is a lovely trip from Mojacar and the Playa. Situated in the Los

Filabres Sierras it is about 30 mins drive from Mojacar and Turre. Follow the road to Bedar, which is very much worth a visit, and then carry on up the mountain until you get to Lubrin. There are places where you can stop to admire the view back to the coast and the views are breathtaking.

The town, like al the others in Andalusia, has Fiestas throughout the year and we’ll add them as they are announced.

After Lubrin take the road to Sorbas and just a few Kilometres further in El Pilar, you’ll come to a Boutique Hotel that serves really good traditional wood roasted food in a great atmosphere and with our favourite hosts. It’s called “Restaurante Albar”.

Tabernas & Sorbas

Tabernas is best know for Fort Bravo and Mini Hollywood but for music you need to visit Route 66 on the Sorbas to Tabernas Road.

It’s a very popular spot for everyone and well worth the journey from the coast. They put on mainly Spanish and Dutch bands and is a must if you want a very different experience, or planning on going to Tabernas. (Try the spare ribs if you have a big appetite).

out of Mojacar. It is also home to fine food and entertainment with Award Winning La Sorpresa at the Mojacar end of the town.

As you travel up Avenida de Almeria from Mojacar, you have Bar Zambra which has very good Tapas, and as with all the local restaurants you get a friendly welcome.

Solare is next on your right, and further up on your left Gloria’s Bar is also good for food and ice cream.

Cafe Royal English Tavern is further up on the right and it also has live Live Music.

The Bride of Clucky has recently opened and is on your right, followed by Los Angeles which has the best Fish and Chips around, and excellent meals.
