TC Men’s Soccer entered the 2024 season with the goal of replacing talent last to graduation a season ago, making for a much younger team and returning only a small handful of starters. The season also gave fans an outside glimpse of the changing of the guard, as Rafa Marins was named Associate Head Coach, and as Head Coach Grant Brubacher walked the sidelines for the final time. Despite finishing with a 5-9-3 overall record, most games were decided by one goal and had the potential to go either way. Wins over Evangel and Friends, and a draw with USAO served as signature matches.

Cooper Taylor earned All-KCAC Honorable Mention recognition for his efforts throughout the season, while Ethan Barnes was named the team’s Champion of Character. Six Bluejays earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors: Barnes, Darius DeWerff, Alejandro Honrado Salas, Cason Chadd, Charlie Stammers, and Clemente Iturrate.

Mulrooney was named KCAC and NAIA Defensive Player of the Week on September 16th after making an impressive 10 saves and holding then No. 25 ranked Hastings to a 0-0 draw.

Following the conclusion of the season, Raegan King was named KCAC First Team All-Conference, Neve Mulrooney was named KCAC Second Team All-Conference, and April Ochoa and Haven Deckinger were named All-KCAC Honorable Mention. TC football bounced back from a 3-8 season in a big way, finishing with a 6-5 overall record and earning a second-place finish in the KCAC Bissell Division, with a 4-1 record. After opening the season with a big win at home over Highway 56 rival McPherson, the Bluejays found themselves on a four-game skid before bouncing back with a huge win in North Newton over rival Bethel on the Threshers homecoming weekend. They followed that by rattling off two more divisional wins before falling to Kansas Wesleyan. The team bounced back from the loss with wins at home over Saint Mary and Ottawa to close out the season on a high note. Christian Tuiasosopo earned the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week Award on Sept. 2nd for his performance against McPherson, and Nathan Heilig earned the KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week Award on Nov. 11th for his work in the win over Saint Mary.
