Since the majority of plate heat exchanger gaskets are manufactured from perishable rubber polymers, they require replacing from time to time as the gasket loses the ability to seal through hardening and deterioration. With over 40 years experience we understand that the correct polymer is crucial to the effective operation of the plate heat exchanger therefore ensuring the integrity of your heat exchangers performance.

Applications
Featuring excellent resistance to petroleum products and solvents, with good high temperature ad low compression set characteristics. For use with wide chemical exposure situtations, and with low gas permeability, it is also suited for hard vacuum service.
High performance grades with resistance to petroleum products and solvents, with good high temperature and low compression set characteristics. For use with wide chemical exposure situations, and with low gas permeability, it is also suited for hot water and steam.
Ethylene Propylene has excellent ozone and chemical resistance characteristics. Generally used in automotive brake systems.
Very readily used in the food industry for CIP to steam applications. EPDMF has good resistance to alkalis, cleaning chemicals. Also used in hot food processes with foods not containing fats or oils.
A nitrile elastomer with excellent resistance to petroleum oils, and sour gas. With the extended temperature range, HSN is becoming a preferred compound in the oil patch.
Due to its excellent resistance to freon and ammonia, Neoprene is widely accepted as a preferred elastomer for refrigeration seals.
Presently the seal industry’s most widely used elastomer. Nitrile combines excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils and fuels, silicone greases, hydraulic fluids, water and alcohols. It has a good balance of working properties such as low compression set, high tensile strength, high abrasion resistance, combined with a low cost.
Typically used in HVAC condenser heat exchangers.
Widely used in the Food Industry for general sealing applications especially for food oil-based products.
Silicone elastomer is resistant to high, dry heat, in primarily static applications. It has low compression set characteristics and a wide temperature range.
