MORINGA SEED OIL

ASILI NATURAL OILS, RWANDA

Asili Natural Oils works with over 1,000 farmers across 6 eastern provinces in Rwanda, around 40% of whom are women. They strive to improve the lives of their farmers and to create a trusting, transparent relationship.

Beatha Batamuriza is a moringa farmer with four children. She’s also a supply chain agent working with Asili Natural Oils. Her role helps other moringa farmers in her community with planting and harvest support.

TUNGTEIYA WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION, GHANA

Our trade helps to provide financial independence to over 600 women across 11 villages. We pay a premium on top of a fair price to help invest in community projects. Today, over 49,000 people benefit from healthcare, sanitation and education projects.

Sikena Abubakari is a treasurer of the Association. She has been able to raise capital for her own start-up food vending business through her income.

It started as a side hustle so I could provide for Christmas back in 2017. I had less than £100 in the bank account and no way to pay for Christmas. After losing my son Ronnie and quitting work I had no way to make ends meet. My partner was working every hour possible to provide for the rent and bills and I had to find a way to generate an income. I started as a consultant in November 2017 and by Christmas I earnt £2000 and was able to pay for Christmas. My journey continued and although I did initially join to make money, this turned into so much more than the want for financial freedom.

Over the past 6 years I have met some incredible lifelong friends who have been through so much with me and pulled me out the other side of a dark place on several occasions. Fast forward 4 years into the business and my health deteriorated and I was no longer deemed fit to do anything other than work from home jobs. In the past 6 years I have built a multimillion pound business that also went global for 3 years as well and turned over a whopping 6+ million pound and generated my first 6 figure yearly income back in 2020. This takes hard work, sacrifice and commitment but time freedom and financial security is what you gain from direct sales when you put the effort in.

My why hasn’t changed that much since I joined. Originally it was to earn some extra cash and meet new people along the way, which is still absolutely the case. I work full time as well as running my The Body Shop At Home Business. At first, I was very sceptical of the opportunity and kept telling myself that it l wouldn’t work or that I wouldn’t have the time... I was totally wrong! This business fits around my work life and home life with ease as I can work my business both online and offline. The commission and bonuses have helped pay for car service and MOT, shopping, bills and savings for a holiday. Whilst working my business, I’ve found my confidence has grown immensely, I’ ve gained new friends for life, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone a lot more and I find I can talk to people easier and do more lives, so this is a MASSIVE deal for me!
