FAVORITE COZY COMFORT: Sporting a cozy matching set and curling up in front of a crackling fire with a red wine like Barbera—or, if I’m feeling really chilled, a spicier pour like Carmenère.

With a top speed of 282 mph, Bugatti’s new supercar is the world’s fastest convertible. By
Basem Wasef
The mere existence of the $5 million Bugatti Chiron is a bit of a modern automotive miracle, considering its groundbreaking Veyron predecessor couldn’t turn a profit during its decade-long run of 450 cars. Like its precursor, the Chiron platform is powered by a dizzyingly complex engine whose 16 cylinders are arranged in a “W” configuration. The power plant’s swan song is the openair Mistral, named after the blustery winter breezes that haunt southern France. Production is limited to just 99 units.
Driving the Mistral from Bugatti’s atelier in Molsheim, France, reveals two seemingly contradictory forces: a nuanced
symphony of exquisitely finished carbon fiber, supple hides, and polished metal surfaces, and the face-flattening force of the quad-turbocharged 1,578-horsepower W16, whose 282 mph top speed makes it the fastest convertible on Earth. Whereas the closed-roof Chiron encapsulates two occupants in a plush cocoon, the Mistral welcomes outside elements while introducing different forces altogether: the aural fascination of air whooshing into the massive intakes, the whirring of the turbocharger impellers, and the deep bass frequencies of the sonorous exhaust. Also counterintuitive is how this wide-hipped, low-slung roadster manages to glide imperviously over the road despite its heft, demonstrating vast improvements over its high-dollar predecessors. If you’re thinking this moment of peak internal combustion is fleeting, fear not: the Tourbillon, the Chiron’s successor, will also boast a sprawling 16-cylinder engine. However, that V16 will lack turbochargers—and therefore be even more thunderous—while gaining the thrust of three electric motors, creating the most extreme expression of the Bugatti brand yet.

THE RECENT VALUE SURGE OF LAMBORGHINI CLASSICS HAS PROMPTED A RENEWED BRAND FOCUS.
Here’s why vintage Lamborghinis may be the next hot car-investment trend.
By Basem Wasef
When it comes to automotive investments, Ferrari usually rules the roost. While the Prancing Horse brand has long been the gold standard for rising values, its bull-themed neighbor down the road in Motor Valley is charging ahead with newfound vigor.
Ferruccio Lamborghini built his first supercar in 1963 after famously being slighted by Enzo Ferrari, but it took decades for his upstart to become a serious contender against Maranello’s team rosso. While Lambos like the sumptuous Miura offered a platonic ideal of rolling curves, and the boxy LM002 “Rambo Lambo” was a military-chic SUV long before the genre became fashionable, it wasn’t until the Countach graced the posters of countless teenage bedrooms in the 1980s that the brand achieved peak idolatry.
Ferruccio’s grudge finally started to pay off when classic Lambo values began rising a few years ago. The bullish performance was bolstered by the establishment of Polo Storico, the brand’s in-house heritage division. Currently celebrating its 10th anniversary, Polo Storico offers authorized restoration, authentication, and extensive historical documentation services that separate the exotic car wheat from the proverbial chaff with pontifical levels of authority.
Though roughly half as old as Ferrari’s in-house Classiche division, Lamborghini’s newfound focus on the classics couldn’t have come soon enough: One source estimates Lamborghinis have been enjoying a 45 percent gain in value over the past five years with no slowing in sight, promising blue skies ahead for the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand.

La Dolce Vita Orient Express combines old-world glamour with modern amenities and excursions. By

a Dolce Vita Orient Express is seducing travelers and helping them rediscover the romance of rail in Italy. Touted as the “Renaissance of Rail,” this new chapter of the legendary Orient Express features mid-century Italian design, Michelin-starred dining, and curated itineraries through the country’s most celebrated regions, with included excursions and optional add-ons.
Guests departing from Rome can sip cocktails or espresso in the opulent private members’ lounge prior to departure, complete with live jazz. Once they embark, exceptional Italian cuisine is overseen by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck, who crafts menus inspired by the regions through which La Dolce Vita travels. Multicourse meals served in the dining car may include fresh bread and local olive oil, cacio e pepe orecchiette, smoked gnocchi, and olive-crusted lamb with artichokes, paired with a curated list of Italy’s finest wines. Dinner service and attire are formal, while the saloon car offers cocktails, live music day and night, and a relaxed yet glamorous lounge setting.
The train’s refurbished interiors celebrate mid-century Italian design, with rich lacquered and mirrored surfaces, geometric patterns, and suede-covered accent walls that evoke the glamour of the 1960s. Suites and public spaces are finished in a warm palette of burnished orange, marine blue, dark plum, and ecru. Guests can choose from 18 sumptuous suites (118 square feet) or 12 deluxe sleeping cabins (75 square feet).
Each air-conditioned suite features a European double bed dressed in Italian linens, a combined dining table and desk, a private ensuite bath, a wardrobe, a safe, a Dyson hairdryer,
USB chargers, and a fold-out bedside table. Thoughtful deluxe amenities include chocolates, strawberries, Milanese toiletries, and cozy robes and slippers.
Nearly 20 distinctive itineraries showcase Italy’s varied landscapes and favorite cities and towns. One route begins in Rome, passes through Tuscany and Pisa, and arrives in Venice, where passengers embark on an exclusive excursion in a sleek wooden speedboat worthy of James Bond to a 16th-century Venetian palace for a formal dinner. Guests glide through the countryside overnight and awaken in Santa Margherita, where breakfast is served on board, followed by local boutique shopping. A private boat then whisks them along the Portofino coastline, where they disembark in this coastal gem to sample local ingredients over lunch at a pre-selected restaurant. A shuttle returns them to Santa Margherita to reboard La Dolce Vita. Other one-way and roundtrip journeys span one to three nights and highlight various regions, including Montalcino in the Tuscan countryside and the country’s renowned coastlines.
The Orient Express first launched in 1883 and quickly became known as “The Train of Kings” and later as “The King of Trains.” Though the original line ended in 1962, its legacy has continued with several other eponymous lines since the mid-20th century, and now with the debut of the La Dolce Vita fleet. Refurbished under the direction of Paolo Barletta and his luxury hospitality group, Arsenale, the itineraries build on the Orient Express’s prestigious legacy while incorporating every contemporary comfort for a one-of-a-kind luxury vacation. n

As the advent calendar counts down, we have our sights set on these three cities, where a classic European holiday experience—filled with warm drinks, traditional treats, ice-skating rinks, and handcrafted gifts—awaits.
By Bruce Wallin

From the music-filled squares of Salzburg to the snowy streets of Innsbruck, Austria’s Christmas markets are second to none. The annual tradition is taken to extremes in Vienna, which hosts more than 20 markets in season, including one of Europe’s largest and most over-the-top examples.
The Danish capital is unique among Christmas market destinations for one primary reason: Tivoli Gardens. The historic amusement park, which opened in 1843 (and inspired Walt Disney as he was dreaming up plans for Disneyland), transforms into a winter wonderland each year from mid-November to early January. The festive, fairytale atmosphere—complete with roller coasters, carousels, live music performances, and other amusement-park attractions—sets a magical tone for the annual market, with its vendor stalls, ice-skating rink, elf train, and more.
Tivoli Gardens is located in the heart of the city, less than 15 minutes by foot from the brandnew 1 Hotel Copenhagen. Opened in September, the 282-room property is a perfect fit in the forward-thinking Copenhagen, with its sleek Nordic design and focus on sustainability. Nature and greenery permeate the experience at the hotel, which includes pocket gardens, wildflower-lined terraces, a living wall, and even a “bee hotel” to house a population of urban pollinators.
In addition to Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen’s many Christmas market options include the traditional Højbro Plads and a relatively new Hans Christian Andersen–themed market at Nytorv in the town center.
The Rathausplatz market fills the square in front of Vienna’s city hall with nearly 100 vendor stalls, a carousel, dazzling light displays, and several ice-skating rinks connected by a network of paths lined with food and drink stands. Favored indulgences at the Rathausplatz, as at Vienna’s many other Christmas markets, range from bratwurst and käsespätzle (egg noodles and cheese topped with fried onions) to apple strudel, gooey raclette, and glühwein
Vienna’s holiday markets also stand out for their variety. Rather than sprawling across a square, the city’s Spittelberg market snakes along narrow cobblestone streets in the arts district. Vienna’s oldest Christmas market, dating to the early 1700s, holds court in Freyung Square, where live music and theater performances add to the festive atmosphere. But perhaps the city’s most striking holiday scene can be found at the Stephansplatz market, where the towering St. Stephen’s Cathedral (Austria’s tallest church) glows with holiday lights and decorations.
Just in time for the festive season, the Mandarin Oriental, Vienna, opened this October in an art nouveau building less than five minutes by foot from the spectacle at Stephansplatz. Set within Vienna’s famed Ringstrasse, the hotel is also close to the luxury boutiques along Graben, itself a marvel of festive decorations during the season. The Mandarin Oriental’s holiday offerings include nighttime city tours in a Fiaker carriage and access to classical and choral music performances at St. Stephen’s.

