Die westliche Bevölkerung versucht, die sich immer weiter und schneller entwickelnde Welt gedanklich zu vereinfachen indem sie die Mensch, Gegenstände und Situationen in Ihrem gewohnten Umfeld zu kategorisieren und dadurch zu lernen sie schneller einschätzen zu können.
The Western population is trying to ever more advanced and faster developing world to simplify mentally by categorizing people, objects and situations in their familiar environment and thereby learning to assess them more quickly.
Ziel von poetics of the body war es, befreit von diesen Denkmustern in Anlehnung an das Ursprünglichste - unseren eigenen Körper etwas zu entwickeln was für den Betrachter nicht eindeutig mit herkömmlichen Begrifflichkeiten einzuordnen ist.
The goal of poetics of the body was to free people from these patterns of thinking according to the Most original - to develop our own body something which is not for the observer unambiguously with conventional terms is to be classified.
Hierfür haben wir den im herkömmlichen Leben vieler Menschen vielleicht am stärksten einer bestimmten Funktion zugeordneten Ort gewählt und um ein zusätzliches Interface ergänzt. Durch dieses bietet der Raum alternative Möglichkeiten der Nutzung und ist somit sowohl optisch als auch funktionell nicht mehr eindeutig kategorisierbar.
For this purpose, we have chosen the location that is perhaps the most strongly assigned to a particular function in the conventional lives of many people, and added an additional interface. This interface allows the room to be used in alternative ways and is therefore no longer clearly categorisable both optically and functionally.

Die Ansprüche an die Aufenthaltsqualität innerhalb der uns umgebenden wohnlichen Bereiche steigen zunehmend. Von dieser Entwicklung sind Treppenbereiche scheinbar ausgenommen, die in der gedanklichen Zuordnung der Gesellschaft und somit auch in ihrer qualitativen Ausführung nach wie vor als Funktionsfläche betrachtet werden und somit einer starken, einseitigen Kategorisierung unterliegen.
The demands placed on the quality of living within the residential areas surrounding us are increasingly increasing. Staircase areas seem to be excluded from this development, as they are still regarded as functional areas in the mental allocation of society and thus also in their qualitative design and are therefore subject to a strong, one-sided categorisation.
Dieses Stigma ausnutzend haben wir inspiriert durch Verner Pantons Visiona 2, zwei Körper entwickelt, deren Form sich aus einer Körperstudie ableitend, den für Treppenbereiche typischen kanitgen Formen bewusst entgegen stellt und somit bereits visuell im Konflikt mit ihrer Umgebung steht.
Inspired by Verner Panton‘s Visiona 2, we have developed two bodies that take advantage of this stigma. Their form is derived from a body study and deliberately opposes the angular forms typical of staircase areas, thus already visually conflicting with their surroundings.
Die Formgebung der individuellen Formen fordert zur Erkundung des Objektes und zum Verweilen sowie zur Interaktion unter den Nutzern auf. Folglich wird aus der bisherigen reinen Bewegungsfläche ein vielseitig nutzbarer Bereich geschaffen.
The design of the individual forms invites to explore the object and to linger as well as to interact among the users. As a result, a versatile area is created from the previous pure movement surface.

Entwickelt als dreiteiliges Objekt für die mögliche Verwendung innerhalb stärker frequentierten, möglicherweise öffentlichen Bereichen, entstand auch ein in seinen Abmessungen reduziertes Modell zur Verwendung in beengter Umgebung.
Developed as a three-part object for possible use within more frequented, possibly public areas, a reduced-size model was also created for use in confined spaces.

