Temple’s 5784 Annual Campaign –Because We’re Family
By Emma Silverstein, Development Manager
Throughout the year, Temple’s members and friends support worship, education, and programs with generous donations. Whether through your annual membership contribution, a listing in the Memorial Book, a tribute in honor of an occasion, or a gift to the Annual Campaign, your generosity enables Temple to engage in the holy work of our community. Thank you.

In keeping with the tradition of giving tzedakah during the High Holy Days, we ask that you please consider making a gift to Temple’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Annual Campaign – Because We’re Family, which launches on Rosh Hashanah and runs through December 31, 2023. We provide a variety of options for contributing, making it easier than ever to support Temple.
You may choose to contribute to a fund that aligns most with your personal values: the High Holy Days Fund (for greatest needs, including security), the Endless Opportunities Fund, the Siegal Tikkun Olam Fund, or the Jennifer Rosen Meade Preschool Fund. Watch your email or mailbox for more information about each fund’s individual impact.
Do you work for a company that has a matching program? If so, they may match your gift, leveraging the impact of your generosity. Ask your HR team for more information.
As you consider your support, in addition to giving online or by mail, we offer members many ways to support Temple that may have tax advantages*, including:
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
DAFs are the fastest-growing giving method and a tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations.
Donor-Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. If you are a DAF holder at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon, you can easily make a designation through the DAFDirect window on the Ways to Give page of Temple’s website.
Appreciated Securities
Contribute a gift of stock. Brokerage information is on our website, or you may call me directly for details.
Qualified Charitable Distribution from an Individual Retirement Account
If you are 70 ½ years of age or older, you may make gifts by rolling over up to $100,000 from an IRA and pay no income tax on the amount that has been transferred. Please consult your tax advisor to learn more about this tax-advantaged giving option.