Prague’s Old Town essentially becomes one sprawling, charming, interconnected Christmas market over the holidays, with just about every square, large and small, hosting its own festivities. The two major markets are in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, located within walking distance of each other in the city center.
Just around the corner from Wenceslas Square, the Almanac X Alcron Prague is an ideal base from which to explore all the holiday happenings. The contemporary hotel, which opened in 2023 within a converted 1930s-era building, focuses year-round on facilitating insider experiences in the Czech capital. Guests can visit a family-owned crystal manufacturer for a glassmaking workshop, take painting lessons with Czech artist Jan Bican, enjoy a custom fashion experience with designer Lukáš Macháček, and more.
For this year’s holidays, the Almanac X is going all in on Prague’s Christmas spirit with a seasonal design featuring works by Decor by Glassor, known for its mouth-blown, hand-painted ornaments. Glass bows in pink and white will adorn a 12-foot-tall Christmas tree, the centerpiece of a temporary “forest” in the hotel’s lobby.
The Almanac will also offer neighborhood tours that take guests to some of the city’s smaller, less touristed holiday markets. Wherever Prague’s cobblestone streets and holiday lights lead, keep an eye out for locally made glass ornaments, Prague ham (cooked over an open fire), sweet dumplings, and mulled wine.
Palace Hotel Tokyo’s triple Michelin distinction. By Laura Corrigan O’Connell

teps from the bustling Marunouchi district yet immersed in the serenity of the Imperial Palace gardens, Palace Hotel Tokyo is more than a place to stay—it’s a destination in its own right. Fusing timeless Japanese tradition with contemporary sophistication, the property has garnered global acclaim, including the coveted recognition of three Michelin Keys. In this exclusive conversation, Masaru Watanabe, senior managing director and general manager, shares how the hotel embodies omotenashi—the spirit of Japanese hospitality—and curates experiences that connect guests not just to the city, but to the soul of Japan.

Palace Hotel Tokyo has become a destination in itself. What makes the experience of staying here stand apart from other luxury properties in the city?
Palace Hotel Tokyo is situated at 1-1-1 Marunouchi, in the very heart of the upscale Marunouchi district—a hub for business, shopping, and gourmet dining—while simultaneously offering the tranquility and rich, natural beauty of the Imperial Palace gardens. Uniquely, the hotel allows guests to experience the contrast between our ever-changing metropolis and the rich, intricate history that’s woven into the Imperial Palace—past and present.
The hotel’s heritage and setting are remarkable. How do its history, architecture, and proximity to the important landmarks shape the atmosphere guests enjoy today?
For over half a century, standing just in front of the Imperial Palace gardens, our hotel has been respectful to Japanese traditions and dignity. Following our three-year rebuild [completed in 2012], however, we have also come to symbolize both modern sophistication and Japanese tradition and dignity. As the singular hotel situated amidst the Imperial Palace gardens, it is one of the most beloved and culturally significant places in Japan.
We endeavor to make guests experience the true heart of Japan.
“Experience the Heart of Japan” is, in fact, our brand concept. With all guest rooms featuring views of the Imperial Palace gardens and an art collection that takes inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds the property, guests can always feel the serene atmosphere of Marunouchi while at Palace Hotel Tokyo. We aspire to be timeless—just like the Imperial Palace.
Service is often what defines a true luxury stay, and Palace Hotel Tokyo has been recognized with three Michelin Keys, a rare distinction. What does this recognition say about the level of service and hospitality guests can expect?
As an independently operated Japanese hotel, we’re very honored to receive such high praise. For us, omotenashi is not about gimmicky or attention-getting service, but about creating relaxing and comfortable spaces and environments for our guests throughout the hotel— complemented by an astute staff offering unobtrusive service to each guest at every turn. The warmest, simplest gestures can make our guests feel at ease and at home, ultimately delivering a sophisticated stay experience.
What’s new or upcoming at Palace Hotel Tokyo that guests can look forward to in the coming year?
Toward the end of the year, we’ll be debuting “A Tokyo Christmas,” a stay package that will present guests with the opportunity to enjoy the city’s festive atmosphere during the holiday season— including an in-room Christmas tree and a privately guided tour of the marvelous illuminations on display around the city, including stops at Christmas markets and the opportunity to have a photographer capture the entire experience.

man’s most luxurious offering isn’t a suite—it’s a deed. The brand that built its reputation on remoteness and restraint is now doing something even more exclusive than a sold-out resort: presenting the right to stay forever. Once a fringe idea, Aman’s residential program has become a core business, generating $5.7 billion in the past three years alone. The company is retrofitting its most iconic hotels with private homes, transforming loyal guests into permanent residents—and changing the shape of luxury hospitality in the process.
Aman’s residential strategy plays out along two clear lines: adapting its legacy resorts to include private homes, and developing new properties where ownership is the premise from the outset. In southern Utah, Amangiri is adding 12 residences by original architect Marwan Al-Sayed, extending the language of the resort into privately held form. Completion is expected in 2025. Each four- to eight-bedroom villa occupies five to 19 acres. Cast concrete mirrors the desert’s sedimentary strata, and the architecture pulls so cleanly from the landscape that the distinction between built and natural forms nearly disappears.
existing property. Pools are centered in internal courtyards, framed by colonnades and latticework. Rather than reinterpret Tuttle’s vision, the new homes extend its logic.
The pipeline continues to grow. Kerry Hill Architects leads Aman Beverly Hills, part of a 17.5-acre botanical campus scheduled to open in 2027. In New York, Jean-Michel Gathy’s penthouses at the Crown Building have already set market benchmarks: $75 million for one; $66 million for another sold before the buyer ever set foot inside. In Tokyo, Aman’s tower recently closed a $225 million sale—the most expensive residential transaction in Japanese history.
Global demand for branded residences continues to surge. More than 700 projects are currently active, with 600 more in the works. Aman consistently outperforms comparable luxury stock, with most offerings selling out well before construction begins. Post-pandemic buyers aren’t just looking for privacy— they want turnkey infrastructure. These properties arrive preloaded with service, security, and spatial logic engineered to replicate the hotel experience down to the smallest detail.
In Morocco, Amanjena—Edward Tuttle’s 2000 study in Moorish symmetry—will soon release its first residential offering. South African firms SAOTA and ARRCC have introduced lime-washed oak, tadelakt plaster, and carved stone detailing that aligns materially and proportionally with the
The numbers tell one story. The mission tells another: The majority of future Aman hotel projects will include a residential component, reinforcing the brand’s evolution from hospitality provider to full-spectrum lifestyle curator. Aman is offering residency in a world of its own making, selling what it has always provided most effectively: enduring belonging.

