I want the objects I make to feel like quiet companions—timeless, personal, and made to be cherished for years to come.

What accomplishment are you most proud of so far?

My daughters are my absolute pride and joy, and they inspire

my creations every day. Building ZAZA&LILI—and later MÄN—from scratch is also something I hold close to my heart. Not only because of the creative expression it has allowed me but because it has remained rooted in meaning and family. Seeing my daughters inspire a brand that now touches women around the world is deeply fulfilling.

I'm also proud that MÄN was awarded Best Men's Bracelet Brand – Scandinavia in the LUX Global Excellence Awards 2024, and more recently honored with Men's Accessory Brand Of The year 2025 by the Corporate LiveWire. It's proof that dedication, creativity, and integrity can lead to both emotional and industry recognition.

On a more personal level, returning to competitive springboard diving as a master after many years—and winning gold medals in all my individual events at the 2019 World Championships—was incredibly meaningful. It reminded me that it's never too late to reconnect with a passion and pursue it with courage and commitment. That moment, just like building my brands, was a celebration of inner strength and perseverance

What does being an 'inspiring woman' mean to you personally?

To me, being an inspiring woman means being true to yourself—even when it's not easy

or clear what that means. I don't always know exactly who I am, but I'm always seeking honesty, meaning, and human connection. I try to respect other people's paths as much as I respect my own.

It's also about not being afraid to make mistakes. I've learned by doing—by trying, falling, and learning as I go. Inspiration isn't about perfection. It's about authenticity and the quiet strength that comes from simply continuing with an open heart.

How do you support or empower other women in your industry or community?

I support other women by sharing my story—honestly and without filters. I believe vulnerability is a form of strength, and I hope my experiences encourage others to trust their own voice.

Through ZAZA&LILI, I try to create jewelry that helps women feel seen and celebrated. While I haven't had the time to engage fully with larger communities—since I've been handling so much on my own—I offer guidance when I can, and I aim to create a ripple effect through my work. When one woman dares to be herself, it inspires others to do the same.

What are your goals or exciting plans for 2025?

For ZAZA&LILI, I'm working on an entire new dynamic image of the

Madeleine, In Her Own Light

Madeleine Jarl's identity defies labels, but her essence is unmistakable: thoughtful, grounded, and quietly powerful. Whether she's designing a bracelet or mentoring a young creative, she brings the same philosophy of creating balance with passion and resilience.

Through Zelli of Sweden AB, Madeleine isn't just creating jewelry. She's building a movement – a reminder that authenticity is the truest form of luxury.

brand with new collections and deeper storytelling—sharing more of the inspiration and emotional narrative behind each piece. For MÄN, we're expanding into silver and steel collections, which will broaden our offering while staying true to the brand's minimalist, timeless spirit.

I'm also exploring international partnerships and seeking aligned collaborators who share my vision of creating beauty with heart, honesty, and purpose

What advice would you give to the next generation of women leaders?

Don't wait to feel “ready”. If you have a vision, start—learn as you go. Trust your intuition, stay curious, and know that mistakes

are part of the journey. Every challenge holds a lesson, and every step you take builds your strength.

Don't be afraid to take up space with softness, to lead without shouting, and to define success on your own terms. And most importantly, stay connected to your values and your heart. Remember: perfection isn't the goal—authenticity is. And if you ever doubt yourself, ask: Would I want my daughter to hold back her light? If the answer is no, then don't hold back yours.

Cizzle Bio, Inc.

In a world where cancer remains a leading cause of death and a significant health challenge worldwide, Cizzle Bio, Inc. is pioneering a future where early detection could mean the difference between life and loss. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in San Antonio, Cizzle Bio is bringing new hope to patients with cuttingedge, minimally invasive diagnostic tests, designed not just to detect cancer early, but to make that detection accessible and affordable for all.

Cizzle Bio's mission to detect cancer when it is most treatable and survivable is deeply rooted in the vision of its Chairman and CEO, Bill Behnke

A seasoned healthcare leader, Bill's personal and professional journey has shaped Cizzle Bio's path forward as a biotech firm driven by both impact and innovation.

A Mission Born from Urgency

Cizzle Bio was founded to solve a problem that has plagued cancer care for years—diagnosis often comes too late for effective treatment. The company is focused on advancing innovative biomarker blood tests that are accurate and clinically practical. Its flagship product, the CIZ1B lung cancer test, is based on over two decades of research into the CIZ1 gene at the University of York, led by UK-based Cizzle Biotechnology. Cizzle Bio was established to bring this transformative test to patients in the United States.

The company was founded to address one of the most urgent and unmet needs in global healthcare—the early detection of cancer, when it is most treatable and survivable. Cizzle Bio is focused on advancing innovative biomarker blood tests that

Bill Behnke,
We had the pleasure of interacting with Bill Behnke to gain his insights on the evolving landscape of early cancer detection, the company's breakthrough innovations, and the guiding principles behind its ascent in the biotech industry. Below is an excerpt from our conversation.

are accurate, minimally invasive, and clinically practical.

