Welcome to the 19th edition of the Te Atatu AFC newsletter.
With the apparent weather bomb and subsequent postponements. there were minimal games on this weekend with our Men’s Firsts, Reserves and Under 17s being the only ones on the pitch.
Our Men’s Firsts defeated Warkworth 8-0 with yet another Rhys Caples hat-trick, although goal of the game would surely go to Shaun O’Brien. Our Reserves battled to an impressive 2-0 win over the Warkworth Reserves with Ivan and Jake Henry getting their first goals for the club. Those results mean 12 points have been taken from Warkworth this year, and impressive double-double.
On Wednesday Nathan Rollinson upstaged Rhys’s hattrick when he banged in four goals as we beat Ranui in a mid-week catch up game.
This weekend we have 6 games at TAT Park, starting on Saturday with our Firsts & Reserves playing South Auckland, our Wild Stallions playing Albany, and a local derby as the Birthday Boys play West Auckland.