Intel from the 37th-annual Virtuoso travel conference.
By Samantha Brooks
As a leader in the luxury travel industry, Virtuoso acts as a network for more than 20,000 travel advisors in 58 countries across the world, as well as a conduit for preferred treatment and benefits at more than 2,500 top hotels and resorts. Each August, the invitation-only organization hosts a conference in Las Vegas to connect these hotels and travel insiders and share stats, trends, and awards. Here are some highlights from this year’s event, which was attended by more than 4,700 guests from 105 countries.
Global Awards: The Regent Hong Kong was given the award for Best Brand Hotel, while across the globe, the Regent Santa Monica Beach was recognized as Best New or Reimagined Hotel. When it comes to smaller hotels,
the Dewberry Charleston was named Best Independent Hotel.
Sustainability Awards: The Royal at Atlantis in the Bahamas was lauded for its 20 years of marine conservation, coral reef restoration, and rescue and release of more than 7,500 sea turtles. Meanwhile, the Jordan Tourism Board was honored for its support of vulnerable communities, such as women’s weaving cooperatives and youth training programs.
Media Myths: Despite news stories claiming that travel is down, that foreigners are avoiding the United States, and that younger generations are the ones supporting sustainability, Virtuoso shared that its data shows travel in all categories (including business and leisure) is up; the United
States is still a top destination for people across the globe; and the Boomer generation is leading the charge to combat overtourism.
Hotel Rates: Anyone who has booked a hotel since the pandemic has seen prices soar. At the luxury level, hotels in the United States averaged just under $800 per night in 2019, compared with more than $1,200 in 2025.
On an international level, luxury hotels were averaging just under $1,000 per night in 2019 and rose to nearly $1,600 per night by 2025.
Where to Next: When it comes to booking trips for fall, the top locations sought by Virtuoso clients, ranked from most to least popular, are the United States, Italy, France, Mexico, the UK, Spain, Japan, Greece, Canada, and Portugal.

In addition to its surf shop, wellness amenities include The Spa in El Bosque, several pools, and an open-air yoga pavilion. There’s a huge variety of breaks— reef, point, and beach—that cater to all levels. One that’s a favorite with locals is Popoyo, a legendary reef break that draws surfers from all over the world and is known for its long, powerful lefts and rights. Panga Drops, Los Perros, Playa Colorado, Manzanillo Point, and Playa Santana are other standouts, as is Playa Maderas near San Juan del Sur, known for its laid-back scene. There’s more on offer beyond the waves, including sandboarding, bird-watching, nature tours, horseback riding, and volcano hikes—not to mention gorgeous nightly sunsets.
Surfers will come to love the hearty fare and homey vibes of Nicaragua’s many fritanga joints, serving local specialties such as gallo pinto, the country’s staple dish of red beans and rice, sometimes with eggs and fried plantains. La Coral, in particular, is a popular spot.

Other casual eats up and down the Emerald Coast include La Calabria, Dutchy’s Deli, and Casa Ananas. La Finca y El Mar offers fine dining showcasing Nicaraguan ingredients, including produce grown in its own garden. La Taquería, adjacent to Rancho Santana’s surf shop, is an ideal place to refuel after a day on your board.

Hot tip: Stick around after your meal for live piano music and a cozy after-hours vibe.
The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage has just completed a two-year, resort-wide renovation of its 260 guest rooms and suites, two on-site restaurants, and two pools. Now marking a full decade in the desert, the resort’s original Spanish Colonial architecture has been infused with modern, mid-century touches. Enhanced poolscapes now include more cabanas, providing additional places to post up and take in epic valley vistas.
Just in time for its 25th anniversary, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara has unveiled a multimilliondollar makeover. Designed by Meyer Davis, the new rooms blend Chumash-inspired textiles, aged leather, and terra-cotta tones for an aesthetic that’s both comfortable and firmly rooted in the region. Four new dining concepts present a range of casual and elevated fare—just imagine diving into a locally harvested rockfish paired with a cool glass of prosecco. American Riviera, here we come.

San Diego’s legendary Hotel del Coronado has completed a six-year, $550 million transformation, sparking a new wave of excitement for the 137-yearold oceanfront resort. The designer and real estate developer finds balance in the flow between her creative projects and the regenerative rhythms of her Hudson Valley retreat.
By Laura Corrigan O’Connell
At 34, Amalia Graziani splits her time between New York City and the Hudson Valley, where she is the founder of Callisto—a retreat, regenerative farm, and culinary hub carved out of a 19th-century dairy farm. The property, home to guest residences, barns, animals, orchards, and an ever-evolving kitchen, represents Graziani’s vision for thoughtful design rooted in both beauty and sustainability. She cut her teeth renovating homes in the Hamptons and, by what she calls a “stroke of good luck,” turned that first project into a full-time career restoring distressed properties. Here’s how she approaches wellness…
Fitness: Graziani’s relationship with movement started with an Olympic-track swimming regimen during her adolescence. That intensity, she explains, has since shifted into a more intuitive, relaxed approach. “Now I just focus on whatever moves energy out of my body,” she says. A typical week finds her constantly walking across job sites, harvesting at Callisto, and staying active on projects. When time allows, she gravitates to SLT, New York Pilates, and long hikes in the Hudson Valley.
Nutrition: Living and working at Callisto means her diet is hyper-seasonal by default. “Usually, it’s
charred vegetables from the farm, local meats, and lots of bread and butter made with basil or fig leaf oil—or honey from our bees,” she says. She favors whole foods but has grown more relaxed about eating with age. Supplements like NAD, Wellbel, and vitamins C and D are part of her routine. Breakfast often slips her mind, so she tends to eat mid-afternoon—favorites include a quinoa, walnut, and sweet potato salad from nearby café Hash. Comfort comes in the form of Swedish Fish or a cardamom bun, while an old-fashioned and fries are her go-to indulgences when out.
Mindfulness: Mental health has always been central for Graziani, and she credits mindfulness practices with opening many of the opportunities in her life. Transcendental Meditation is her most reliable reset, and she notices the difference when she stays consistent. Hot yoga, infrared saunas, and even a hike on a sweltering day help her recharge when stress mounts. Nights often end with a long bath filled with Epsom salts. Looking back on her twenties, she wishes she had trusted her belief in herself earlier: “There’s no better way to change your life and luck than to change the way you’re seeing yourself and what’s possible.”

What’s the common link between exosomes, growth factors, and peptides? They’re at the forefront of regenerative skincare.
By Brianna Peters
In the world of skincare, some of the most buzzworthy ingredients—growth factors, peptides, and exosomes— may also be the most powerful. But what do they actually do for the skin? “Growth factors, peptides, and exosomes all play a role in communication within the skin, but the way they send their messages and the depth of their impact are different,” says dermatologist Dendy Engelman, MD. “The most effective approach is layering or combining them, since they complement one another and amplify results.” Here, Engelman and Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond share what you need to know.
Peptides, which are short chains of amino acids, are the building blocks of proteins that send targeted signals to the skin. They can help strengthen the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, and encourage collagen production. “Peptides are extremely versatile,” says Engelman. “They’re also more stable and accessible, making it easy to incorporate them into a daily U Beauty The SMOOTH Dynamic Wrinkle Defense Serum, $168, ubeauty.com
Growth factors are naturally occurring signaling proteins that tell skin cells to repair, regenerate, and produce collagen and elastin, essentially helping improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, and promote healing. “They can be derived from plant sources, human sources, or made biomimetic to mimic the body’s own,” explains Diamond. But not all growth factors are created equal. “The most effective are those that are bioidentical to what your skin naturally produces,” he says. “Cells recognize and respond to them more effectively.”

Exosomes are tiny messenger vesicles that act like delivery trucks for the skin. “They deliver ‘cargo’ like bioactive proteins, lipids, growth factors, and genetic material to cells,” says Engelman. In skincare, they serve as a powerful tool to encourage cellular repair and regeneration, and they’re now making their way into at-home formulas. “Exosomes are exciting because they’re multitaskers that can deliver multiple signals at once,” says Diamond. “But the main limitation is that we can’t fully prove their stability in topical skincare products yet.”