The company's flagship lung cancer test detects a unique protein variant in the blood, called CIZ1B, that is highly associated with early-stage lung cancer. It can identify early disease using a simple blood draw, helping clinicians detect cancer at Stage 1, before it spreads to other parts of the body, and when five-year survival rates are significantly higher. “Cizzle Bio holds exclusive licensing rights to the proprietary test, including the IP (Intellectual Property), in North America and the Caribbean, and our test has been granted six international patents, with several other patents pending,” says Bill.

Building on this approach, Cizzle Bio has licensed and is preparing to launch DEX-G2, a highly accurate blood test for early detection of gastric cancer, also known as stomach cancer, developed from decades of research by a renowned scientist now at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center DEX-G2 combines cell-free and exosomal miRNA biomarkers and demonstrated 95% sensitivity for early-stage disease in a multicenter clinical trial.

How does your company contribute to the competitive global platform at large?

We are contributing to the global healthcare landscape by

commercializing diagnostic tools that can save lives through earlier detection. Our lung cancer test is being further validated at top-tier institutions like Moffitt Cancer Center and UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson, and we have launched our first international partnership with Doctors Hospital in the Cayman Islands. A recent study by a noted healthcare economist, accepted as an abstract at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, showed that using our test to screen patients in the at-risk Medicare population could save the Medicare program $518 million annually.

As mentioned earlier, we are also advancing our gastric cancer test, DEX-G2, licensed from the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, which detects cancer with 95% sensitivity using miRNA biomarkers. These innovations reflect our commitment to rigorous science and global impact.

How tough was it to start? How did you manage to overcome them and move forward?

Launching our business was made efficient by licensing our tests from world-class researchers who delivered scientifically sound products ready for commercialization. Even so, bringing a diagnostic innovation to market has inherent challenges, such as laboratory validation requirements and ensuring physician access.

What is integral to our success is our experienced leadership team—including veterans from Genentech, Eli Lilly, Moffitt Cancer

Center, and Cogent Healthcare—as well as close collaboration with leading scientists. We are built on two pillars of influence: lifesaving diagnostics and a team dedicated to their impact. We have also stayed focused on one simple but powerful mission—saving lives through earlier detection.

In addition to contributing towards economic growth, do you think companies should also focus on social responsibilities?

Absolutely. At Cizzle Bio, social responsibility is central to our mission. We are working to democratize access to early cancer detection, ensuring that lifesaving technologies are not limited to those in urban centers or academic medical institutions. Barriers to care, including geographic access, cost, and limited awareness, lead to delayed diagnoses and worse outcomes for cancer patients. By developing accurate, minimally invasive, and affordable biomarker blood tests, we aim to bridge those disparities and make early detection a routine part of care, regardless of zip code, income, or insurance status.

We believe companies should play an active role in addressing health equity, and our work is rooted in the idea that early detection should be available to everyone

How important is social media in building an influential business today?

Social media is critical for education, awareness, and trustbuilding. We use it to share science-backed information with patients, providers, and investors

and to amplify voices from the medical community who believe in our mission.

Without employee success, company-wide success will be tough to obtain. How do you perceive this statement?

Employee success is foundational to a company's success. Our team members are not only skilled professionals but also ambassadors for our mission. We support them through flexible work environments, professional development opportunities, and a shared sense of purpose.

What role do innovation and technology play in scaling up a business?

They are the engine of growth for a business. Our innovations in biomarker science and laboratory technology are allowing us to bridge the gap between academic centers and routine primary care For example, our partnership with Tasso, a leader in at-home blood collection, will let patients access our CIZ1B test without leaving their homes.

A Vision Beyond the Lab

While innovation is the engine of Cizzle Bio, impact is its compass. The company's roadmap extends far beyond the two cancer types it currently addresses. Future plans include a broader suite of cancerspecific diagnostics, more global partnerships, and expanded reimbursement models to eliminate financial barriers.

“We want to change how the world thinks about cancer detection, not as a luxury reserved for those near

elite hospitals, but as a standard, simple part of primary care,” Bill asserts.

To make that vision real, Cizzle Bio is working with laboratory networks holding hundreds of payer contracts, expanding its policy advocacy efforts, and aiming to make early detection tests a scalable and effective solution across healthcare systems.

Bill Behnke: Shaping the Future of Cancer Detection

With over 30 years in healthcare innovation, Bill Behnke is no stranger to systems change. From founding and scaling physician-led organizations to advancing oncology research, his track record spans startups, policy, and clinical strategy. But his commitment to early detection is shaped by his own family's journey—his daughter, Ella, was diagnosed with lymphoma at just three years old. That experience, he says, “ignited a lifelong mission to make sure other families have better options, sooner”

Bill has served as a board member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and currently sits on the ASCO Foundation's Conquer Cancer® Board. At Cizzle Bio, he brings together visionary leadership, professional expertise, and personal resolve to change the future of cancer care.

LIT AGENCY

In an age defined by rapid technological shifts and shrinking attention spans, LIT Agency has built its reputation on a simple conviction: brands with powerful stories deserve equally powerful advocates. Since 2015, the team has positioned itself not as a mere vendor, but as an extension of the brands it serves—fiercely selective, fiercely passionate, and fiercely committed to the long game. The result is an agency that helps clients move beyond visibility to something rarer: meaningful, measurable influence

The

Inception:

A Belief Worth Building Around

LIT Agency was born from years of watching promising companies struggle to find partners

who both understood and believed in their products. The founders saw a gap. Organizations needed an agency that combined strategic guidance with hands-on support. From day one, LIT positioned itself as the advocate at a brand's side, translating conviction into strategy and strategy into results. “We are here to amplify brands that matter,” the team says; a north star that guides every engagement.

