Nationally known canoe-builder and instructor, Jerry Stelmok, will instruct a small class in the building of a 17 1/2' Thurlow-designed guide boat of wood-canvas construction. Wood-canvas canoes represent a technique used since the 1880's. Many consider this the finest technique for building a lightweight and strong canoe. Woodworking experience necessary.

Jerry Stelmok has written a number of articles and books on canoebuilding, including the newly published The Wood-Canvas Canoe, coauthored with Rollin Thurlow.

A seminar for those sailors who have already developed their basic sailing skills and wish to acquire additional in-depth knowledge of advanced rigging and sails; methods for the setting and fine tuning of sails on high performance cruising and racing sailboats.