One sun-drenched afternoon in Manhattan, I lay blissfully on a treatment table as Sophie Carbonari, one of the most in-demand French facialists, worked her magic on me. Her miraculous results don’t come from a lineup of lasers, peels, or devices; they come from her hands—or more importantly, what she does with them. Her signature method is bespoke, combining massage therapies like lymphatic drainage, acupressure, and Japanese Kobido to boost circulation, calm inflammation, and encourage energy flow in the skin. The real treat, however, comes when she gets to the fascia. You’ll know it when you hear it—there’s a distinct cracking sound, not unlike bubble wrap popping, followed by a rush of total tension release. Surprisingly, it’s entirely painless.
“Fascia is the body’s most underappreciated system,” explains Carbonari. “When we nurture fascia, we transcend surface-level beauty treatments and restore systemic balance throughout.” There’s rarely a single culprit behind our facial fascia becoming tight, restricted, and less flexible to begin with; instead, it’s usually an accumulation of things.
French facialist Sophie Carbonari’s method is as unique as it is effective— and it all comes down to the fascia.
By Brianna Peters
“Releasing it is incredibly powerful and can sculpt, lift, and define the face, relieve stress patterns, and allow skincare to penetrate more deeply,” she says.
Each treatment is like a holistic, systemic reset that feels incredible and leaves skin sculpted, depuffed, and luminous—results that have garnered longtime clients like Naomi Campbell and Rihanna. That authentic glow, it turns out, can extend long after a treatment with the right post-care practice. Carbonari preaches a comprehensive approach that includes hydration, nutrient-rich food, gentle movement, restorative sleep, and conscious breathing, as well as three fundamental pillars—touch, temperature, and consistency— to support fascial health and beautiful skin. “Even two minutes of self-massage daily, and

alternating warm and cool applications, can boost results,” she says. “And a streamlined, consistent routine surpasses the effectiveness of endless product layering.” To minimize the latter, she bottled her own unique serum, sheeny gold drops infused with her essential actives—vitamin C, ferulic acid, shiitake mushroom extract, hyaluronic acid, botanical oils, and more—to maintain sculpted, resilient, and radiant skin. While there’s nothing like Méthode Sophie Carbonari, the S Serum (€290, or roughly $337, sophiecarbonari.com) might just hold you over until you can see her next. n

ROSE-TONED GEMSTONES ARE ALL THE RAGE AMONG COLLECTORS AND AT FINE JEWELRY’S A-LIST HOUSES.
By Emili Vesilind

hen it comes to gemstones, fine jewelry houses consider blues and greens the safe bets—the colors jewelry lovers will always be drawn to. But that belief has been slightly challenged this year, as some of the world’s most illustrious jewelry maisons have debuted one-of-a-kind pieces using bold gems in pink and red hues that have captivated collectors.
Why is the jewelry world suddenly thinking pink? The color family has long been associated with love, romance, and affection—things many would agree are in short supply today. The influx of blushing hues also represents a pendulum swing toward the fresh and new.
In addition, “A number of pink diamonds have come to auction and have fetched millions, so I think a general inclination toward pink is in the ether,” notes fine-jewelry expert, journalist, and
author Amy Elliott. The Marie-Thérèse Pink Diamond—a 10.38-carat, fancy purple-pink, kite-shaped diamond named after the French royal—was mounted into a ring by venerable jeweler JAR. It sold for $13.98 million at Christie’s in June, setting new world records both for a fancy purple-pink diamond and a JAR piece.
Sapphires, rubellites, tourmalines, spinels, morganites, and diamonds in shades ranging from the palest pink to the deepest maroon are the stones du jour for high jewelers—often used in concert with colorless diamonds and, yes, classic blue gems (mainly sapphires and aquamarines). Best of all, roseate gemstones may be trending now, but they’re also smart investments, historically holding their value beautifully. Pinky swear.

Long the gold standard of quiet luxury, high-quality cashmere now spans everything from subversive slogans to alpine après and technicolor street energy.
By Paul Jebara
When the temperature drops and cashmere turns into currency, don’t park your budget with the usual Italian surnames and call it a day. Yes, Brunello Cucinelli and Loro Piana still rule the boardroom-to-Gstaad circuit, but the most interesting action is happening elsewhere. Stateside, there’s plenty happening beyond Europe’s old guard. Out West, The Elder Statesman treats cashmere as a canvas for hand-dyed color with art-kid attitude. God’s True Cashmere (Brad Pitt’s label) goes the other way, offering California-luxe button-downs that play it quiet on and off camera. In New York, Lingua Franca keeps the needle sharp with hand-stitched slogans— part wry commentary, part heirloom—while Gigi Hadid’s Guest in Residence turns out funky classics with responsible sourcing and democratic price points.

The metropolis-versus-mountain retail edit tells the rest—and both sides are hunting under-the-radar international labels. In New York’s Nolita, Standard & Strange is the go-to lab for urban picks. “Some of the best cashmere styles we’ve carried come from Olde H. & Daughter, in Japan,” says web manager Elliot Young. The sister line to Olde Homesteader focuses on luxe mid-layers, silk-blend knits, and unisex silhouettes; its slub and “fur” cashmeres look at home in Shinjuku and SoHo alike. The shop also carries Merz b. Schwanen, the German stalwart knit brand founded in 1911, whose cashmere-silk-merino pieces feel archival yet current—equally suited to the subway or a mountain lodge. Meanwhile, ski towns like Aspen have emporiums such as Gorsuch that anchor the alpine side—stocking Italian heavyweights alongside après-ski staples like Bogner and Sease (founded by Giacomo and Franco Loro Piana)— proof that cashmere belongs by the fire pit as much as in a city café.
The common thread? A knit worth owning delivers both softness and a point of view—whether spun in the Dolomites, stitched in an L.A. studio, or engineered in a Japanese mill where every seam is treated like couture. n

CHEF DANI GARCÍA’S NEW RESTAURANT IN LOS ANGELES WELCOMES DINERS INTO HIS EMBLEMATIC HOME OF CASUAL SPANISH CUISINE.
By Jillian Dara

this past summer, Michelin-starred chef Dani García opened Casa Dani in Century City, Los Angeles. Translating to “Dani’s House” in his native Spanish, the opening marked the first in a string of new restaurants from Miami to Mallorca.
conversation, connection, and spending time around a table with others.”
“Each new concept is an opportunity to keep sharing our vision of Spanish cuisine with the world,” says García. At Casa Dani, he invites guests to take a culinary journey through the Mediterranean, while remaining rooted in the flavors of southern Spain.
“I don’t try to replicate Spain; I try to translate it,” he says, describing how he uses the local context, pace of life, and culinary habits of each region as inspiration to create an “honest and contemporary version” of a dish that also reflects who he is. “It’s not about copying a recipe—it’s about delivering an emotion,” he says.
At Casa Dani, this emotion is particularly profound as García says the concept emphasizes a more personal side of his cooking. He describes the experience as “welcoming, authentic, and flavorful” where “meals are about much more than food—they’re about
Sharing is what García describes as “the true rule of Spanish dining,” and the majority of Casa Dani’s menu reflects this; rice dishes play a key role, as does whole fish served with the traditional Basque sauce of olive oil, garlic, and chili peppers known as al pil pil. Perhaps most unexpected for diners unfamiliar with Spanish food is the section dedicated to tuna.
“Tuna is deeply meaningful to us because of its strong ties to Andalusia,” says García about the lineup of toro croquettes, bluefin watermelon salad, Barbate tuna carpaccio, and akami and otoro tartare. “It’s an ingredient that defines a season, a technique, and an entire cultural heritage.”
García designed this portion of the menu—combined with the more familiar Spanish staples like paella, his signature creamy tortilla dish, and Ibérico ham—to reflect his version of laid-back Spanish cuisine. The menu features everyday, unpretentious food that’s made to be enjoyed simply, with comfort and family in mind.

These resorts connect guests to their ocean locale via unique drinking experiences.
By Jillian Dara
When Rosewood Little Dix Bay launched its 10-course treasure map menu, chef Andy Gaskin sought to embody the theme of an interactive exploration of Caribbean flavors, from the plate to the glass. To sate the latter, he submerged a collection of red wines under the Caribbean Sea off Virgin Gorda and discovered this was “the perfect way to connect the ocean setting with the culinary experience.” His sentiment mirrors an ongoing trend in travel; guests want to feel connected to their destination and unique beverage experiences like this realize that in the

most unexpected ways.
Some 4,000 miles away in Bilbao, Spain, The Artist Grand Hotel of Art sought a similar way to connect guests with the natural beauty of their surroundings near the Basque coast. The hotel collaborated with Crusoe Treasure, an enological and environmental project aging wines in the Cantabrian Sea, for three exclusive ways to explore underwater wine—a boat tour of the underwater winery and a pintxos tasting, an underwater cage extraction, or a horizontal tasting to compare the sea- and cave-aged wines.
At Kraken, a floating wine bar in Montenegro,
WINE AGED BENEATH THE SEA HOLDS A SENSE OF MYSTERY, LIKE SUNKEN TREASURE WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED.
diners can dive off the platform into the Bay of Kotor to witness the Balkan varieties aging some 60 feet below. Kraken provides goggles for guests to use in between sipping the wines— white, red, and rosé aged under the sea for a year—which are pulled up from the depths as they are ordered.
Back in the Caribbean, Bolongo Bay Beach Resorts offers guests a fun way to engage with their St. Thomas surroundings: Every week, the resort staff hides various bottles of Caribbean rum in the turquoise bay with a policy of “you find it, you keep it.”

