Did you know that the term "company" was a neologism which sprang from two Latin words meaning, "with bread"?
Also, the word "sup" means to partake of an evening meal, typically with at least one other individual.
People who share much in common, typically dine together.
Ever heard the aphorism, "You are the company you keep?" More or less true right?
After-all, gastronomy is not all that is partaken of at a dining table...ideas, attitudes, moods, feelings, - and yes, even business and matrimonial proposals - all fall under the ambit of what is and/or can be shared over a meal.
Now ask thyself, "What am I imparting, and what is being imparted unto me, courtesy of the company I am keeping?"
Are the ideals, values, principles and attitudes being exchanged, valuable or valueless? Noble or ignoble? Just some food for thought (yes, pun intendedđŸ˜‰)
How then, may one level up in their life? Again, it all comes down to the gastronomy, baby.
You have got to keep company and dine with (both literally & figuratively) those going somewhere.
