Nationally known canoe-builder and instructor, Jerry Stelmok, will instruct a small class in the building of a 17 1/2' Thurlow-designed guide boat of wood-canvas construction. Wood-canvas canoes represent a technique used since the 1880's. Many consider this the finest technique for building a lightweight and strong canoe. Woodworking experience necessary.