Vineyard-side sound baths and yoga are two ways that travel operators, hotels, and wineries are encouraging more mindful sipping. By Jillian Dara
wine is a profound portal to wellness,” says Elizabeth Sidles, director at Pourtal, a women-led wine and travel company.
“People often think of wellness only in terms of physical health, but in reality, wellness is a much broader combination of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being,” she adds. One of Pourtal’s signature itineraries is a wine-and-wellness journey through Argentina that Sidles specifically designed after a decade of observing a shift within the group trips she led. “The focus of the trip was wine, but the participants were experiencing something more personally transformative,” says Sidles.
Pourtal’s Argentine journey, with sunrise yoga and tarot card readings, is among the increasing number of wine-andwellness experiences emerging around the globe, as travelers seek balance and immersive happenings beyond the typical wine country itinerary. Forty minutes from Barcelona, Alaya Retreat Centre is an eco-hotel and yoga shala surrounded by vineyards and focused on intimate yoga holidays. In Cercal do
Alentejo, Portugal, the luxury Quinta Camarena hosts fiveand seven-day programs as part of its Not So Serious Yoga Retreat, fusing self-care with enjoyment.
Wineries are also taking note. In Saussignac, France, Château Feely leads weekly yoga as part of its two-hour mindful wine tasting in the Dordogne. Stateside, Napa’s Eleven Eleven Winery hosts regular sound baths to encourage a state of deep meditation prior to a traditional wine tasting.
“It’s all about balance,” says Emily Ely, marketing director at Wölffer Estate Vineyard. The popular Hamptons winery features seasonal yoga in the vines, as well as pop-up sound bath sessions using crystal singing bowls to offer visitors more balanced wine offerings. “Many people are seeking ways to live a healthier lifestyle,” says Sidles, noting, however, that people still enjoy drinking wine. “They are searching for experiences that serve both great wine in moderation and in a wellness setting.”
“The focus of the trip was wine, but the participants were experiencing something more personally transformative.”

Dromoland Castle’s head mixologist, Alex Beyou, showcases an exciting approach at the iconic Irish estate.
By Jake Emen
Visitors to Dromoland Castle in County Clare, Ireland, get to live out their wildest fantasies, enjoying supremely ornate, gilded accommodations within the historic, fortified structure, alongside classic activities such as clay pigeon shooting, falconry, and archery. Now, the experience is elevated with inventive, worldclass craft cocktails.
“When guests first arrive at Dromoland, they expect grandeur,” says head mixologist Alex Beyou. “What they don’t expect to find is an imaginative cocktail menu that tells stories as vividly as the castle itself.”
While it’s hard to go wrong with a glass of rare Irish whiskey from an extensive 31-page menu, Beyou set out to make Dromoland’s cocktail program an unforgettable part of the castle experience. “For me, that’s the magic,” he says. “Taking a setting steeped in

tradition and showing guests something entirely new—something that surprises them and stays with them.”
For the Tears of King Lir, for instance, seaweed gin evokes the ocean—with salty, saline notes tasting perhaps just a touch like tears—in a libation served in a seashell glass. “It’s a story you can taste. The goal is for guests to not just enjoy a cocktail, but to feel transported into the mythology itself, and to experience the castle’s history in a way that is alive, sensory, and deeply personal.”
Immersive storytelling, vibrant presentations, and fanciful glassware make each drink feel more like a scene in a play than a mere refreshment. “I want every cocktail to feel like its own show, where the stage is the glass, and the performance is flavor, aroma, and imagination combined,” Beyou says.
To do so, he developed an elaborate menu with drinks based on the castle’s fables and folklore. “I’ll ask myself: If this story were a flavor, a color, or a texture, what would it be?” Beyou says of his creative process.
Visitors can take some of his incredible creations home in the form of whimsically illustrated cocktail books. There have been two volumes released: Tarot Series and Tuatha Dé Danann and Other Celtic Deities.

As North America’s 50 Best Restaurants took over Wynn Las Vegas, we asked top chefs for their takes on what’s exciting them in the year ahead.
cHere’s what some of the top chefs at the event had to share…
Susan Bae of Moon Rabbit in Washington D.C.—who uses unconventional flavors in her desserts, such as corn, tomato, curry, and even seaweed—was named North America’s Best Pastry Chef. As for the future, the team is continuing to explore its Vietnamese heritage and family cooking style. “What’s really exciting for us is seeing what’s in season and how we can incorporate it into our cuisine,” says Moon Rabbit chef Kevin Tien.
Tim Flores and Genie Kwon of Kasama in Chicago (#31 on the 50 Best list) have a bakery and coffee shop by day and flip to a fine-dining restaurant at night. They cited ube as a new trend in desserts, as well as the use of sweet purple potatoes.
William Drew, who has recently been inspired by the food scenes in Los Angeles and Austin, noted a shift in restaurants, not only toward environmental sustainability but also toward “human sustainability,” with more career longevity and employee benefits, which he believes will help make working conditions better in the future.
By Carole Dixon
hefs, restaurateurs, and gourmands from the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean gathered in September 2025 at Wynn Las Vegas to celebrate the inaugural North America’s 50 Best Restaurants event, sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. Created by the UKbased William Reed media group, the awards honor global excellence across the industry, while spotlighting compelling voices, histories, and cultural influences that have shaped the region’s culinary identity.
After a cocktail reception with Kaviari Paris, Tequila Ocho, and tzatziki martinis by Bar Benjamin of Los Angeles, the high-energy awards ceremony and countdown were kicked off by William Drew, director of content for North America’s 50 Best Restaurants, in the Encore Theater. Top winners included Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon, chef-owner of Kalaya in Philadelphia for North America’s Best Female Chef; the Best Sommelier Award went to Vanya Filipovic of Mon Lapin in Montreal; and, for the grand finale, Atomix in New York City was named the Best Restaurant in North America for 2025.
“Food is the last hope of bringing people together,” says Serigne Mbaye, who, along with partner Effie Richardson, is championing the tasting menu at Dakar in New Orleans, winner of Best Restaurant in South USA. “We love what we do, so there’s so much joy, but with all these accolades, it makes us think—how can we continue to make the experience even better and more memorable, especially for someone who wants to come again for a special occasion?” adds Richardson.
Jody Williams and Rita Sodi of Via Carota in New York (#18 on the 50 Best list) are celebrating independently owned neighborhood restaurants with varied experiences and are inspired by exploring the past, mostly in Italy and New York. “I love to go to the public library and do our research— to see what was going on—all the history,” says Williams. n

FROM GLASS-CUBE TOWERS TO SURF-ANCHORED ENCLAVES, THESE NEW ARCHITECTURALLY BRANDED RESIDENCES BLEND HIGH STYLE, CURATED SERVICES, AND RESORT-STYLE LIVING. By Paul Jebara

Luxury buyers are now collecting branded addresses the way others collect vintage wine: valued for scarcity, design pedigree, and the label on the bottle. Once a novelty, architect-branded residences have become de rigueur, turning the second-home market into a ready-made engine for status and design credibility.

