Letter from the Editor
from NOVEMBER 2022
“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.” -Hal Borland
The year of 2022 has been filled with ups and downs. From the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and wars, there seems to be so many unexpected turns. But, despite all these challenges we faced, the world continues to strive toward a better future, such as biological development. As a global community, we always continue to respond the same way to any challenge: persevere, overcome and develop. Even in our TCIS community, we strive to continue making small changes to overcome challenges from the pandemic, such as the small action of having water events during SEW. This issue discusses a large variety of topics, some lighter or heavier than others. The correspondents for the newspaper have been putting a large amount of effort towards this publication. As you read these articles, I challenge you to find the common underlying theme of hope as we overcome the challenges that we face this year.
