AFTERGLOW AT THE ART WALK

Relive the incandescence of the pumpkins carved by our community, the radiance of the flotilla, and the luminosity of the sky lanterns at the Light Up the Park Afterglow event, Thursday, November 3 from 5-8 p.m. at the Quartzite Brewery.

Held in conjunction with the First Thursday Art Walk, Afterglow will feature photographs and videos captured by individuals at Light Up the Park.

Submissions may be emailed to sarah@scrld.org or brought to the event on a flash drive.

A UNIQUE EVENT

Light Up the Park’s co-chair Sarah English sums up this year’s event: The community really pulled together to make a Chewelah record for the “most fun” at one event at this year’s Light Up the Park. This event is such a beautiful metaphor-all of those pumpkins, each one different and unique, joining together to create such a warm and beautiful glow around our community.

The pumpkins in the flotilla in the creek showed that even if we have been called the poorest city in the state we're still keeping our heads above water and rolling with the waves and shining our lights bright. And oh my gosh, those lanterns, with everyone helping each other to light them and then cheering as they took off... Just breathtaking. It was totally worth missing the first half of the Cougar game to take part in those magical moments. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pictures and videos that folks took at Light Up the Park at our Afterglow event on Thursday at the Quartzite Brewery.
