Diabetes Awareness Month
is a great time to talk about blood sugar, but this isn’t a topic just for those with diabetes! Keeping your blood sugar stable throughout the day can lead to better energy, fewer cravings, and even an improved mood, benefits everyone can appreciate.
The key to balance is simple: a smart, fibre-rich diet that slows the absorption of sugars into your bloodstream. Try filling half your plate with non-starchy vegetables and pairing carbohydrates with protein and healthy fats to slow down the release of glucose.
Beyond diet, certain herbs and supplements are studied for their potential to support this process.
• Chromium is an essential trace mineral that may help your body use insulin more effectively, thereby helping to keep blood sugar levels normal.
• Bitter Melon Fruit (Momordica charantia), is the vine used in traditional medicine. Its fruit contains compounds such as charantin and polypeptide-p that are thought to act like insulin, helping to lower blood glucose and promote glucose uptake.
• Gymnema Sylvestre Leaf, known as the “sugar destroyer” in Ayurvedic medicine, may help to reduce sugar cravings by blocking sweet taste receptors on the tongue. More importantly, its active compounds may block sugar absorption in the intestine and stimulate insulin secretion.
• Vanadium Citrate has been researched primarily in animal models for their “insulin-mimetic” properties, meaning they can mimic the effects of insulin, enhancing glucose uptake and metabolism.
Balancing your blood sugar is a powerful step towards overall wellness. In addition to diet and potential supplements, incorporating light exercise—especially after meals—can significantly help your muscles use up excess glucose. Prioritize adequate sleep and manage stress as both can impact hormone levels that affect blood sugar. Commit to these changes and you’ll soon enjoy the incredible feeling of steady energy, clear focus, and vitality that comes with a body in balance!
Promote healthy blood sugar levels with GlucoChrom, a vegan formulation that provides natural support from a combination of trace minerals (chromium, vanadium citrate) and herbs (bitter melon fruit, gymnema sylvestre leaf).
Key Benefits:
• Helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels
• Promotes the reduction of body fat and the increase of lean muscle mass (when combined with a healthy diet and exercise)
• Promotes beneficial effects on blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels

The holiday season is a cherished time for joy, connection and celebration. While festive meals and treats are part of the tradition, they need not derail your health goals. With thoughtful planning and mindful choices, you can enjoy the holidays while staying on track. Here are some practical tips to help you maintain balance, and stay energized and well throughout the season:
Aim for a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity each day. Whether it is walking, dancing, or playing with the kids, choose something enjoyable. Invite friends or family to join you—it is a great way to stay motivated and make memories. Fitness trackers and apps can also serve as helpful reminders to keep moving. Don’t let exercise go on vacation!

Never attend a party on an empty stomach. Eat a healthy snack or light meal beforehand to help curb cravings and make better food choices.
If a big dinner is planned, opt for a lighter lunch. At gatherings, fill your plate once and avoid going back for seconds. Choose foods you truly enjoy and eat slowly. Just because something is offered doesn’t mean you have to eat it.
Avoid skipping your favourite rich foods entirely, as this can lead to overindulgence later. Instead, start with lighter, nutritious options, such as a green salad or a bowl of lentil soup, then savour small portions of indulgent dishes. Aim to feel satisfied, not stuffed.
Sometimes what feels like hunger is actually thirst or fatigue. Before reaching for a snack, drink water. If the craving fades, you were likely dehydrated. Prioritize sleep and hydration, as they are essential to your overall wellness.
The holidays are about people, not just food. Celebrate the beauty of the season and the company of loved ones. Stick to your fitness routine and plan meals to avoid mindless eating. Remember: failing to plan is planning to fail.
Enjoy the holidays with intention and joy. Your health is a gift—treat it with care and gratitude.

When it comes to growing your AIM business, facts and features can only take you so far. People don’t just buy products. They connect with people. And the fastest way to build that connection is through a good story.
That’s the real power of storytelling. It turns a pitch into a conversation. It takes something ordinary and makes it feel personal, memorable, and real. When done right, storytelling makes your business more than a list of benefits. It becomes something people want to be part of.
h she was t taakkinng and I figured I

Your story doesn’t have to be dramatic or perfect. It just has to be honest. Start by thinking about what led you to this point. Why did you join AIM? What were you looking for at the time? What made you say yes?
It could have been about wanting more energy. Or needing something reliable for your wellness goals. Or maybe you were looking for a side business that felt meaningful. Whatever your “why” is, share it.
Then, think about what changed. What have you noticed since starting? Has your routine gotten easier? Are you more confident talking about wellness? Have you helped someone else feel better or make a positive change?
These are the moments that shape your story. They don’t have to sound polished. In fact, the more real they are, the more people will relate.
Your story creates a connection. When you tell your story in your own words, you let people see who you are. That makes you approachable. And it gives others permission to ask questions, relate to your experience, and open up about what they’re going through.
That’s where the relationship begins
Stories can be part of everything you do, not just the About Me page on your website. You can tell parts of your story in social media posts, short videos, emails, or even conversations at the grocery store.
Instead of starting with product facts, start with a moment. For example, rather than saying, “This product has X vitamins,” say, “Last winter, I kept getting sick. A friend told me about
something she was taking, and I figured I had nothing to lose. Within weeks, I noticed a difference.”
It’s simple. It’s honest. And it invites curiosity.
Once someone is interested, you can talk more about how the product works. But the story gets them to lean in.

