FIND YOUR TRIBE
editor’s note 2017 is fast coming to a close, which has me reflecting on the year that was. It’s been a year for getting out of our comfort zone and breaking down walls. Jenny and I made a commitment at the beginning of the year to overcome our – let’s not say fear - let’s call it firmly planted discomfort with being in front of the camera. We dove in by getting our mugs on our Instagram stories regularly, and we began posting live videos. Heck, I even interviewed a hairdresser on a bad hair day for our private Sunshine Coast Brides’ Tribe Facebook group!

In an effort to keep it very real indeed, Jenny road-tested an 8-week fitness challenge specifically designed for brides, sharing her workouts and progress along the way. I happily sat that one out at the time, but I’ve been inspired and we’ve decided in 2018 it will be my turn to take on a fitness challenge! Have you ever been equally afraid of and simultaneously desperate to try something new? That’s exactly how I felt about recording a podcast when I was interviewed for the Silicon Coast podcast. I actually loved the experience, and listening back I was pleasantly surprised that I only had a mild case of the cringes. Hey, don’t we all hate the sound of our own voices? Look out, 2018, who knows what we’ll tackle next?! Love,

Soft and romantic in style, our luxe styled shoot is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where our blushing bride and dashing groom frolicked under tents and tipis.
Simple and elegant with the breathtaking view as our backdrop, crisp white Bentwood chairs and mini tipi are a foreshadowing for the tipi reception to come.
Working with a clean colour palette of blush, white and grey with touches of gold throughout, the floral arrangements were a main feature of the shoot. Orchids and the most perfect roses in soft blush pink were used throughout the ceremony and reception, and in the bride’s bouquet.

Under the canopy of the Sperry Tent, round tables were dressed in lush grey linen, clean crystal glassware and shining gold cutlery. A spring menu of plated pork belly and Moreton Bay bugs are crowd-pleasing favourites
As a continuation of the dÊcor, the cake trio features a painted grey watercolour base with hand-cut wafer paper overlay. Fresh flowers in blush tones decorated the cakes, and matching vanilla bean cookies are a nice touch.
Tim wears a classic white shawl lapel jacket, slim black trousers and a black button slim-fit pleated French-cuff shirt with bow tie.
Molly wears a white embroidered and beaded tulle gown with ostrich feather detail by Judy Copley Bridal.
Molly’s golden locks are tamed into shiny glam curls, and her dreamy warm makeup perfectly complements her colouring.

MEDITER RANEAN ST YL E Images by Linzie Russo Photography Venue: Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar
Good food, relaxed vibes, waterfront location. These are all key elements to creating a Mediterranean-style wedding. Adding fresh white florals with abundant greenery and pops of yellow and blue, we created a Noosa wedding at one of its most famous Italian restaurants.
With a river view beyond the iconic Moreton Bay Fig Tree, our reception table setting follows our fresh springtime colour palette, with pops of colour. Citrus and blue patterned china give the distinct feeling we’re actually at an Italian vineyard.
Noosa Waterfront Restaurant specialise in Italian-style fine dining, presenting meals full of colour and flavour.
Hand-drawn illustrations and calligraphy with key styling elements of lemons and blue and white floral patterns. The bespoke stationery suite was personalised with our Mediterranean feel and colour palette in mind.
Spring blooms of various roses, stock double daffodil, Andromeda, ranunculus, mandarin foliage, olive leaf, privet berry, and ivy berry were constructed into arrangements fitting for the season.
Francesca wears the “Sasha gown from White Lily Couture, a dramatic fitted gown with plunging neckline and eye-catching crochet lace.

Francesca’s natural beauty is enhanced with a touch of glamour to suit the Noosa River location and relaxed Mediterranean vibes. Soft waves are topped off by a simple, yet elegant headband.
Any good Mediterranean host provides their guests with plenty of homely delicacies. Fresh sticks of bread, oils, olives and cheeses create a visually exciting and satisfying grazing station.
An alternative to the traditional wedding cake (or in addition to!) is the cheese wheel cake, an attractive table feature with simple rustic decoration of olive leaf.

Springtime Colour Inspired by springtime blooms, this sweet chapel wedding with a hint of a vintage vibe took place in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with the Glass House Mountains on the horizon. Images by Jennifer Oliphant Photographer Venue: Weddings at Tiffany’s
Ayeesha wears a custom-designed gown with a vintage influence in fresh pure white with lace detail, capped sleeves and a tulle skirt that was born to twirl.
Crystal glassware offsets the bling of the chandeliers in the dining room. Bringing colour to the table setting, fresh yellow, pink and peach flowers are like having a springtime garden indoors.
Soft and romantic is the look for model, Ayeesha; warm colours on the eyes with a peach cheek, pop of luscious pink on the lips and glowing complexion. Gentle waves frame the face with this loose upstyle, swept to a relaxed chignon in the back.
Thistles and succulents make for a unique bouquet when nestled among a posy of the more traditional roses in spring colours.
