Responding to this need, developer Pulse Property Solutions and builder Tricrest Construction have recently completed an innovative and contemporary housing solution for people living with a disability. The brief was to produce aesthetically pleasing buildings while at the same time meeting multiple codes and regulations in relation to the disability requirements. The designs not only needed to be functional and compliant, but also have the look and feel of a beautiful home. Each unit has been thoughtfully designed for people living with a disability and consists of two bedrooms and bathrooms designed to meet LHA Platinum design standards plus NDIS high physical Support requirements. This was achieved through a high level of engagement with various stakeholders and a huge amount of effort, together with lateral and critical thinking by both the builder and developer. Unique accessibility features Some of the unique accessibility features include structural provision for ceiling hoists, smart home automation (blinds, lighting, air conditioning), accessible kitchens and bathrooms with underbench access for wheelchairs, UPS back-up power systems and a stunning design with high skillion raked ceilings.
