To ensure the safety of our students, all adults on campus must carry BSB identification at all times.
If you see anyone on the school site without a lanyard, please stop them immediately and ask to see their BSB identification.
Both lanyards and ID badges should be worn to avoid being repeatedly challenged.

If there is any reason to suspect that a student has suffered bullying or discrimination, or is likely to suffer significant harm, you must inform the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) immediately.
Our staff will then follow the procedures according to the school Safeguarding Policy.

BSB IDENTIFICATION POLICY

WELCOME HEALTH & SAFETY
Welcome visitors to the BSB. While on campus, we request that you comply with the school policies and procedures.
Our main priority is to ensure that everyone who visits the school is aware of their responsibilities towards making sure all students are safe.
During your time at BSB:
Please sign in on arrival at the main security gate using the Visitor Registration Kiosk.
Please wear the given lanyard or sticker at all times to avoid being challenged by staff or students.
Report to the Reception in the Administration building, who will help you seek the right person you have come to meet with.
Remain with your host at all times. (If you are working alone with students we will require prior Safeguarding clearance for you).
All activities inside the British School of Bahrain are monitored and recorded by CCTV surveillance.
*When you leave the school, you must sign out at Security and return the lanyard.
HEALTH & SAFETY
If you feel unwell or suffer an accident on school premises, please report to Reception in order to access first aid facilities and assistance from a qualified first aider or the school nurse.
Parking and disabled access
Our car park is limited to our parents and staff. Visitors will be given allocated parking upon pre-arrangement with the host. Spaces are reserved for disabled access. There is a ramp or flat access to all the main buildings. The upper floors can be accessed via a lift.
The BSB is a NUT FREE school.
Hot drinks are not allowed to be carried around the school unless in a sealed, lidded and insulated cup.
If using the school WIFI, visitors must comply with the BSB Acceptable Use of ICT Policy.
Visitors’ toilets are located in the Administration building only.
We have designated Prayer Rooms on campus. The security needs to be notified for guest access.
The school is a NO SMOKING school including vapes and electronic cigarettes. The school will not tolerate abusive and threatening behaviour by visitors on site.
Photographs are not permitted unless prior approval is given (e.g. events).
If the fire alarm sounds, please leave the building immediately by the nearest exit and go to the assembly point on the main Astro Pitch. Our staff will direct you to report to a Fire Warden, where all visitors will be checked against the Visitor Registration Log.
Contractors on site should leave through the nearest exit and report to the Administrative Staff at the assembly point on the Astro Pitch.
