Premier’s Forward It is with great delight that I welcome you to the 2024 ‘Together We Can...’ TasPride Festival.
I congratulate the TasPride Committee on delivering once more, a full program of events in Hobart and throughout the Island.
The Tasmanian Government’s vision is all LGBTIQA+ Tasmanians are visible, respected and have the rights, freedom and access to live equally and proudly in Tasmania.
I look forward to proudly walking alongside you all at the annual Parade.
It is events such as the TasPride Festival, which provide a platform for all individuals to come together to visibly demonstrate how diversity and inclusion forge a path towards a brighter future, that only makes us stronger as a State.

About TasPride We began back in the day when a small group of concerned people met in December 1992 in Hobart to discuss the possibility of establishing a Gay and Lesbian Community Centre, essentially to be a focus for support, resources and communication in the wider gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Things have moved on dramatically since then, and the group that was originally incorporated as The GLC Centre Inc changed its name and focus in 2009 to TasPride Inc.

Hobart Out Tennis Tournament 2024 Hobart Out Tennis Tournament is back in 2024 for its 8th edition! It will be a competitive yet social tournament for everyone (18+) at any skill level. We have singles, women singles, doubles and 45+ doubles competition events.

The Artosaurus Art Award Opening – 2024 Art prize and award recipients from TasPride’s Artfully Queer Exhibition 2023 are awarded an invitation by Artosaurus, to participate in a group exhibition at the Artosaurus Gallery and Studios in Moonah during the 2024 TasPride Festival. The Artosaurus Art Award exhibition runs from the 7th February 2024 until the 7th March 2024.

TasPride Parade and Party in the Park The TasPride parade and party in the park is the signature event of the TasPride Festival, and Together We Can, celebrate once more, in 2024. Gather your friends, family, colleagues and teammates; don your pride colours and costumes; prepare your banners; and get ready to party. Marshalling for the parade is from 12:00pm at the corner of Elizabeth and Patrick Streets, with the parade setting off at 1:00pm sharp. The parade will progress down Elizabeth Street along Liverpool Street onto Murray Street, finishing with the party in the park at Franklin Square in Macquarie Street. All you need to do to join us in the parade is register at taspride.com and follow the links.

Pride Fireworks Cruise on the Derwent TasPride takes over Peppermint Bay’s luxurious catamaran for one night only, casting off towards a glorious sunset and fireworks cruise.
