THE BLUEJAY RESOURCE GUIDE 2025-2026

We are so glad you have chosen to be a part of the Bluejay family! Our mission here at Tabor is to “Prepare people for a life of learning, work, and service for Christ and His Kingdom.” Our Student Life staff is excited to get to know you and walk alongside you as you discover your calling and are equipped to fulfill God's plans for your life.

Our core values guide everything we do here at Tabor College. First and foremost, we are a CHRIST-CENTERED institution of higher learning. Since Tabor's purpose is to promote LEARNING, all we do and all we learn is filtered through the lens of Christ. We believe that He guides our lives, gives us all knowledge and wisdom, and equips us to live out the calling He places on us.

While you’re here, we hope you make it a priority to get INVOLVED because we believe that being engaged and involved increases learning. We value the COMMUNITY that is created here and believe that the friends you make during your time at Tabor College could impact you for the rest of your life. Through engaging in community life here, we hope that Jesus will begin to transform your heart and mind so that you will think of others' needs and learn to SERVE others around you.

This Bluejay Resource Guide will be your roadmap during this upcoming school year. It is packed with information to ensure you are prepared for a wonderful year. The information within this Resource Guide will help answer questions, give you important dates, and highlight the many ways you can get involved in the 2025-2026 year. However, the people employed at Tabor are your most significant assets to your success. Whether it is our student life team, coaches, faculty, or staff, we are all here to help make your college experience the very best it can be.

We are here to serve you!

Once again, welcome to Tabor! We are so glad you are here!

Go Bluejays!

SpIRITUAL LIFE

Spiritual Formation and Community Life is more than a program. It is a way of living! Our Spiritual Formation programs are designed to cultivate an environment for spiritual growth on our campus. The primary way we promote this is through regularly scheduled chapels each week. Spiritual Formation also oversees small groups and coordinates with departments for missions opportunities.

Small Groups

Bible studies, discipleship groups and student led ministries are also available at various times throughout the week and at various locations on campus. Small group ministries are a place where students can connect and grow as they learn how to follow God together.

CHApEL

Global Outreach

Students have the opportunity to travel to various foreign countries to experience learning and life in a different culture, to do onsite studies, research, or work alongside missionaries as they minister to their communities. We are tentatively planning trips to Turkey, Macau (China), Indonesia, and Peru.

Chapel

Tabor College holds chapel weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays where staff, faculty and students come together to worship, hear God’s Word and connect to one another.

Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible, is a beautifully structured acrostic poem that highlights the significance of God's Word. Divided into 22 sections, each corresponding to a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, this psalm follows a pattern in which every verse within a section begins with the same Hebrew letter. This poetic design encourages meditation and memorization, reinforcing the theme of steadfast devotion to God’s truth. The psalmist expresses a deep love for God's commands, discovering strength, guidance, and stability in His statutes amid life’s storms. This structure and message serve as a powerful reminder that God's Word is not only

authoritative but also life-giving, shaping believers to stand firm in their faith.

Throughout its 176 verses, Psalm 119 repeatedly highlights the unshakable foundation of Scripture, resonating with the theme of "Unshaken: Standing Firm in God’s Word." God's Word remains our solid rock in a world filled with uncertainty, changing values, and personal challenges. Unshaken urges us to root our lives in Scripture, allowing its truths to steady us amid life’s storms.

Throughout this year-long journey in Psalm 119, we will delve into how God’s Word provides clarity, endurance, hope, and unwavering faith in the face of trials.
