2015 saw increases in sales of single family homes for most of our featured Westchester towns, either across all price ranges or in key segments of the market. Days on the market (DOM) decreased in each of these areas indicating a strong return of eager buyers. See market statistical chart inside for further details.

• In Armonk, DOM decreased to an average 109 DOM (a 21-day decrease from 2014). The total dollar volume realized for 2015 is $176,090,333 and units sold are up 15%. The median selling price is $999,000. • Chappaqua is a market leader in 2015 with total dollar volume up 21.3% and units sold rising 24.4% over the same period in 2014. Chappaqua sale prices remained stable with a median selling price of $909,000. Chappaqua DOM experienced a 27-day decrease.

• Edgemont saw growth in total dollar volume by 4.5%, and the number of units sold rising by 4.8% in 2015. The median selling price is $1,065,000 in 2015. • The New Rochelle (Davis elementary school) area is exceedingly "hot" with positive results across all categories as compared to 2014. Total dollar volume is up 21.4% and units sold up by 15.1%. The median selling price is $709,500. • In Scarsdale, homes sold briskly in 2015 with 24 fewer DOM as compared to 2015. The total dollar volume of sales in 2015 is $395,924,776. The median selling price is $1,450,000.