As your business grows, you’ll hear stories from customers and team members who have had great results. These stories are just as powerful as your own.
Ask for permission to share them. Write them down or record short videos if people are open to it. Use first names and keep things short. The goal isn’t to impress. It’s to show that real people are benefiting.
If you’re using your MY AIM Store website, your story should be part of your homepage, “About Me” section, and blog. Use your blog to talk about what you’re learning. Share small moments that show how your routine has changed.
You could write a post about your favourite morning smoothie, what’s in it, and why you love it. Or share a quick story about how you stayed healthy during a busy week. These posts might seem small, but they paint a bigger picture over time.
They also give people reasons to come back. That’s how trust builds.
Storytelling is more than a marketing tactic. It’s how we connect, relate, and build community.
When you lead with your story, you make your business feel human. You invite people into your world in a way that no product feature ever could. And you give others a reason to believe—not just in what you’re selling, but in the possibility of something better for themselves.
So if you’re looking for a way to grow your business with heart, start with your story.

Shared Edna Smith, Chairman’s Club Director, Stayner, ON
The love of my life has been residing in Heaven since August 17, 2025, just two weeks after his 85th birthday. It was my privilege to share 61 beautiful years of marriage with Hilton, my best friend, encourager, helpmate, and father of our two sons. I miss him dearly but find peace in trusting that he is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Saviour. It was his heartfelt hope that those he loved would share in his faith journey with Jesus that meant so much to him.

Despite being on hemodialysis for almost 20 years, Hilton remained active, continued to work and enjoyed life. He enriched his diet with supplements and faithfully took a tablespoon of AIM BarleyLife twice a day, even when his nutritionist and nephrologist advised against it at the start of dialysis. Eventually, his nephrologist saw its benefits and encouraged him to continue. His dialysis schedule was reduced, and he required minimal medication until the final weeks.

With a farming background, Hilton understood the importance of balanced nutrition for our cattle, along with proper pH for our soils. When he served as president of Smith Bros Farms Ltd, they developed an “additive-free beef”, but it was ahead of the demand. There was not enough interest in that kind of product; the same as people looked at you as if you were crazy when you tried to educate them about drinking a “green juice”. My, how times have changed!
Speaking of AIM’s green juice, BarleyLife, I ran with the business opportunity, but much of our AIM success I attribute to Hilton’s unwavering support, prayers & involvement. He helped with home meetings and trade shows plus attended meetings and conferences. On occasion, his “Red Green” impersonation brought joy to AIM meetings as well. He not only shared AIM products but also delighted in sharing produce from his bountiful vegetable garden. After he retired from working, he also did the shopping and prepared meals, giving me more time to focus on AIM.

AIM Canada administrative office and warehouse will be closed on the following holidays:
•Tuesday, November 11 – Remembrance Day
•Thursday & Friday, December 25–26 –Christmas Day & Boxing Day
•Thursday, January 1, 2026 – New Year’s Day
Season’s Greetings, The Staff of AIM Canada In

Over our 38 years with AIM, we enjoyed many travel adventures while growing our AIM Business. As our business grew, so did our friendships! At Hilton’s Celebration of Life, I was deeply touched and wish to thank all of our precious AIM friends who came to pay tribute to this amazing man, as well as others who emailed, phoned or sent cards with such lovely messages.

Yes, Hilton was amazing in many ways; he was always positive and enthusiastic, no matter the trial, thanking God each morning for His promise of new mercies. He was full of wisdom as he daily asked for that too. Indeed no matter who he was with—an AIM Member, a farm worker, family member, nurse, or neighbour—he always had an appropriate word of encouragement.
As a gifted vocalist, Hilton’s voice resonated through our church choir and various singing groups, bringing inspiration to many. After stepping down from public singing, he continued to serenade me with our favourite gospel songs during praise times at home. One such favourite was “Loving God, Loving each Other” by the Gather Vocal Band. Hilton’s life certainly portrayed that truth.
Hilton’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who shared in his laughter, his music, and his unwavering love and kindness. I thank God for the gift of such a loving and faithful husband. And I praise Him that I don’t have to say “Goodbye,” but rather, “See you later.”
With a grateful heart,
Edna
Testimonial should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

As we welcome the New Year with fresh hopes and exciting possibilities, let’s embrace the chance to make 2026 our best year yet. With heartfelt gratitude to each of you, we look forward to the journey ahead. May the warmth of loved ones fill your heart with joy this season. Wishing you health, happiness, and countless blessings.
