Hello everyone! We certainly know that we are in the heat of the summer. I am happy to see many of the residents taking advantage of our cool clubhouse and enjoying the various games going on each week. These scheduled games provide a forum for friendship, thinking, laughter and having lots of fun together with other residents. Check your Activity Calendar as we play Bunco, Horse Races, Bingo, Canasta, Samba, Pinochle, Golf Cards and other various fun games. It is extra special when we have newer residents participate and join the fun.

We had such a wonderful Independence Day, July 4th, Potluck event. We had so much food and several residents told me that it was the best potluck meal they ever ate and they have participated in many potlucks over the years in the community. Thank you to everyone who cooked delicious

food and contributed to the meal. As always, I cannot thank the individuals enough who stayed an extra few minutes to wash utensils, dry them and put things away. I surely do appreciate your help to get the clubhouse back to the clean and nice facility that we enjoy every day.

Let’s all get through the summer heat by staying hydrated and cool either indoors or out at the swimming pool. Please note that through the very hot months, the newsletters will not be delivered door to door. I will have plenty of them in the clubhouse lobby for you to pick up your copy.

Please note that our current Coppersun Charitable Event will be ending on August 31, 2025. This event is benefiting DAV, Disabled Americans Veterans of America. I am accepting both checks (you must make them out to DAV) or cash that I will turn into one check to be sent. Please contact me if you wish to donate to this deserving charity. Thank you everyone.

This month we would like to introduce Larry and Lois Werwinski*, in Lot # 435* to the community. Here are the responses to our interview:

When did you move into the community? April 2025

Why did you decide to live here?

We liked the size of the community, and that it is gated. We loved the organized activities going on, plus the pool area.

Where have you called “home?” Give 3 or 4 facts about your home state that are not common knowledge: Larry’s home town was Mosinee, WI for 30 years of his life. It was a small town with farms and a paper mill. Lois comes from New Lenox, Illinois, where there also were acres of farm land in a small town.

What interests do you have? To get involved with the organized activities, and to win more trophies..haha

What do you think would make this community even better? TO FIX THE ROADS

Is there anything else you'd like add? We find the people are very friendly.