A Market in Motion – and an Opportunity

The market today is fluid, fast, and unforgiving. Technology evolves in real time, while customer behaviors shift in a heartbeat, and attention spans are increasingly getting fragmented. For many, this chaos is a challenge; however, for LIT, it's an

Diane Markovski,

opportunity. “Brands today aren't built through one-way communication,” the agency notes. “They're built through conversation, connection, and community.”

Whether it's through digital campaigns, strategic storytelling, or targeted brand positioning, LIT Agency helps its clients cut through the noise and speak directly to the audiences that matter. The agency works in a space where data drives decisions and creativity drives results. With emerging platforms, influencer ecosystems, and AI reshaping the rules of engagement, staying ahead means staying flexible – and fearless. “The market is crowded, yes. But with the right strategy, the right voice, and the right partner, there's never been a better time to stand out,” says founder Diane Markovski.

What LIT Delivers Globally

LIT's contribution to the global platform is rooted in its ability to help brands define who they are, refine what they say, and engage audiences in ways that resonate across borders, cultures, and digital ecosystems.

• Integrated Marketing Campaigns: From concept to execution, LIT builds crosschannel campaigns that combine data-driven targeting with bold, creative storytelling.

• Brand Strategy & Positioning: The agency

helps clients articulate purpose, sharpen value propositions, and carve out distinctive space in crowded categories – especially in emerging or highly competitive industries.

• Digital & Social Media Marketing: Agile and platform-specific content strategies are crafted to drive engagement, loyalty, and conversion at scale.

• Influencer & Partnership Strategy: LIT aligns brands with the right voices to amplify reach and credibility, tapping into niche and global audiences alike

In a hyper-connected world where perception is global from day one, LIT ensures its clients arrive with confidence and a competitive edge, wherever the conversation is happening.

The Early Climb: Earning the Right to Be Heard

Building a company in a hypercompetitive and fast-paced industry meant wearing many hats at once: strategist, creative, project manager, client relations, and more. The biggest challenge in the early days? – Trust. Convincing clients to take a chance on a new agency, before

the portfolio of big-name brands, required clarity of vision, quality without compromise, and a relentless work ethic.

Those long hours, setbacks, and uncertainties became LIT's forge. The team learned fast, stayed agile, and let their work speak for itself. Resilience, listening, and an unwavering sense of purpose shaped the agency's foundation and have remained its operating system ever since

Inside LIT: Defining Influence and Culture from Within

What makes a company truly influential? For LIT, it's not about chasing industry benchmarks or metrics. LIT believes that influence stems from clarity of purpose, the courage to adapt, and the ability to inspire trust. Diane quotes, “Whether it's through product, technology, or culture, influential companies push boundaries and shape conversations. They don't just follow the market—they move it.” LIT has consistently anchored its work in authenticity and empathy, helping brands not only be seen but also be believed.

This philosophy is mirrored internally. The work environment is intentionally built to foster creativity, collaboration, and accountability. The agency operates with a startup mindset –agile, fast-moving, and solutionoriented – while maintaining the structure and strategic focus of a seasoned agency. Every voice matters here, whether one is

leading a global campaign or pitching their first creative idea in a team brainstorm.

LIT's culture is equal parts highperformance and high support. There's a lot of collaboration and healthy feedback happening within the teams, and they hold each other to a high standard while also prioritizing mental clarity, respectful communication, and ongoing growth.

Innovation, People, and What's Next

For LIT, the growth and success of their employees have been central to the success of their agency. When employees thrive – professionally, personally, and creatively – they bring their best work, their passion, and their commitment every day. This fuels innovation, productivity, and ultimately drives the business forward. LIT has consistently invested in building an environment where curiosity is rewarded, mentorship is available, and new skills are encouraged.

The other pillars of LIT's success are innovation and technology that act as the twin engines driving scalable growth in the competitive marketplace. The agency sees innovation as the mindset that challenges the status quo, constantly seeking better ways to connect, create, and deliver value. Technology, meanwhile, provides the tools and platforms that make scaling possible, whether it's automating

Diane Markovski: Redefining Brand Influence in the Digital Age

Diane Markovski, founder of LIT Agency, brings over two decades of experience from Australia's leading media companies. Her passion for digital and social media has driven her to the forefront of evolving consumer behavior. Diane's vast expetise with publishers enables her to craft innovative marketing strategies that deliver proven ROI for clients. processes, analyzing data for smarter decisions, or expanding reach through digital channels.

Looking forward, LIT is expanding its capabilities in datadriven marketing, immersive storytelling, and emerging technologies like AI and augmented reality. It is also focused on broadening its global reach and partnering with brands across diverse industries and geographies to craft culturally relevant campaigns that resonate

worldwide. LIT is always exploring new avenues of growth and always asking how influence can be redefined for the next era of brand-audience relationships.

