LSPU-SPCC---College of Hospitality, Management, and Tourism (CHMT) bets Francis Caunin and Reymelyn Eisen Ladanga have been crowned as Ginoo at Binibini ng Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) 2019 as part of the annual celebration of the Culture and Arts Festival (CAF) held in University Gymnasium on August 30. CHMT’s runner-ups were Carl Vinson Subijano and Pauline Joi Pinana of College of Engineering (COE) both finished 1st runner-up and were awarded by Ms. Isabelle Dolk and Mr. Spencer Abadilla while Juan Miguel Reyes and Reylene Iranzo of College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA) by: Kim Arnie Gesmundo by: Angelica Maries D. LSPU-SPCC---College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA) slammed the dance floor as they bagged gold for the fourth time Latin Category and secured their twopeat streak in Modern Category during the Dance Sports Competition as part of the 59th Foundation Day cum Intramurals Meet 2019 held in University Gymnasium on September 11.
Couples from the College of Hospitality, Management, and Tourism (CHMT) for Standard Category placed second while the College of Teacher Education who grabbed 2nd runner-up were awarded by Mr. Juancho Gabinete. Cuanin and Ladanga bagged the Best in Neo-Filipiniana Award, Best in Production and Best in Swimwear while Subijano and Pinana were announced as Best in Formal Attire and were declared as Mr. and Ms. Photogenic. During the question and answer segment, aspirants manifested their wit when they answered current and relevant issues today such as mental health, economic success, drug abuse, use of plastics, social media, abortion, and healthcare. Caunin and Ladanga, will represent LSPU- San Pablo City Campus in the next University-Wide pageant. *** from the College of Teacher Education, namely: Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd); Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd); Bachelor of Technological Livelihood Education (BTLEd), Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd); and, Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) takers specializing in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Filipino. John Oliven Sumague and Renato Javier, Jr. served as the masters of ceremony. *** (CTE) ranked third and College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) finished in the fourth place.
CAS’ duo for Latin Category were awarded second, CHMT ranked third, CTE bagged fourth place while CIT was hailed fifth place. Contestants from CBMA and CHMT grabbed the Best Female Performer while contenders from CHMT and CBMA were awarded as Best Male Performers in Standard Category. Participants from CAS and CHMT were announced as Best Female Performers while CBMA and CIT were hailed Best Male Performer in Latin Category.
The best female and male performers will compete for LSPU-SPCC in this year’s University Wide Meet.
The contenders were judge by Mr. Anton Gamila, Dr. Allan Bautista and Mr. Emmanuel Emprese and were scored according to their partnering skills, technical footworks, style, line and shape, floor pattern and timing.
Standard category competition included waltz, tango and quick step while the Latin category was comprised of cha-cha, rumba, and jive.**** GRIMACE. CHMT Duo striked a pose as pagent victors.
