GAME PREVIEW: Benedictine advanced to the AAAA semifinals with a 48-13 win over Riverdale. This is the fourth time the Cadets have made it to the Final Four since 2013. BC’s offense has succeeded all season with a balance of run and pass. Holden Geriner has thrown for almost 2,500 yards with 23 touchdowns. LeShon Brooks and Justin Thomas lead the ground game with Thomas also being the second-leading receiver on the team and accounting for 22 total TDs. Trent Broadnax, who signed with Duke, is the leading receiver with 58 catches and 14 TDs. The defense had maybe its best game in the quarterfinals. The front seven pressured the quarterback most of the night and Bryce Baker, Holden Sapp, and Thomas all came up with interceptions. BC is attempting to advance to the state championship game for the first time since 2016.

Coordinator, Linebackers The 2020 team is undefeated and has been Howard Williams: Defensive Line nothing short of dominant. The defense has Matthew Burke: Running Backs held opponents to 14 points or less in nine Caleb Collins ’09: Wide Receivers of 11 games with four shutouts. The offense Tony Orsini: Outside Linebackers runs a high-powered, triple-option attack Charlie Jung: Fullbacks, Equipment Specialist which has scored 40 or more points in seven Carey Harriott ’76: Director of Equipment Transport games. Malaki Starks runs the offense from Henry Meyers III: Strength Coach his quarterback position. The blue-chip Sean Holcey ’92: Strength Coach recruit averages more than 10 yards per carry and has offers from most prominent Brian Tuten: Head Athletic Trainer programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Ed Livingston: Athletic Trainer Susan Dress Johnson: Director of Football Operations and Georgia.