Build Senior Living

Success is measured not just by profit margins, but by the difference one makes in the lives of others. Abiding by this philosophy are a few purpose-driven organizations that are emerging as the true changemakers. It's within this powerful narrative of purpose-led enterprise that Build Senior Living stands tall, an organization built not around profit, but a deeply human mission: “Take care of those who took care of us.”

Build Senior Living is not just developing assisted living communities. It is reshaping the very philosophy of senior living in America. With a focus on personalized care, inclusive community building, and operational excellence, the company continues to give back in the most meaningful way

- by transforming the lives of seniors and empowering caregivers.

A Vision Rooted in Purpose and Passion

Founded in 2012 by Shahid Imran, Build Senior Living was born out of a deeply personal realization that seniors deserved more. More than standard care. More than clinical environments. More than aging in isolation. They deserve vibrant communities where their dignity is preserved, their lives are enriched, and their legacies honored.

A young boy who arrived in the United States at 16, Shahid Imran's journey is as inspiring as the vision he has brought to life. With a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and a master's

Shahid Imran,

in business administration, Shahid first proved his business acumen by building a multimillion-dollar medical device company, only to sell it and devote himself entirely to a greater cause - creating exceptional senior living communities.

Today, as Managing Director and CEO of Build Senior Living, Shahid leads with a rare blend of entrepreneurial drive, healthcare expertise, and heartfelt commitment. Under his leadership, the company has grown exponentially, developing and managing over 30 communities by early 2023 and poised to reach nearly 40 by 2025.

Innovating the Future of Senior Housing

Build Senior Living is best known for developing premier assisted living and memory care communities under the Hampton Manor brand. Their facilities provide far more than a place to live; these are environments built with purpose, offering resort-style amenities, such as spas, theaters, and state-of-the-art wellness centers. Beyond infrastructure, the company innovates through personalized care plans, staff training, and technology integration, including telehealth services and smart home features.

But what truly sets Build Senior Living apart is its ability to develop communities from the ground up while continuously enhancing resident experiences.

In fact, every element of Build Senior Living's communities is designed to foster comfort, connection, and well-being. “We remain dedicated to advancing our services to meet the evolving needs of the aging population,” quotes Shahid.

Building with Cultural Intention and Operational Excellence

One of Build Senior Living's core strengths lies in its deep understanding of cultural and social needs of residents. The company takes pride in creating communities that foster a sense of belonging, where residents from diverse backgrounds feel seen, valued, and at home.

Operationally, Build Senior Living's excellence is reflected in its rapid yet strategic growth in recent years. Its ability to launch multiple communities across different states while maintaining uncompromising care standards is a testament to its operational efficiency and strong leadership The goal for Shahid has always been to build communities and not just buildings. Build Senior Living prioritizes home-like environments, where residents are empowered to live their best lives every day

Turning Challenges into Catalysts for Growth

Like every great organization, Build Senior Living's journey has not been without challenges. From the initial hurdles of navigating complex licensing requirements to overcoming

market skepticism, the early days demanded perseverance and resilience.

Perhaps the greatest test came during the COVID-19 pandemic, a moment that redefined the senior care industry. Rather than retreat, Build Senior Living responded with swift, strategic action: implemented robust safety protocols, leveraged virtual communication tools, and reinforced emergency preparedness measures to maintain resident well-being. The company's adaptability became a hallmark of its strength, positioning it not just to endure disruption, but to thrive in its wake. The invaluable lessons, reinforcing the importance of strategic planning and resilience have become the foundational principles that continue to guide the company's growth.

Staying Ahead of Industry Trends

The future of senior care is evolving—and Build Senior Living is already ahead of the curve. The company streamlines operations through automated systems, enabling its teams to focus on high-quality resident care. Data analytics inform strategic decisions, which enable to further enhance services and predict market trends. Moreover, the facilities integrate telehealth, targeted memory care programs, and smart home features to elevate the living experience.

High-speed internet access within the premises ensures residents

stay connected with their family and digital resources.

By continuously investing in technology, Build Senior Living creates a seamless, enriched environment where seniors can thrive. The company is also investing heavily in workforce development and training, recognizing that empowered and compassionate caregivers are the cornerstone of great communities.

Sustainability, Social Impact, and a Human-Centered Ethos

Build Senior Living is deeply committed to corporate responsibility—not just within its communities but in the larger world it inhabits. The company integrates eco-friendly materials and energy efficient practices into its developments. Ethical sourcing and community partnerships ensure that it operates with integrity while making a meaningful impact.

Shahid says, “Beyond environmental initiatives, we support workforce development programs and champion diversity with purpose; we foster long-term sustainability – benefiting not only our residents but also the broader communities we serve.”

Looking Ahead

As Build Senior Living approaches its next chapter, its ambitions are as bold as its values are grounded. The company aims to become the largest privately owned assisted

living provider in the United States.

New developments will continue to reflect the company's core pillars: community, innovation, compassion, and excellence. And as regulatory landscapes evolve and resident expectations rise, Build Senior Living remains steadfast in its mission to lead the transformation of senior care. The road ahead is one of growth, impact, and continued leadership in senior housing.