Florida sets the pace. In Naples, the storied Beach Hotel & Golf Club—a 1946 fixture from the Watkins family—has been refitted under the Four Seasons flag. Hart Howerton and ODP Architecture stretched a 125-acre master plan that plays coastal tradition straight, while Champalimaud Design stripped the interiors of resort clichés in favor of quiet Floridian vernacular. The refreshed 216-room resort incorporates beachfront penthouses, golfside homes, and a Sanctuary Spa. Chef Gavin Kaysen makes his Florida debut, and Tom Fazio is redesigning the golf course for a 2026 reopening. Further up the coast, Viceroy has planted its first Gulf-front outpost in Clearwater Beach. The property’s 86 condominiums, priced from $2.5 to $12 million, feature broad terraces and private beach frontage for enjoying horizon views. Miami, never one to underplay, is making its case in steel and glass. The Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences will climb 1,049 feet into the skyline by 2028, staking its claim as the tallest residential tower south of Manhattan. Architects Carlos Ott and Sieger Suarez have stacked nine glass cubes like a sculpture built for a drone shot. Inside, 387 residences (already 90 percent sold) and 205 hotel suites are supported by a record $668 million construction loan. It’s peak Miami, backed by international capital, starchitect swagger, and amenities worthy of a private island resort.
Cabo has become the anchor of Mexico’s branded surge. Meriwether Companies and the Sanchez Navarro family are leading with Cabo Real Surf Club, built around North America’s first Endless Surf wave basin and fronted by Sordo Madaleno–designed villas whose architecture unfolds organically from the surrounding desert landscape. Estrategia Urbana continues to expand the roster in Baja California
with The Wavve and Naos. The Wavve—300 units split across two towers, designed by Taller G Arquitectos with interiors from Kalinka Mikel—embraces clean coastal minimalism with terraces and gardens; the project will roll out in phases through 2028. Naos adds 280 residences with Pacific and mountain views, modern finishes, and gated security. Entry pricing in the mid-$200,000s offers a rare on-ramp to a market otherwise dominated by seven-figure asks.
In the ritzy neighborhood of Polanco in Mexico City, the Park Hyatt will crown its two-tower complex with 23 branded residences, offering Chapultepec views as a stellar calling card. In Cancún, the Ritz-Carlton is staging a comeback at Punta Nizuc with a LEED-certified resort and 126 residences by Lissoni & Partners and Cherem Arquitectos, designed for buyers seeking sustainability credentials alongside marble finishes.
On Barbuda, Robert De Niro, Daniel Shamoon, and James Packer are backing the Nobu Beach Inn, a 400-acre project opening in 2026. It offers seclusion and brand cachet, with just 36 rooms and 25 villas starting at $12 million. Barbados answers with Pendry Residences, comprising 46 villas and a handful of penthouses wrapped around a 111-berth marina, aimed at buyers drawn by the country’s sailing tradition and prestigious regattas.
In Telluride, Olson Kundig’s Four Seasons integrates oxygen systems into its ski-in/ski-out residences, where prices range from $4 million to $40 million, for altitude safety along with a mountain address. Park City follows with Cormont at Deer Valley, a 350-unit development that promises concierge services and ski-side convenience by 2027. And just 90 minutes from Manhattan, the One&Only Hudson Valley continues the brand’s U.S. expansion with 54 homes by Gensler, starting at $4 million, alongside a 63-key resort set to open in 2028.

For its East Coast debut, A Sense of Home teams with Los Angeles designer Lucie Ayres to turn transitional housing into lasting stability—one fully furnished space at a time.
By Paul Jebara
When Lucie Ayres stages a room, the work is seldom about paint chips or throw pillows in isolation. It’s about dreaming up a space that functions, flows, and feels whole from the moment you step inside. That philosophy is now shaping her latest project—one that has less to do with client portfolios and more to do with reimagining someone’s starting point in life.
Ayres, founder and principal of the award-winning 22 Interiors (22interiors.com), joined the host committee for A Sense of Home’s East Coast launch in Amagansett in August 2025. The Los Angeles–based nonprofit furnishes apartments for young adults aging out of foster care—1,200 and counting. Each installation is completed in a single day, using more than 300 intentionally sourced items, resulting in a functional, tailored space that supports the way people actually live, eat, read, and rest.
The New York debut replicates that model, with Ayres lending her firm’s muscle for design and sourcing. For her, the collaboration reflects a long-standing belief that good design offers more than aesthetic enrichment—it can serve as infrastructure. “When someone walks into a complete, livable home on day one, they start from stability,” she says. “That stability can be the difference between keeping a job or losing it, between continuing school or dropping out.”
Ayres is designing the welcome lounge and leveraging her vendor network to source key products. More than $100,000 in furnishings from brands like Made Goods and House of Hackney have shaped not only the event space but also ASOH’s first New York homes. The result is unapologetically pragmatic: cohesive, functional homes built with the same attention to scale, texture, and light that Ayres brings to her private clients. “Doing good feels good,” she says, “and it can be a lot of fun.” For more information on how you can get involved, visit asenseofhome.org.

Take a break from skiing and explore these stunning galleries.
By Carole Dixon
Not much of a skier? Is the wait too long at Sant Ambroeus or Kemo Sabe? With dozens of art galleries in just a few short blocks, Aspen is not just for hitting the slopes, enjoying a great aprèsski scene, or shopping for a Stetson, but for scoring an original piece of art.
The Aspen Art Fair at historic Hotel Jerome is already gearing up for its third season next summer as part of Aspen Art Week. The second edition (which took place this past summer) drew over 4,000 galleries, curators, and collectors from across the globe. “This year’s growth reflects the art world’s increasing recognition of Aspen as a serious collecting and cultural destination,” says Becca Hoffman, co-founder and director of the Aspen Art Fair.
Aspen’s love affair with art has been building for decades. “This town deserves an art fair that is world-class and a ground zero for artists and buyers; it’s a good catalyst that gives back to the community,” says
Bob Chase, owner of Hexton Gallery and co-founder of the Aspen Art Fair.
Hexton Gallery is hosting a series of figurative works spanning from Andy Warhol to painter and sculptor Eric Fischl, along with younger artists who have spent time in Aspen—highlighting the ways their work intersects. According to Chase, Warhol spent a lot of time in the 1970s to early ’80s walking around town with a 35mm camera, capturing the scene.
Among other returning Aspen galleries at the fair were Galerie Maximillian (print works on paper) and Casterline Goodman (contemporary art). “While the Aspen Art Fair is an international fair, supporting local galleries and dealers is vital,” adds Hoffman. This year, Marianne Boesky, who has been active in Aspen for many years, exhibited for the first time, as did Skye Gallery, whose artist James Surls was awarded the fair’s Buckhorn Public Arts Award.
If you want to plot your own gallery
crawl, stick to the core streets of Cooper, Mill, Hopkins, and Hyman, where you can roam in and out of prominent galleries. These include internationally recognized Baldwin Gallery, where past shows have included Robert Mapplethorpe and Mickalene Thomas; Raven Gallery with fine glass art from around the world; and the two-story Eden Gallery, featuring modern art and pop-culture works. Opened in 2024, Wynn Fine Art holds museum-quality works by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Roy Lichtenstein (from the Steve Wynn collection) along with Ansel Adams, Keith Haring, and Damien Hirst.
For the finale, visit the Aspen Art Museum enshrouded in a woven-wooden facade designed by architect Shigeru Ban. Take the glass elevators up to the roof for a coffee break and views of the mountains framing the town below—or walk a bit farther to the Aspen Institute, on the Aspen Meadows campus, for the three-dimensional art of Herbert Bayer.

The Agency Art House transforms luxury listings with curated art.
By Meghan Thibault

helmed by art dealer and advisor Arushi Kapoor, The Agency
Art House has set a new standard in luxury real estate with its recently launched residential art staging service, which made its debut in August at a Hollywood Hills open house.
“For me, art staging is about creating a feeling the moment someone enters the home. It’s about weaving beauty, storytelling, and connection into a home so that buyers don’t just see the space, they imagine themselves living in it,” shares Kapoor.
Each property is treated as a curated gallery that showcases high-quality artworks from established international artists. Kapoor’s innovative approach creates an immersive experience akin to a pop-up gallery exhibit, elevating each property’s unique aesthetic and appeal.
The Agency Art House delivers a remarkably cost-effective alternative to traditional art staging by working directly with galleries and artists on a consignment basis. Kapoor’s team provides exceptional curation and installation expertise alongside gallery-quality artworks at 30 to 40 percent less
than existing options. They’re able to do so by eliminating the costs of acquisition and storage of lesser-quality artworks typically offered by competitors.
The service extends marketing reach when collaborating artists and galleries showcase staged properties through their networks, exposing listings to affluent art collectors and enthusiasts who might not otherwise discover the property. This unique approach also enhances the agent’s value-added service offering.
Beyond property staging, Kapoor’s team provides comprehensive art services including selling clients’ existing collections, curating pieces for new residences, and developing long-term art investment portfolios. The Agency Art House also works collaboratively with interior designers and traditional furniture staging companies.
Currently available in Southern California, The Agency Art House will soon expand its services to Aspen, New York, Miami, Seattle, and Northern California. To learn more, visit theagencyarthouse.com/staging n

