MANAGER’S MESSAGE

Spring is here! A great time for puppies to play outside! We are continuing the work on the two New Dog Parks!! Once the parks are open we will plan a “Puppy Parade” to show off all of your loving friends! Please check the Calendar for Events. We are continuing to work and upgrade the community to our full potential and appreciate each of you who are contributing to that mission! We are continuing the Community Wide Clean up. Please take these notices seriously. Let’s all take part in our way of contributing to making the community even more beautiful! We appreciate your cooperation as we are preparing empty lots to bring in more beautiful new homes and new neighbors! Happy Mother’s Day to those wonderful Mom’s and Happy Memorial Day to all of our Veterans who may be gone, but certainly not forgotten.

COMMUNITY REMINDERS

PETS

Another friendly reminder to please clean up after your pets, there are waste receptacles conveniently located around the neighborhood for your use. Also, please be respectful of your neighbors and do not walk your dogs in others yards. You must keep your pets on a leash at all times.

Please make sure you are coming to a complete STOP, then proceed with caution at all stop signs in the community. Drivers are responsible for their actions and these traffic signs are still to be obeyed!

Please remember, our community is a 55+ Community. IF you have guests that will staying with you, they need to be registered at the office. We need to know who is staying with you in your home and the duration. As a reminder, guests are allowed to stay maximum of 30 days per calendar year.

Broccoli and Grape Pasta Salad

INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 cup chopped pecans

• 8 ounces farfalle pasta

• 3 cups finely chopped broccoli florets

• 1 cup mayonnaise

• 1/4 cup sugar

• 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

INSTRUCTIONS

• 1/3 cup diced red onion

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 2 cups seedless red grapes, cut in half

• 6 cooked bacon slices, crumbled

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pecans on baking sheet and toast in oven for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring half way through.

2. Prepare pasta according to package directions, cooking to al dente. Drain pasta and place in a large bowl.

3. In a medium bowl combine mayonnaise, sugar, red wine vinegar, red onion, and salt. Whisk well.

4. Add broccoli and grapes to the large bowl with pasta. Gradually add mayonnaise mixture (you may not want to add the whole amount).

5. Cover and chill for 3 hours. Stir bacon and pecans into salad just before serving.