Shahid Imran: A Leader with Vision, Empathy, and Drive

At the heart of Build Senior Living's success is Shahid Imran—an entrepreneur with a deep understanding of business, healthcare, and humanity. His story—from a 16-year-old boy

from Pakistan, learning English while putting himself through college, to a visionary CEO transforming senior care—is a powerful reminder that leadership is not about titles. It's about service, impact, and purpose.

Through every community built, every caregiver trained, and every life touched, Shahid continues to redefine what's possible in senior living, creating spaces not just for aging, but for thriving. And in doing so, Build Senior Living is turning into a movement toward a more compassionate and empowered future for our elders.

Canon's wide range of managed services, from a digital mailroom to intelligent automation to soft integrated facilities management and internal

logistics management, make it an ideal strategic partner in this environment of marked change and unprecedented technological advancements. Here are the key attributes and capabilities that contributed to Canon's recognition.

Strong Customer-Centric Approach

Canon builds long-term partnerships by customizing solutions that align with each client's unique challenges and business objectives rather than offering one-size-fits-all services. Canon Business Process Services President Mark Walker says, “Canon goes beyond helping clients maintain operations when challenges arise. We leverage our deep bench of domain expertise to improve outcomes and deliver new efficiencies.”

Mark Walker,

Industry-Specific Logistics

Expertise

Canon's ability to manage onsite internal logistics for automotive, aerospace, biotech, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing plants as well as medical supplies distribution for hospitals, sets it apart. These mission-critical services help clients maintain seamless operations in complex environments. By leveraging existing investments in technology, equipment, systems and facilities, Canon uses that as a foundation to further advance their client's operations.

Their customized services include labor management and operational enhancements related to moving, storing, and handling raw materials, components, and finished products within the

manufacturing facility. Canon receives, inventories, manages and distributes goods to the manufacturing floor so that the company can focus on higherlevel strategic initiatives. Canon then takes on the day-to-day critical role of preparing and shipping the completed goods. This hand-to-glove partnership between Canon and the client for inventory accuracy, precision manufacturing support and highly skilled talent makes it a game changer for manufacturers challenged with finding and retaining the right talent to support production.

“Focusing on their core business is crucial for all companies –particularly manufacturers – that look to drive innovation,” according to Mark Walker “Outsourcing onsite logistics operations to a reliable partner can free up resources, boost

operational efficiency, improve flexibility and adaptability, enhance coordination between different departments, and yield significant advantages.”

Integrated Workplace Experience Services

Canon also redefines workplace support with soft facilities management and conciergestyle services that enhance productivity and employee satisfaction, creating smart and efficient work environments. Canon provides a range of behind-the-scenes operational support that enhances the daily function of office environments. These services include mailroom and logistics management, reception and meeting and conference room management.

Canon also creates a hotel-like experience in corporate workplaces, improving employee and visitor satisfaction through personalized services. By integrating these services, Canon helps organizations enhance employee engagement, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs. With decades of experience supporting Fortune 1000 companies, Canon delivers high-quality customized solutions that align with the evolving needs of modern workplaces.

Business Agility Enablement

Canon enables companies to adapt quickly to changing market conditions by streamlining processes, optimizing resources,

and providing scalable solutions that support growth and operational resilience. For example, they listen to the client and pivot by amending contracts, changing headcount, changing employee mix and type of positions, expanding to new services, taking on specialized training, and retraining employees as needed.

“The market is changing, and so is the technology,” President Mark Walker said. “Our clients can leverage our industry knowledge and become more future-proof. The competitive landscape is shifting for us and our clients, and we are evolving as part of our DNA to meet those demands.”

Canon also enables agility by helping businesses accelerate their digital transformation journey by optimizing document management and workflow automation. Canon Digital Mailroom is a hybrid mailroom and scanning service that converts physical mail into a digital format that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Canon streamlines the flow of critical business information for companies to mitigate their risk and improve response times.

Commitment to Continuous Innovation

Canon invests in emerging technologies and process improvements, ensuring that clients benefit from cutting-edge technology and labor solutions that drive competitive advantage.

Canon has created a model for onsite logistics that relieves clients from the burden of managing, training and developing a workforce. Their approach offers a deep bench of expertise in HR, safety, training, Six Sigma processes, technology, and automation. Canon's internal logistics solutions go beyond the work that temp agencies and 3PLs provide for the manufacturing industry. Their customized solutions integrate with the company's core culture and tie in operations with purchasing and more departments.

For example, Canon is maximizing the effectiveness of engineers for one of its clients in the aerospace industry by ensuring that its products are ready to assemble. The onsite logistics team has expertise in precision manufacturing and poka-yoke (error prevention). They use CNC cutouts, so only the exact right part fits in the mould on the kit. Some other ways Canon innovates for their client include utilizing vertical storage carousels to maximize storage density and reduce touches, automated picking mezzanines, automated storage retrieval systems, and automated guided vehicles.