Im vom Bauhaus beeinflussten Tel Aviv der 70er Jahre aufgewachsen, erkannte Absalon früh, dass er einen eigenen Weg finden muss um sich mit der Gesellschaft zu arrangieren. Nach Umzug nach Paris und ersten Kontakten zur Kunstwelt entwickelte Abslon am Ende seines 29-jährigen Lebens sechs abstrakte, weiße Körper die seinen Versuch des Lebens innerhalb dieser Gesellschaft darstellen sollten.
Having grown up in Tel Aviv in the 70s, influenced by the Bauhaus, Absalon realized early on that he had to find his own way to arrange himself with society. After moving to Paris and first contacts to the art world, Abslon developed six abstract white bodies at the end of his 29-year life, which were to represent his attempt to live within this society.
Die als sein Hauptwerk geltenden, aus einfachen geometrischen Formen additiv zusammengesetzten Einraumhäuser sollten auf öffentlichen Plätzen in Paris, Zürich, New York, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt und Tokio aufgestellt werden um ihm abwechselnd als Wohnsitz zu dienen. In ihrem Inneren folgt die Form klar der Funktion. Es gibt für jeden Punkt in der Zelle eine richtige Bewegung, man kann nicht überall stehen. Jeder Platz ist in Höhe und Breite knapp bemessen.
The one-room houses, considered his main work and composed of simple geometric forms, were to be placed in public squares in Paris, Zurich, New York, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt and Tokyo in order to serve him alternately as a residence. Inside, form clearly follows function. There is a correct movement for every point in the cell, one cannot stand everywhere. Each space is limited in height and width.

Die sich wiederholenden Formen veranlassten uns seine Gebäude in eben diese Elemente zu zerteilen und auf neuen Weise zu einem raumerzeugenden Gebilde innerhalb einer imaginären Hülle zu platzieren um nicht vorrangig in, sondern vor allem zwischen den Körpern einen physisch erfahrbaren Raum mit einer halböffentlichen Erscheinung entstehen zu lassen.

The repetitive forms prompted us to divide his buildings into these very elements and to place them in a new way into a space-creating structure within an imaginary shell in order to create a physically perceptible space with a semi-public a ppearance, not primarily within, but above all between the bodies.

The muenster sculpture project, which takes place every ten years and coincides with the documenta, is an internationally renowned event.
Während des m.s.p. zeigen geladene internationale Künstler ihre Skulpturen an verschiedenen Orten in der ganzen Stadt und konfrontieren diese so mit der Kunstwelt.
During the m.s.p., invited international artists will show their sculptures at various locations throughout the city, thus confronting them with the art world.

Als dauerhaft Anlaufstelle für Interessierte soll ein Pavillon entstehen, der rund um das m.s.p. informiert und zum Erkunden der noch existierenden Kunstwerke überall in der Stadt motiviert.
As a permanent contact point for those interested, a pavilion is to be created that provides information about m.s.p. and motivates visitors to explore the remaining works of art throughout the city.
Die Formgebung und das optische Erscheinungsbild von Absalons Werken abgeleitet, haben wir einen modular transportablen Pavillon entwickelt der ähnlich wie die ausgestellten Werke über die ganze Stadt verteilt an verschiedenen Orten aufgestellt und weiter transportiert werden kann. Es stellt sich die Frage ob er nicht auch selbst als Skulptur betrachtet werden könnte.
The design and the visual appearance of this were derived from Absalon‘s work, and we developed a modular, transportable pavilion that can be set up and transported to different locations throughout the city in a similar way to the exhibited works. The question arises as to whether it could not also be regarded as a sculpture itself.
Innerhalb der einzelnen, einen halböffentlichen Zwischenraum erzeugenden, Kuben befindet sich Platz für einen Informations- und Café-Tresen, Plätze zum verweilen, Ausstellungsflächen und in zylindrischen Körper eine bedienbare Installation mit einzelnen Informationen zu vergangenen Skulpturen.
Within the individual cubes, which create a semi-public gap, there is space for an information and café counter, places to linger, exhibition areas, and in cylindrical bodies an operable installation with individual information on past sculptures.

Die aus einer tragenden Stahlkonstruktion bestehenden Kรถrper werden mit einer versteckt liegenden, lรถsbaren Schraubverbindung untereinander befestigt. Auf diese Weise wird ein Zerlegen in transportable Elemente sowie ein erneutes Zusammensetzten ermรถglicht.
The bodies, consisting of a load-bearing steel construction, are fastened to each other with a hidden, detachable screw connection. In this way it can be dismantled into transportable elements and reassembled.
