The Body Shop At Home™ offers our Independent Consultants the opportunity to run a self-employed business working alongside a world renowned, ethical and iconic beauty brand – The Body Shop. The Compensation Plan provides the framework for your The Body Shop At Home™ business. It’s an exciting and progressive structure designed to recognize and support the different levels of personal aspiration each Consultant has, whilst facilitating business growth and rewarding achievement.

This plan includes sales volumes and business structure requirements; it provides a supportive framework that directly connects the level of personal commitment you make to your business to the earning opportunities and financial rewards you can achieve. This approach allows every Consultant to take control, to decide how to drive their business to successfully achieve their personal goals and income aspirations.

With fourteen levels in the Compensation Plan (this booklet features the first eight) each level features different sales and business structure requirements along with different levels of bonus payment, rewards and income opportunities. Right now the focus is to get started and develop your business, speak to your upline leader about your aspirations and building a business that meets your personal goals and objectives.

CONSULTANT

CONSULTANT Consultant is the entry level into the Compensation Plan and the first step on your journey. To maintain an open account all Consultants must be Paid As Beauty Consultant Rank at least once in a rolling 12 month period. The following Rank Recommendations will help you at the beginning stages of your business.

BEAUTY CONSULTANT Beauty Consultant Rank is when you are an ‘Active’ Consultant. This means you sell $125 in a calendar month in Personal Volume. You will then be eligible for Personal Volume Bonuses.

You have now started to build your own team. The Body Shop At Home™ suggests a Star Beauty Consultant works towards the following goals for the best chance for success. SILVER LEADER Silver Leader Rank is the first level of leadership in the Compensation Plan. You have now welcomed and helped to support new Consultants into your Central Team. The Compensation Plan is structured to ensure Leaders are rewarded for both their personal success and the success of their team. Additional earning opportunities and bonuses are added to the plan at this level. The Body Shop At Home™ suggests a Silver Leader aims to work towards the following to see success. To do this, from the month in which the new Leader promotes plus the following month, you have a lowered Central Team Volume to achieve. GOLD LEADER

GOLD LEADER Gold Leaders take a step further on from only supporting a Central Team to developing a minimum of one Downline leadership team by mentoring strong Consultants within their Downline to develop their own teams and promote out as Silver Leaders. Gold Leader is the first step in the Compensation Plan that requires a Leader to promote out new Leaders; this activity continues on an increasingly larger scale as you move through the Compensation Plan.

TITLE ADVANCEMENT BONUSES

TITLE ADVANCEMENT BONUS (TAB) When you progress through the Leadership levels of the Compensation Plan, there are bonuses available along the way to reward you for your progression. This bonus payment is available when a first time new Leader Rank is achieved. This payment is only ever paid out once per new Leader Rank.

If one month is not achieved the bonus payment for that month will be forfeited and cannot be received.

TITLE ADVANCEMENT BONUSES

ACCELERATED TITLE ADVANCEMENT BONUS (ATAB) When you join The Body Shop At Home™ you can accelerate your progression through the Leader Ranks. When you achieve a New Leader Rank in a set period of time as stated in the table below you will achieve the Accelerated Title Advancement Bonus (ATAB). The set period of time starts the 1st of the month following enrollment, i.e. if enrollment date is 21 January, the set period of time commences 1 February. This bonus replaces the Title Advancement Bonus (TAB).

This bonus payment is available when a first-time new Leader Rank is achieved in a set period of time. This payment is only ever paid out once per new Leader Rank. This bonus payment will be paid over a time period in equal monthly payments as stated in the table below. It will be paid each month when the Paid As Rank is achieved for the specific Leader Rank Accelerated Title Advancement Bonus payment. If one month is not achieved the bonus payment for that month will be forfeited and cannot be received.

