The Strength Of The Believer
A while back, as I was reading the scriptures and meditating in God’s word, I heard the Lord speak into my spirit about the strength of the believer as He led me through the first chapter of Jeremiah. At that time, I marveled with excitement at what was being revealed to me, and today, I hold it close to my heart as a solid truth for my own life, and for your life as well as a part of the Body of Christ.
Let us take a look at Jeremiah 1:18 and see what is going on there. "For, behold, I have made thee (the believer) this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
God compared Jeremiah (the believer) to: a defenced city, an iron pillar and brasen walls. WOW!! Such Strength!! I have thought to myself; if only we could grasp how God sees us, it would change our whole perspective on life in so many ways. Lord, do not ever let us be satisfied with anything less than what Your Word says about us!!
