editor’s note Has anyone else formed a love/hate relationship with all that the Big C has brought to our lives? Politics aside, paring back to picnics, family dinners, and walks in nature over nights out, shopping, and big events, has been kind of… peaceful. I’m not so idealistic as to not recognise the impact on our economy and local businesses. The wedding industry has had its fair share of setbacks, though we have a promising 2022 and 2023 of exciting weddings to look forward to!

Speaking of exciting weddings, one of my very best and most treasured friends has recently become engaged! Although I am positively surrounded by weddingy things, there is nothing quite like the anticipation of a wedding when you know and love the betrothed themselves. Congratulations Gemma and Dave! And to all of you lovely brides and grooms-to-be just joining us now, ready to embark on one of the most memorable times of your lives – the planning of the wedding. Someone once told me that the short period of time you get to call your partner, “fiancé” shouldn’t go to waste, so my first piece of advice to you is to use it frequently while you can.
