We believe education is the door to opportunity. Two-thirds of jobs in Arizona will require post-secondary education and, as the world grows more complex, our economy will increasingly demand higher achievement in math and computer science. Yet, there are significant disparities in educational attainment among racial, ethnic and socio-economic lines.

Of the 1.1 million K-12 students in Arizona, a majority are nonwhite and more than half come from low-income households.

How do we accelerate achievement? We must think differently. Arizona State University has ranked #1 in Innovation in the U.S. for six consecutive years. We look to their creative minds to partner with communities to find solutions for Arizona’s K-12 students—solutions rooted in technological advancements that use large data sets, machine learning and artificially intelligent tutoring systems.

Most importantly, we know we can count on ASU to deploy these assets to areas of greatest need in our community so that kids in Title 1 Schools, tribal communities and rural areas can immerse themselves in complicated concepts, become proficient in algebra, excel in computer science and open their next door to opportunity in Arizona.
