Duke TIP Awards

Caddo Mills ISD has been notified by The Duke University Talent Identification Program that 7th grader Jett Johnson will be recognized nationally based on his outstanding performance on the ACT test. The 7th graders selected to test are given the opportunity to learn more about their academic strengths. Duke TIP then provides the participant with comparative information concerning their academic abilities and resources for unique educational opportunities. The goal is to assist young people with excellent mathematical or verbal aptitude. Students who qualify for Duke TIP’s Grand Recognition scored the same or better than 90% of the juniors and seniors in high school who took this college entrance exam. These students represent the top 2% of the entire Duke TIP 7th Grade Talent Search. Jett will be honored at the State Level first on the campus of the University of North Texas receiving a medallion. Later this summer he will be honored at Duke University in the Cameron Indoor Stadium receiving a second medallion. Caddo Mills is extremely proud of Jett and congratulates him on these awards. In the picture: Jett is in front surrounded by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Johnson, brother Jake, and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Joe Johnson. This picture was taken at the Caddo Mills ISD Board meeting where Jett was recognized.

The 3rd Graders at Griffis Elementary presented School House Rock for the Griffis PTO.

The One Act Play was presented on May 11 to the public at Caddo Mills High School.
