We are well aware that the cost of living crisis continues to make things difficult for many people. We have dedicated much of this magazine to sharing how we can help you. If it’s benefits support, employment or training, we have the right people to help you out. Please do not think that you are alone - we’re here to help and will do everything we can to make sure you feel financially safe.
Earlier this year we celebrated our 2021 Community Awards. I’m always blown away by the amount of hard work and dedication the people of Barnet put into supporting their communities, so I’m delighted to be able to share some of the winners’ stories with you here. Turn to page 14 to find out who our winners were, and the difference they make to Barnet.
As well as making sure you feel financially safe, our top priority is ensuring your homes remain safe and secure. Our Major Works team has been working tirelessly since the tragic Grenfell Tower fire on our high and medium rise buildings across the borough. This includes installing sprinklers, replacing fire doors and improving lighting
It’s this time of the year that our residents’ gardens are looking at their absolute best. We love to show them off in our Finest Flowers competition, and there’s still time to enter this year’s festival of bloom. Just turn to page five to find out how. Enjoy your summer, Tim
