I am currently working as a tutor for the Friends of Simon Tutoring Program at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Paul Shaker (former dean, professor emeritus, and founder of the program) was sitting across from me as we discussed the program’s future. After the retreat ended, Paul approached me and said, “Wow, the way you’re talking sounds like you could be a professor.” My heart stopped and I was speechless.