EVRETROFITS ARE THE NEXT WAVE OF CHIC, STYLISH AUTOS TO COVET.
by Basem Wasef

THE LATEST AND GREATEST battery-powered spaceships from postmodern manufacturers tick all sorts of practical boxes like lightning speed, quick charging, and smooth, quiet operation. But those hoping to break out of the ubiquitous Tesla paradigm will find refreshing alternatives in the burgeoning field of classic EV retrofits—also known as electromods.
Unlike the considerable carbon footprint required to build a new vehicle, electrifying an already-built (and likely languishing) classic is a far more ecologically sound proposition. It also preserves the classic shapes and silhouettes that have formed the bedrock of modern design—singular style statements that simply can’t be reproduced with today’s safety standards and government regulations. And, in the unlikely event that wistful nostalgia for the polluting past strikes, most EV conversions are reversible.
The Porsche 911 is among the most archetypal sports cars, and Connecticut-based Sacrilege Motors channels the most evocative aspects of the internal-combustion model while adhering to the reductionist principles that make the 911 so compelling to drive—lightweight construction, a minimalist interior, and a virtually

unchanged Bauhaus aesthetic. Though sophisticated suspension hardware lurks beneath Sacrilege’s carbon fiber skin, the truly controversial bits are the EV motors, which earned the carmaker its reputation among diehards who consider a non-internal-combustion 911 blasphemous.
Electrogenic, based in Oxford, UK, has made waves with one-offs like the 1920s Rolls-Royce Phantom it electrified for Jason Momoa and the recently unveiled 1960s Aston Martin DB6 EV built for comedian Jimmy Carr. However, the company’s most inarguably British execution yet is its battery-powered Land Rover Defender conversion, which can be purchased as a turnkey model or as a kit to be fitted at an authorized service facility. The electrified Defender suits both halves of the boxy truck’s personality—as a chic, eco-friendly boulevard cruiser and an off-road-capable country truck that can handle virtually anything that comes its way.
Another UK-based mover and shaker in the EV restomod scene is Everrati, which hails from Oxfordshire and has restored iconic models—including the “Pagoda”-generation Mercedes-Benz SL, the Ford GT40, and the Land Rover Series IIA—into quieter, more elegantly appointed electric versions of their former CO2-producing selves. Like Sacrilege Motors, Everrati is striking upon the target-rich Porsche fan base by expanding its 911-based offerings. As one of the more established electromod firms, Everrati deserves props for the consistency of its high-quality builds.
Finally, Icon, in Chatsworth, Calif., elevates its custom EV offerings with the BR EV, an electrified classic Ford Bronco that leverages the benefits of the big truck’s spacious platform. Powered by a large 105 kWh battery that enables over 500 horsepower, the Bronco’s all-wheel-drive hardware can propel it up to 200 miles before requiring a recharge. Icon’s original selling point of impeccable handcraftsmanship and top-quality materials also remains, making its electrified model just as—if not more—desirable than its fuel-burning predecessors.

Hedley Studios plunged into the scaled-model EV niche after Bugatti commissioned Ben Hedley to build a three-quarterscale version of the brand’s iconic 1920s Type 35 race car. The idea was hardly scandalous—in days of yore, Bugatti traditionally built “baby” iterations of its full-size racers, inspired by Ettore Bugatti’s Lilliputian rendition of a Type 35 for his then-4-year-old son. Hedley’s latest miniaturization is its first-ever road-legal Bentley Blower Jnr, which steps up the scale to 85 percent and is classified as a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) in the United States. While its exquisitely finished metal bits recall the supercharged model that became synonymous with the Roaring ’20s and the glamorous Bentley Boys, its 45 mph top speed makes it a viable local alternative to more workaday alternatives. hedleystudios.com n
FIVE ACCLAIMED CITIES AND FIVE TOP HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, AND BARS IN EACH.
Overloaded with information? We’ve narrowed everything down for you. When it comes to the most exciting and exquisite hotels, bars, and restaurants in Hong Kong, New York City, Mexico City, Paris, and Madrid, we have your quick-hit guide to some of the world’s most happening spots.

HONG KONG HAS AN UNMISTAKABLE ENERGY, AND ITS CLAMOROUS STREETS AND ALLEYS ARE VERY MUCH PART OF ITS APPEAL. ALL THE BETTER WHEN BLENDED WITH A TOUCH OF SERENE ELEGANCE FROM ITS MANY WORLD-CLASS HOTELS AND FINE-DINING RESTAURANTS. THE DIM SUM, NO DOUBT, IS ESSENTIAL.
PENINSULA HONG KONG: Book your stay at the impeccable 1928 Hong Kong icon and arrive in style from the airport in one of more than a dozen Rolls-Royce Phantoms or Bentley Bentaygas— each in Peninsula Green, of course. Don’t miss a meal at Spring Moon, known for its legendary, Michelin-starred dim sum. When it’s time to depart, reserve a helicopter and exit through the 30thfloor China Clipper lounge, enjoying a scenic trip over the harbor.
BAR LEONE: Lorenzo Antinori’s Bar Leone oozes hospitality, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they step inside. It’s no surprise that it has skyrocketed up every reputable list of the world’s best bars. Italian-centric cocktails play on the classics and are creative yet approachable, but the “if you know, you know” move? Ordering the focaccia mortadella sandwich.
HO LEE FOOK: This contemporary dim sum restaurant blends Cantonese traditions with forward-looking culinary adaptations. That’s largely thanks to the talents of Hong Kong–born head chef ArChan Chan, who offers her own fresh spin rooted in well-honed technique.
PENICILLIN: Following up on the success of an acclaimed bar such as The Old Man is no easy task. For Agung Prabowo, he decided to go big by emphasizing sustainability down to its nitty-gritty foundation via an intensive fermentation program, utilizing discarded ingredients from local restaurants and redistilling spirits into house originals.
NEW TWISTS ARE COMING TO URBAN HUBS AROUND
THE
WORLD. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE EVOLUTION.
DUDDELL’S: This is a Hong Kong institution. Led by chef Chan Yau-Leung and with a prime Central location, the renowned favorite offers refined Cantonese fare and a classic weekend dim sum brunch. It’s a can’t-miss that also happens to highlight art exhibitions in addition to its cuisine. —Jake Emen
THIS CITY NEEDS LITTLE INTRODUCTION. AS A GLOBAL CAPITAL OF CULTURE, DESIGN, AND GASTRONOMY, IT OFFERS HIGH-END EXPERIENCES THAT EVOLVE AT SUCH A DIZZYING PACE, EVEN LOCALS NEVER TIRE OF WHAT’S NEXT. FROM LEGENDARY HOTELS TO BUZZWORTHY NEW RESTAURANTS, THESE ARE THE LATEST AND GREATEST TO PUT ON YOUR LIST.
MANDARIN ORIENTAL, NEW YORK:
Perched high above Columbus Circle with breathtaking views of Central Park and the Hudson River, the Mandarin Oriental offers an elegant sanctuary in the heart of Manhattan. Guests can retreat to one of 244 refined rooms and suites, enjoy inventive cocktails at The Bar—a newly reimagined speakeasy inspired by the Silk Road and featuring signatures like the pandan- and coconut-infused Siam Sunset—and savor seasonal dishes at MO Lounge, where weekly menus highlight peak ingredients from local purveyors.
CHATEAU ROYALE: From the team behind Libertine comes this glamorous two-story French restaurant and cocktail bar in Greenwich Village. Set in a restored carriage house, Chateau Royale channels the grandeur of New York’s golden dining era, offering a cinematic space, timeless French classics, and an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and new.
THE DYNAMO ROOM: From Sunday Hospitality (the group behind Café Chelsea, Sunday in Brooklyn, and Rule of Thirds) comes this Midtown steak house and grill that’s already turning heads. Elevated yet
playful, The Dynamo Room reimagines the great American steak house for a new era of downtown-meets-Midtown dining.
HOTEL CHELSEA: A cultural landmark reinvented and now part of Leading Hotels of the World, Hotel Chelsea continues to evolve with new offerings for guests and locals alike. Its latest addition, Teruko, is a subterranean sushi restaurant showcasing refined Japanese staples in an intimate setting. Upstairs, the hotel’s spa has launched an innovative artist-in-residency program, debuting with renowned esthetician Athena Hewett, founder of botanical skincare brand Monastery. Guests can book her exclusive Founder’s Facial, a sensorial treatment blending ritual, advanced technique, and natural formulations for a one-of-a-kind wellness experience.
KOJU: Tucked inside the Ace Hotel Brooklyn, Koju is a modern omakase destination from LDV Hospitality. This intimate counter experience blends tradition and innovation, highlighting pristine seasonal ingredients through artful courses that evolve with the chef’s creative vision.