Proven Track Record of Excellence

In addition to its wide-ranging services, industry recognition is another key factor supporting Canon's status as one of the top

smartest companies to watch in 2025. Canon was recently named to the Leader category of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP®) 2025 Global Outsourcing 100® list. The list defines the standard of excellence in outsourcing service delivery. This is the 19th straight year in which Canon has been named a Leader in The Global Outsourcing 100. Over the years, Canon also earned additional IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 recognition by receiving top honors in distinguished IAOP judging categories, including “Programs for Innovation.” This category is particularly significant because it recognizes a company's ability to implement specific programs and resulting outcomes that produce new forms of value for customers.

Backed by Canon's Global Reputation

As part of the globally trusted Canon brand, clients benefit from Canon Business Process Services' legacy of quality, innovation, and service excellence, making it a strong and dependable partner for businesses looking to transform their operations. These attributes position Canon Business Process Services as not just a leader in BPO but a smart, strategic and forwarding-looking company to watch in 2025.

The spark behind Ei4Change's idea

Robin Hills has always been passionate about helping people develop and make the most of any situation. When he faced redundancy, he decided to use his skills and experience in a new way by creating Ei4Change. Instead of relying on traditional employment, which often demands specific qualifications and perceived experience, Robin believed in his determination and selfconfidence. He knew that these factors were not obstacles to starting and growing a successful business that focused on his strengths.

Robin Hills,

Ei4Change's offerings and consumer-driven evolution

Ei4Change's commitment to relevant and actionable content has made it a leader in emotional intelligence education worldwide.

Ei4Change's early challenges and their solutions

Robin Hills started Ei4Change during the Great Recession of 2008 to 2009. While cash flow was a concern, the biggest challenge was establishing the business and finding clients interested in the training programs. With no track record and many organizations having limited budgets for training, it was difficult to gain traction. In the early stages, the focus was on networking with a wide range of people to become known, build relationships, and offer support. When a networking group didn't exist, Robin created

one, which helped to expand contacts, gain knowledge, and build credibility for Ei4Change.

The ideals shaping Ei4Change's work culture and ethics

Like any successful company, Ei4Change's culture is the foundation of its success. It influences team morale, motivation, and collaboration with both the team and clients, affecting productivity and innovation. Ei4Change values open communication recognizes and rewards contributions, and promotes a sense of purpose and belonging. By embracing diversity and inclusion, the

Like many organizations, Ei4Change's success relies on delivering quality results that meet customer needs. The company uses its skills and capabilities to adapt to market changes while prioritizing ethical practices, environmental responsibility, and social impact.

Additionally, Ei4Change was well-positioned to benefit from the Covid pandemic. This unexpected opportunity underscored the importance of leveraging factors that contribute to success and making the most of available opportunities.

The unique aspect of Ei4Change

With emotional intelligence gaining recognition as a key skill

for workplace success, Ei4Change provides a convenient way for people to learn and develop these skills, no matter their location or schedule Emotional intelligence can be complex, involving the understanding of how emotions affect decisions and relationships. Ei4Change addresses this by focusing on practical applications rather than just theoretical concepts, helping participants build real-world emotional intelligence skills. Their courses are filmed in 1080p HD with clear audio and captions for non-native English speakers and the hard of hearing.

Documents are available online and comply with ADA/Section 508 standards for those with visual impairments. Interactive quizzes enhance the learning experience, making the courses inclusive and engaging. They are designed for anyone looking to improve skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, stress management, mindfulness, critical thinking, and decisionmaking, among others.

A book that inspires Ei4Change's success

There are many good books on emotional intelligence that delve into the topic in detail, but some can be quite academic and leave readers asking, “so what?” One of the standout books on emotional intelligence is Steven Covey's “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People ”

Published a few years before emotional intelligence became widely recognized, this book offers practical insights and strategies that remain highly relevant today. Covey's work emphasizes the importance of personal and interpersonal effectiveness, which aligns closely with the core principles of emotional intelligence. His ideas about habits and effectiveness continue to inspire and guide those looking to improve their emotional and professional skills.

Ei4Change's future vision

The demand for online courses is growing and changing. In the coming years, Ei4Change plans to improve the user experience by adding more gamification and making the courses more interactive. They are also incorporating AI tools in useful ways to enhance the learning process. Additionally, Ei4Change is working on creating supportive communities where participants can ask questions, share experiences, and learn from each other. This focus on interaction and support aims to make the learning experience more engaging and effective.

MPS Merchant Services Group Inc.

In an industry driven by technological advancements and rising demand for digital financial services, MPS Merchant Services Group Inc. is proving that the smartest innovations are those grounded in mission, inclusivity, and human impact. Behind this visionary enterprise is Dr. Sarah Sun Liew, a leader whose remarkable career bridges entrepreneurship, education, politics, and social transformation.

Founded in 1996, MPS Merchant Services began with a straightforward mission: to help small businesses navigate the complexities of payment processing. However, under Dr. Liew's leadership, the mission quickly evolved into a multifaceted

ecosystem that integrates payment processing, banking solutions, education, legal consulting, and real estate services, all under one umbrella.

Today, MPS Merchant Services is a platform for change and transformation that empowers businesses of all sizes.

A Mission Rooted in Merchant Empowerment

In the mid-90s, many merchants faced an uphill struggle when it came to accessing affordable and reliable payment solutions. Steep fees, limited transparency, and a lack of financial literacy about credit card processing created a cycle of dependence and disadvantage.

