As the curtains fall on Syncytium, our beloved cultural and sports festival, I am filled with a mix of pride and nostalgia. The vibrant energy and fierce competition that defined Syncytium this year were nothing short of breathtaking From electrifying sports showdowns to stirring literary battles, captivating cultural performances to engaging online events , Syncytium witnessed an unprecedented surge in participation, with a historic registration count of 800 eager participants
Breaking records seemed to be the theme of the festival, with 80 participants in the cultural events and an astounding 176 athletes leaving their mark in the sports arena. An unforgettable fusion of laughter and music echoed through Syncytium, as Samay Raina's uproarious stand-up comedy and MH 43 band's electrifying performance enchanted the audience, leaving an indelible imprint of joy and rhythm.
As the head of the Literary Committee, I am humbled by the brilliance that illuminated the open mic event and the fierce intellectual battles waged in the debating arena None of this would have been possible without the relentless dedication of my committee members and coordinators, Behram and Atmaja, whose tireless efforts ensured smooth execution at every turn
As I bid farewell, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the editor of The Auracle I hope that our coverage of Escalades and Syncytium brought you as much joy and excitement as it did to us. Adios Amigos, until we meet again, and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey
REFLECTING ON MY JOURNEY THROUGH SYNCYTIUM 2024: A TESTAMENT TO GROWTH AND GRATITUDE
Syncytium 2024 was not just an event; it was a transformative journey that shaped me in profound ways As the Assistant General Secretary of SKNMC, navigating through the highs and lows of this rollercoaster ride was both an honor and a challenge
Guided by the wisdom and support of our Director, Dr. A. V. Bhore Sir, and our visionary Dean and Organizing Chairperson, Dr. Krishnakant B. Patil Sir, we turned potential chaos into a seamlessly executed event. Their leadership and encouragement were instrumental in overcoming every obstacle we faced.
But the true essence of Syncytium 2024 lies in the connections made and memories created with my batchmates , colleagues and juniors. Together, we weathered storms and celebrated triumphs, forging bonds that will endure beyond our college days.
The dedication of every member of the college staff, from the security team to the housekeeping staff, ensured the smooth functioning of the event. Their tireless efforts were the backbone of our success, and I am immensely grateful for their contributions.
As I move forward, I carry with me the enduring values instilled in me during Syncytium 2024. This journey will forever hold a special place in my heart, a testament to the transformative power of perseverance, collaboration, and gratitude.

Hello you said and brought me into the world, I cried and uttered no word; You smiled and hugged me tight, and I felt the warmth, Out of your chest and filled within my girth;
We gossiped for hours without any talk, “My girl”, you said, “I have your back”; You grew me up into this girl that now speak,
Meant nothing to world, but you awed me at peak;
I walked through the corridors, streets, cities and nation,
To become the person I am today in a real patience;
Life looks easier behind and harder ahead, But no worries! I already have your guidance book referred; I have so many questions to find answers to,
So many destinations to reach to; I have so many choices to make, So many locks to break;
And you are scared as the clock is ticking fast,
But mum! Sigh out loud, I remember our unspoken promise from the past.
THE UNSUNG HEROES: REGISTRATION COMMITTEE
College events are dynamic gatherings While attendees enjoy the festivities, there's a group working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs like clockwork: the Registration Committee Led by our very own Ms Zaynab Ahmed and Ms Prerna Taralkar, alongside their coordinators Mr Ajay Jaybhay and Ms Ishita Paigankar, this dedicated team plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of events, from start to finish
We went to the Bunker and got hold of the committee people, because that is where they have set their temporary residence since a while now
The Organizing Committee acknowledges that the registration process is the gateway to the event experience It's the attendees' first point of contact, shaping their initial impressions From managing queries to directing the participants, their flawless execution ensures a smooth experience for the participants
The Reg folks also handle the financial aspects of the event with utmost transparency and accountability
In essence, the Registration Committee serves as the backbone of college events, working tirelessly to create memorable and inclusive experiences for all Their dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence set the tone for the entire event, leaving a lasting impression on attendees
Dealing with so much patience and maintaining a consistent optimistic attitude deserves a special mention! Special shoutout to Zaynab who survived on bare minimum hours of sleep, kept herself and her committee members together throughout the tumultuous phase Special thanks to Prerna and Ajay who were a rock support throughout I, on behalf of all the SKNites, express our gratitude to all the committee members!
Shock and awe Two powerful emotions everyone has felt at some point in their lives
The greatest art critics say the criteria that defines art is the measure of the depth of emotion which it evokes in ones mind In such a regard, 1984 is monument to its media, elevating itself from novel to a timeless piece of art.
Written in 1949 writer George orwell predicts the worlds political and social environment not only for the year 1984 but for the next 70 years
Banned in the US as an anti socialist book, banned in china as anti communist propaganda, you may question how does a single novel preach such opposing ideologies?
The answer is- it doesn’t. it simply holds a mirror up to the masses and allows themselves to judge the society they exist in George orwell through his protagonist weaves a web of triumph over an oppressive system To show the importance of freedom of speech and mind, original thought and most importantly the necessity to ask the question- Why? And therein lies the catch of this novel which dares to question- what if the freedom to ask that integral question isn’t allowed? What if that right is deliberately occluded, Sequestered and hidden behind the promise of safety? All packaged as care and concern behind the tall and comforting figure of your kindly ‘BIG BROTHER’
The tapestry that’s woven makes you see the world with new eyes, a shift in perspective so sudden but powerful that it can only be described as life changing
So go ahead, gentle reader See for yourself how a book written by a man from another century, became an unprompted prophet accurate to even this day and age Wind back your watch to 1984, and get ready to see the world as you never have before.