A Leader Bonus payment that is paid the first time a new Leader Rank is earned, when that Rank is earned in a specified period of time from the enrollment date. This payment is only ever paid out once and replaces Title Advancement Bonus

Active

All Consultants who have achieved Personal Volume of $125 or more in a month

Active Consultant Leg

A single Leg of business that has a Beauty Consultant or above in it

Adopted

A Consultant who is Terminated from the business and has a Downline underneath them. The Downline will be Adopted by the first Consultant above them

Build Back – Central Team

In the Month of and the Month following the Promote Out of a new Leader from an existing Leader’s Central Team, the existing Leader’s Central Team Paid As sales criteria is reduced to enable them to regain his or her Central Team Sales. Requirements are different at each Rank

Business Development Bonus

A bonus paid monthly to all Paid As Ruby Group Leaders and above. This sum is different at each Level of the Compensation Plan

Central Group

A Central Team and all the Leaders including their Central Teams within a Leaders Downline, excluding any Sapphire Vice Presidents and above and their Downlines

Central Group Volume

The Total Sales of a Leader’s Central Group

Central Team

Central Team Volume

Anyone who has signed a The Body Shop At Home™ Independent Consultant Agreement and purchased a Beauty Kit. Also includes a Consultant that is not Active in the month

Demote/Demotion

When a Leader does not meet his or her Rank Maintenance criteria in the specified time allowed for his or her Rank, he or she will be demoted. His or her new Rank effective the 1st of the month following the last month of the Rank Maintenance period would be the Paid As Rank and active maintenance period that is being held

Everyone a Consultant recruits, their recruits and so on down the line

A Consultant who holds the title of Silver Leader or above

Leg

A single line of business coming directly from a Personally Sponsored Consultant or Adopted Consultant

Level

The position a Consultant has in a Downline relative to the Consultant above them

Month

A calendar month

Paid As

The Rank a Consultant has qualified to be Paid As in the current month, which is dependent on his or her Personal Volume, Central Team Sales, Central Group Sales, Total Group Sales, Active Consultant Legs and Paid As Leader Legs

Paid As Leader Leg

A single Leg of business where at least one Consultant has been Paid As Silver Leader or above

Pay line

The Generations on which a Leader may be paid Generation Bonus based on his or her Paid As Rank

Any Consultant who was originally enrolled on to the system by another Consultant

Personally Sponsored Consultant

Personal Retail Discount

Paid on all Personal Volume of commissionable product a Consultant achieves. This is 20% of the Recommended Retail Price. Small variances may apply to specific items and items in specific promotions

The total amount of retail and other sales achieved by a Consultant in a month

When a Consultant achieves all the criteria required to be promote to a higher Rank. All new Ranks are effective immediately

Qualification

The criteria required for a Consultant to Promote to a new Rank

Rank

A position in the structure of the Compensation Plan. Can also be referred to as title

Rank Maintenance (To be Paid As)

A Leader must have met the relevant requirements by the end of a month for him or her to be Paid As his or her Recognized Rank

Rank Retention (To Retain Rank)

A Leader must be Paid As Rank at least once in a set number of rolling months per Rank to retain their Recognized Rank • Silver Leader, Gold Leader, Platinum Leader = 3 Months • Ruby Group Leader & Double Ruby Group Leader = 6 Months

Recognized Rank

The highest Rank a Consultant holds during a month. This could be higher than the Paid As Rank for that month

Renewal

Renewal applies to a Consultant who has previously been a Consultant within the last 12 months. As soon as he or she has Personal Volume of $125 or more in a month he or she will automatically become a Beauty Consultant. Any Consultant that does not renew and become a Beauty Consultant within a rolling 12 month period will be Terminated

Roll Up

When a Consultant is Terminated from the business his or her Downline will Roll Up to the Consultant immediately above the Terminated Consultant. The Consultants that Roll Up will now be considered “Adopted” by their upline Consultant. This can also be referred to as compression

Terminated

When a Consultant’s Agreement is ended by either notification from the Consultant or by the company

Title Advancement Bonus

A Bonus payment that is paid the first time a new Leader Rank is achieved. This payment is only ever paid out once per new Leader Rank. Accelerated Title Advancement Bonus will supersede Title Advancement Bonus when the new Rank is achieved in the set time for Accelerated Title Advancement Bonus to apply

Total Group

All Consultants and Leaders within a Leaders Downline including Sapphire Vice Presidents and above

Total Group Volume

The total sales of a Leaders Total Group