STILL HAVEN’T GIVEN IN AND FOLLOWED THE ADVICE OF EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS BY HEADING TO MEXICO CITY? WHETHER IT’S YOUR FIRST TIME OR YOUR FIFTH, THERE’S NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME TO EXPLORE THE COUNTRY’S CAPITAL, AND THIS LIST WILL ENSURE YOU’RE THE ONE MAKING YOUR FRIENDS ENVIOUS.

TLECĀN: Mexico City’s cocktail bar scene is one of the busiest and most vibrant in the world. One absolute must is Tlecān, which explores the culture and history of Mexico through its spirits, culinary ingredients, and unmistakable decor.
MASALA Y MAÍZ: Contrary to popular belief, some of Mexico’s most well-known dishes are actually culinary blends. Al Pastor, for instance, is influenced by Lebanese shawarma. At the Michelin-starred Masala y Maíz, this cross-pollination is celebrated, with a particular focus on Indian and East African flavors alongside Mexican ingredients.
SALÓN DE AGAVE: Continue your spirituous adventures with an educational stop at Salón de Agave. Partake in a bespoke, small-group tasting of rare agave spirits with an enriching discussion along the way. The spirits selection and the hospitality are both unmatched, and booking in advance is required.
TACO CRAWL: Skipping the street food in Mexico City is doing yourself a disservice—and with hundreds of options, listing just one would be a fallacy. A few highlights include El Huequito, Tacos El Gato Volador, Tacos de Carnitas El Weno, and Jenni’s Quesadillas.
LA VALISE: This member of Small Luxury Hotels will have you feeling like you’re a true local—one with impeccable style and taste. The boutique hotel has just eight rooms in a converted 1920s townhouse and is located in the heart of the charming Roma Norte neighborhood. Book the room with a bed that slides out onto the balcony for an evening under the stars, if you dare.

THE CITY OF LIGHT IS SHINING BRIGHTER THAN EVER, THANKS TO A POST-OLYMPICS GLOW. HOTELS, RESTAURANTS, AND BARS ARE BUZZING WITH ENERGY, AS TRENDY NEW OPENINGS AND DYNAMIC RENOVATIONS OF FAVORED SPOTS MAKE IT A TRÈS CHIC TIME FOR A RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS.
BAR LES AMBASSADEURS: A stay at Rosewood’s Hôtel de Crillon— a private mansion built in 1758 and turned into a luxury hotel in 1909—is nothing short of divine. But should you only be there to experience its iconic Bar Les Ambassadeurs, expect the property to still leave an impression on you. Hand-painted ceilings, rococo details, plush seating, live music, and contemporary cocktails make it the chicest hangout in the city.
SUSHI PARK AT SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE: There are but two Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in the world—one on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and one on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. And it is there, at the French house’s edgy Parisian outpost, that Saint Laurent’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, chose to lure the acclaimed Los Angeles restaurant Sushi Park. Located beneath the flagship, the omakase experience is available to a limited number of guests for lunch and dinner in a wood-infused setting with minimal Japanese-inspired decor.

HÔTEL PLAZA ATHÉNÉE: Whether you’re in Paris for the shopping, the food, or the scenery, a stay at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée puts it all within reach. Step outside and you’re in the heart of retail paradise, surrounded by shops like Celine, Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, and nearly every other major label. Inside the hotel, don’t miss dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant from chef Jean Imbert before you rest in a newly restored Art Deco or classical Parisian suite.
BARONNE: Housed within the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, this new restaurant boasts a stunning bar and lounge, expansive dining room, and outdoor patio. Expect lavish decor (tapestry-covered walls, velvet barstools, crown moldings leafed in gold) that makes the contemporary French menu—escargot, green beans with truffle vinaigrette, wagyu steak, lemon tart—all the more enjoyable.
CHEVAL BLANC PARIS: With three Michelin-starred restaurants, an expansive rooftop dining terrace with multiple bars and views of the Pont Neuf, a subterranean Dior spa with swimming pool meant to feel like you’re swimming in the Seine, and rooms designed by Peter Marino—there’s much to love about a stay at LVMH’s Cheval Blanc Paris. —Bruce Wallin

FOUR SEASONS HOTEL MADRID
IT SEEMS AS IF MADRID IS DESTINED TO GET ONLY A FRACTION OF THE ATTENTION THAT COASTAL BARCELONA DOES. ALL THE BETTER FOR YOU BECAUSE LIFE AS A MADRILEÑO IS SECOND TO NONE, AND THE VIBRANT SPANISH CAPITAL WINS OVER EVEN THE TOUGHEST OF CRITICS.

FOUR SEASONS HOTEL MADRID
MERCADO DE SAN MIGUEL

LA VENENCIA: This bar is the opposite of formal or fancy—a quality baked into its concept since it opened in 1922, once serving as a Republican haunt during the Spanish Civil War. But it’s perfect. Choose from half a dozen sherry wines filled straight from the cask, matched with a simple plate of cheese and jamón. Repeat two to three times on your doctor’s strictest orders.
MERCADO DE SAN MIGUEL: First built in 1916 on the site of an open market that stood for many centuries, Mercado de San Miguel has been transformed into a modern culinary landmark. It reopened in 2009 as a gourmet food hall with excellent eats. Grab a glass of vermouth to walk around with as you sample offerings from dozens of vendors.
FOUR SEASONS HOTEL MADRID: A seven-year renovation transformed a collection of seven historic buildings into the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. Since debuting in 2020, the hotel has become a hub for locals, prized for its exquisite art and architecture, the attached Galería Canalejas shopping corridor, and stylish dining and drinking venues.
BIBO MADRID: Marbella-born chef Dani García has risen to become one of Spain’s leading culinary voices. Andalusian flavors are at the heart of BiBo’s offerings, with an emphasis on all things from the sea, and, of course, plenty of mix-and-match tapas.
DIVERXO: Dabiz Muñoz’s DiverXO is the most in-demand dinner in town. Now carrying three Michelin stars but steadfastly maintaining a playful personality that belies its cutting-edge cookery, it’s a one-of-one meal you’ll talk about for years. —Jake Emen n

“Colorful

friends.”
“A
day at the beach in Miami with all my good friends and family—and this pink Versace shirt from the new Spring/Summer ’26 collection to ring in the New Year. Just a little something to help blend in. It is Miami, after all.”
—CHRISTOPHER CAMPBELL, stylist and fashion editor

—LUCIE AYRES, founder and principal designer, 22 Interiors

“I’m looking forward to some real quality family time with my daughters. Hopefully a ski trip to the mountains and a few days on a boat in the Caribbean, visiting some of our offices in Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas along the way. And if I can sneak in a little time for myself, I’d love to get away for some heli-skiing in Iceland.”
—MAURICIO UMANSKY, founder and CEO, The Agency
“For me, Christmas is all about indulging in my favorite seasonal flavors, like bûche de
Noël. I’m looking forward to sitting by a cozy fireplace with my family and friends.”
—ALEX BEYOU, head mixologist, Dromoland Castle

“If I could wish for more time, I would! When it comes to material things, I dream of things for my projects: a row of aged-metal Poulsen PH5 lights to run down a long hall in the Callisto barn, ceramics from Alex Meltzer, knobs and door handles by Bankston Architectural, and an ATV—ideally camo.”
—AMALIA GRAZIANI, designer
and real estate developer, and owner of Callisto Farm
