Platinum Jubilee celebrations

This year saw Her Majesty The Queen become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. To mark this historic 70-year reign, celebrations took place across Britain over the extended bank holiday weekend in June.

Many Barnet Homes residents joined in these celebrations, some attended street parties, and those attending our day centres or living in our sheltered schemes got together to organise their own afternoon teas, or ‘Big Jubilee Lunches’.
