Four years ago, Kyle Desmond was at a crossroads with his career. He and his wife, Lyndsey, were also expecting their second child. With 14 years of sales experience and a desire to have his own business, Kyle was ready to make a career change that would support his growing family and fulfill his dream of entrepreneurship while helping others.

Real estate was a natural fit for Kyle as it was something he had often thought about but hadn’t yet pursued. “I was ready for a change,” Kyle recalled. “I made a list of careers that were compatible with my background as well as something that would allow me the flexibility to design my own business and set my own schedule — needless to say, real estate was at the top of my list.”
Today, Kyle is a licensed real estate agent at Hall & Hunter Realtors with a career volume over $28 million. He has been recognized as an “Hour Detroit” Real Estate All-Star, a top producer in Oakland County and a rising star at Hall & Hunter.
Kyle shared how grateful he is for the relationships that his real estate business has given him. “I make it a priority to help my clients every step of the way,” he said. “It is so rewarding when clients become friends long after the sales transaction is complete.” Additionally, Kyle values the friendships he finds within his office, among other agents and alongside his business partners.
Kyle goes to great lengths to treat every client as if they are family — an important character trait he learned from his father. As a young boy, Kyle watched his dad run the family business — AJ Desmond and Sons Funeral Home — and serve within their community. “My dad had a huge influence on me,” Kyle shared. “I watched how he made a lasting impact on people through his care and service. That was, and still is, very inspirational to me.”

Kyle continues his dad’s legacy in his real estate career with his attention to client service and loyalty to those around him. “I am present in everything I do, which keeps me focused and gives me the opportunity to listen. By doing this, I pay attention to details, I work smarter and it gives me the stamina that this business requires.”
Given his quick rise to success, Kyle offers up-and-coming agents some advice. “Be ready to grind,” he suggest- ed. “This business is a 12-months-a-year job that never quits. If you make yourself available and concentrate on the people you know and those relationships, your business will thrive.”
When Kyle isn’t finding dream homes for his clients, he can be found in northern Michigan at his cottage with his wife, Lyndsey, and their two children — Dylan, who loves su- perheroes and sports, and Ryley, who enjoys dressing like the latest Disney princess.
Looking ahead, Kyle plans to continue the growth of his business. He is slowly forming a partnership with Hall & Hunter colleague, Michael Perrotta, and together they are devel- oping final plans to be rolled out later this year.
Making and having a positive impact on people is how Kyle defines success. “Big or small, it feels good to make a difference in other people’s lives,” Kyle said.
“My advice to finding success is to find something you love to do and be someone people can depend upon."