Dr. Sarah Sun Liew,

Dr. Liew recognized this gap and built a business model that went beyond processing financial transactions. MPS offered education, access, and trust. Dr Liew recalls, “We built a company that not only offered better rates but also educated merchants on the value of financial tools.”

The early years weren't easy for the company. Entering a saturated market with limited awareness required relentless outreach, community building efforts, and a deep understanding of the people and business MPS aimed to serve. However, Dr. Liew's approach to combining cutting-edge technology with personalized services and financial education set MPS apart right from day one.

Fintech Meets Humanity

So, what is it that makes MPS uniquely smart in today's business landscape?

It's the ability to seamlessly integrate financial technology with human-centric services, Dr. Liew says. She adds, “Our adaptability and foresight in embracing blockchain, AI, and cybersecurity trends make us pioneers in building trust, efficiency, and scalability for clients globally”

From blockchain-enabled transactions to PCI-compliant solutions, MPS has continually evolved to meet the needs of businesses in this digital-first world. But it's not just the

technology, it's the ecosystem that surrounds it. Dr. Liew says, “Our innovation lies in creating an ecosystem where clients can access bundled services—simplifying operations and improving efficiency.”

MPS is known for comprehensive payment processing solutions, including credit card terminals, POS systems, virtual gateways, and e-commerce integrations. Beyond fintech, its services span real estate management, legal consulting, immigration services, and education through Liberty Institute of Technology University

Innovation with Purpose

Innovation is often used as a buzzword within organizations and industries, but at MPS, it is embedded into the very core of its culture and services. Recently, the company launched Meridian Payment System, a blockchainpowered platform enhancing transaction security and transparency. MPS has also expanded globally, partnering with fintech giants like Worldpay, VANTIV, NPS, and leading banks, providing seamless cross-border services. Its workforce training programs for entrepreneurs and displaced workers, in partnership with major corporations, have empowered hundreds to reskill and thrive in the digital economy.

The company is also investing in AI tools to offer predictive analytics for merchants, helping them forecast trends and

optimize sales. By leveraging blockchain, which is a crucial part of its Meridian Payment System, MPS enhances transparency and reduces fraud. MPS is also embracing the growing area of green fintech, ensuring that its platforms and services are energy-efficient, sustainable, and align with global ESG goals.

Navigating Disruption with Faith and Agility

The past few years have tested businesses in unprecedented ways. The COVID-19 pandemic, economic instability, and digital disruption could have derailed organizations that were less prepared. But adaptability being its core strength, MPS turned adversity into opportunity.

Dr. Liew shares, “During the COVID-19 pandemic, we swiftly pivoted to offer contactless payment solutions, e-commerce support, and financial literacy webinars for struggling businesses. Economic downturns have taught us resilience, prompting diversification into real estate and legal consulting.” This adaptability, she emphasizes, comes from a combination of practical agility and faith-driven leadership – a principle that has guided her work across sectors and continues to keep MPS aligned with both market needs and its mission.

Social Impact at the Core

MPS operates on a belief and mission that extends beyond

profit – it champions business as mission (BAM). This belief is brought to life through the Meridian Wish Foundation, the company's philanthropic arm that supports entrepreneurship, job training, and community development.

“We run scholarship programs for underprivileged students, and our fintech solutions promote financial inclusion, enabling small businesses and minority-owned enterprises to thrive,” Dr. Liew says. Through its education arm, Liberty Institute of Technology University, e-learning platforms and AI-based curriculum personalization are leveraged to ensure students and professionals receive cuttingedge and relevant training.

Looking Ahead: Scaling a Movement

As MPS approaches its 30th anniversary in 2026, Dr. Liew's vision shows no sign of slowing. One of the most ambitious goals of the company for the future is to franchise its business model globally, expanding the reach of Liberty Bankcard, Meridian Payment System, and Liberty Institute of Technology University.

Additionally, MPS is also working on advancing blockchain-based government payment processing solutions to improve transparency and efficiency in public services. Perhaps the most inspiring goal is to train 10,000 entrepreneurs worldwide

by 2030, bridging the gap between fintech and social impact.

The Nature's Way Co., Ltd

The cosmetics industry has been witnessing evolving trends, consumer choices, and groundbreaking innovations. Recently, the demand for organic cosmetics has surged, driven by a global shift toward sustainability and mindful consumption. Yet, amidst the buzz surrounding “natural” and “organic” products, only a few brands truly represent the essence of authenticity. Nature's Way Co., Ltd. - Japan's oldest organic cosmetics company, stands as one of the rare pioneers in this space, redefining what it means to create beauty products that are organic, scientifically backed, and ethically responsible.

As we see the beauty industry further transform, Nature's Way remains unwavering in its commitment to integrity, sustainability, and innovation. With nearly five decades of expertise, an in-house manufacturing facility, and a development

department researching raw materials of plant origin, the company has carved out a niche that's hard to replicate. Under the leadership of Yoshiaki Hagiwara, Nature's Way is not just keeping up with cosmetic industry trends – it is setting them.

