Lavinia Tam's advice on self love
I would say self love is a transition.
When you haven’t found yourself in self love, you might see yourself in other people’s eyes. In one’s life, many people might have praised you in every way to make you feel great. But that might not be the best for you. Not that you don’t deserve love and praise. You do, in every way.
Self love is different here.
This transition to see yourself, In your own perspective. When you look at yourself, weirdly enough, it’s not praise you would see.
You'd realize there are many flaws in you.
Sounds bad at some point.
But self love means, you grew.
You understand these flaws.
You learn from the flaws. and you accept these flaws.
Soon, you find these flaws beautiful.
Soon, you find that you could improve because of them, and believe that the universe has made you, you.
You become unique.
Don’t follow people’s expectation. Let your physical and mental health be supported through this transition.
You are loved, by you.
