Scenic Town Is Known for its Heavily Wooded Neighborhoods
Woodcliff Lake is an upscale community in the Pascack Valley, about 22 miles northwest of Manhattan. As they drive through town, residents and the many corporate professionals in the area enjoy beautiful, picturesque views of the Woodcliff Reservoir, which adds to the scenic beauty of the town, known for its heavily wooded neighborhoods.

The 2,300-acre borough is home to Wood Dale Park, a county park with a large pond for fishing and model boating, walking paths, playground, tennis courts, dog park, a pavilion and gazebo. The borough also has a large pool at its Old Mill Complex, with tennis courts and athletic fields.
Woodcliff Lake has all the commodities of a modern town, but is rich with history and features structures dating back to the 1700s. The tree density in the area of Woodcliff Lake makes for beautiful showings in the fall and winter.
The Woodcliff Lake School District includes pre-Kindergarten education through grade 8 at two schools. Dorchester Elementary serves pre-K through grade 5. Woodcliff Lake Middle School covers grades 6 through 8.
Public high school students move on to Pascack Hills Regional High School, along with students from nearby Montvale. The student-teacher ratio is an attractive 12:1.
Woodcliff Lake is served by the Garden State Parkway at exit 171 and County Route 503, both of which pass through the borough. Residents can also come home via exits 168 or 172 off the Parkway. The Saddle River Tours/Ameribus services provides bus transportation to George Washington Bridge Bus Station, while private bus company Rockland Coaches offers commuter service to Midtown Manhattan. Woodcliff Lake has its own passenger train station, conveniently located downtown. The train offers connections to the Pascack Valley Line, Hoboken Terminal, and the New York Waterways ferry service.

Woodcliff Lake is bordered by the Bergen County municipalities of Hillsdale, Montvale, Park Ridge, River Vale, Saddle River, and small portions of Upper Saddle River. Established in 1894, Woodcliff Lake has many historic houses and buildings, some dating from the 18th century. Many old buildings are also present but are likely to have been modified through the years.