A Legacy of Authenticity in Organic Beauty

Founded in 1974, Nature's Way Co., Ltd. was ahead of its time in creating products that can be described as true natural organic cosmetics. While many brands today claim to be natural simply by adding a few botanical ingredients, Nature's Way has taken a more principled approach. The company firmly believes that organic cosmetics should be accurately represented and distinguished from conventional formulations so consumers can make informed choices and engage in correct consumption.

Yoshiaki Hagiwara,

This philosophy sets Nature's Way apart in an industry where many companies resort to greenwashing and marketing their products as “natural” without adhering to standards.

Innovation Rooted in Science and Sustainability

At the heart of Nature's Way's success is its ability to combine traditional botanical knowledge with advanced scientific research carried out in its factory. Most cosmetic companies outsource their production to third-party factories on an OEM basis. Although this approach saves them from the hassles of maintaining expensive factories, it limits their control over ingredients, quality, and sustainable practices.

On the other hand, Nature's Way takes a more challenging path and maintains its own factory to oversee every aspect of production. This strategic decision is based on the company's knowhow, one of its greatest strengths, and its goal of creating cosmetics that are uncompromisingly natural and organic.

The development department at the company doesn't just work to incorporate plant-based materials within the products. Yoshiaki says, “We identify the characteristics of plants and develop them in such a way that they can be successfully utilized as raw materials.

While the second half of cosmetics development involves proving scientific efficacy at the genetic level, in the early stages of development it is important to observe plants and identify their

characteristics. Not many companies can combine the two ”

A Commitment to Ethical and Sustainable Growth

Beyond innovation, Nature's Way has ingrained sustainability into its very DNA. One of its ambitious projects involves cultivating herbs in its own fields and start developing products, right from the soil. Realizing that the existing fields are contaminated with pesticides, Nature's Way took the unconventional step of creating its farm. Not all ingredients are grown

on its own farm, but the company operates the fields in accordance with the organic farming certification system recognized by the Japanese Government.

The next milestone for Nature's Way? The company wants to go to RO and create an ecosystem where not just organic herbs are grown, but the presence of its farm makes a positive contribution to the local community

Additionally, Nature's Way serves as Japan's exclusive distributor for Dr. Bronner's from the USA and

WELEDA from Europe. Both brands are widely respected for their pioneering efforts in organic cosmetics, and Nature's Way has been the longest-established distributor of their products in the world, some of which are developed in-house. This partnership further strengthens the company's influence in shaping the organic cosmetics and beauty market in Japan.

Navigating Industry Shifts with Agility and Vision

The COVID-19 pandemic was a major disrupting factor for many cosmetic brands. With reduced social interactions and fewer opportunities to wear makeup, there was a big decline in makeup sales worldwide. Nature's Way too experienced a slowdown.

However, the company analyzed that the reason for low sales was the shift in consumer preferences over the two years. Nature's Way also identified a deeper change in consumer tastes: consumers sought beauty products that did more than just enhance their appearance; they wanted skincare benefits built into their makeup.

This insight led to the 2025 relaunch of Naturaglace, one of the company's major brands. Unlike conventional makeup products that focus only on coverage and aesthetics, Naturaglace is formulated with 100 percent plant-derived ingredients that nourish and protect the skin.

The Future: Expanding Beyond Japan's Borders

With Japan's population declining,

the company has set its sights on international expansion. While Nature's Way already exports its products, primarily to Asia, there is immense potential for growth in other markets, where demand for truly organic cosmetics is on the rise

Establishing a global presence will surely come with challenges, but the company is well-positioned to leverage its decades of expertise, cutting-edge research, and strong brand credibility to succeed internationally

Lessons from a 50-Year Legacy

As a company that has been around for nearly half a century, Nature's Way offers its take on long-term business growth. The cosmetics industry is competitive, where new brands emerge every year, but a few stand the test of time.

What sets Nature's Way apart is not just its products but its philosophy. The company does not chase short-term trends or prioritize profits at the expense of authenticity. Instead, it works with a clear vision to create cosmetics that inspire confidence, nurture skin health, and contribute to a better planet.

As Yoshiaki aptly puts it, the key to innovation lies in having a strong sense of purpose or raison d'être While many businesses rely on conventional frameworks like 3C and SWOT analysis, true industry leaders understand that success is not just about following best practices but defining them.

In an industry where many brands struggle to differentiate

themselves, Nature's Way has built a legacy of authenticity and sustainability. As it embarks on its next chapter, the company is poised to reshape the organic cosmetics industry on a larger scale than ever before

Yoshiaki Hagiwara: Leading Innovation at Nature's Way Co., Ltd.

At the forefront of Nature's Way Co., Ltd. is Yoshiaki Hagiwara, a visionary leader with a deeprooted commitment to the cosmetics industry. After graduating from a university in Japan, Yoshiaki enrolled in a graduate school in China before embarking on a career with a general trading company in Japan. Later, he was stationed in Taiwan. His journey with Nature's Way marked a turning point, allowing him to play a pivotal role in advancing Japan's cosmetics industry.

Today, Yoshiaki's influence extends beyond his company. He serves as a director for key industry organizations like the Japan Cosmetics Industry Association, Aroma Environment Association, and Aichi Cosmetic Industry Association, which reinforce his dedication to driving innovation in the beauty sector
