MILITARY PARTNER HIGHLIGHT
TEAM RUBICON Since 2010, Team Rubicon has made it their mission to help vulnerable communities impacted by disasters, powered by a 140,000+ veteran-led volunteer base with advanced medical, logistic and leadership skills from their years of military service. Severe weather events, catastrophic wildfires, devastating earthquakes and COVID-19 vaccine distribution are all ‘calls to action’ for Team Rubicon. For instance, when Hurricane Laura struck in the Fall of 2020 as a Category 4 hurricane with 150-mph winds, followed very shortly by Hurricane Sally, parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas were devastated. Though this area received little or no media attention, Team Rubicon stepped in to help lowincome communities. Leveraging the skills and experience of volunteers, Team Rubicon immediately worked to provide urgent response and swift recovery for the people in affected areas.
