Community is at the heart of everything we do at TASIS England. We are a team – students, staff, faculty, and families from over 70 countries – all working in partnership to provide an exceptional learning environment for our students. Our multiple pathways ensure your child’s experience at TASIS England will be as unique as they are. Every student benefits from an individualized learning journey that caters to their abilities, goals, and interests.
Each student is supported individually as they engage in demanding courses to ensure they thrive as the owner of their tailor-made learning journey and flourish as learners.
We promote active learners. We want our students to be more inquisitive, to question and challenge rather than blindly accepting. Your child will learn to think independently, with a deep appreciation for creativity and original thought.
The Middle School curriculum has been thoughtfully developed to bridge Lower and Upper School. Students
build on the foundational skills and knowledge acquired in Lower School and develop the advanced techniques and skills needed to succeed in their later school career.
Our exceptional faculty are highly skilled educators selected from across the globe. Each faculty member is a subject specialist, renowned for academic excellence. They expertly tailor their approach to facilitate learning for each and every student, dedicated to their unique educational needs.
Grade 5
Students focus on specific developmental skills within the four core subjects of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and History and Geography. Additionally, students take the following specialized subjects: French and Spanish, Art, Music, Physical Education, Library Skills, and Innovation and Design.
Grade 6-8
Students study a variety of core and specialized subjects that gradually prepare them for the rigors of Upper School. Placement tests ensure the appropriate level of challenge in Foreign Languages and Math.
The five core subjects are Language Arts, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Mathematics, and Science. The specialized subjects are Art, Drama, Innovation and Design, Music, and Physical Education.
An eclectic, action-packed co-curricular program that bolsters connections, well-being, and an international worldview.
Participation, meaningful connections, and fun-filled exploration are the key themes of the TASIS England co-curricular program. There is something in the Middle School Sports and Activities program to engage every student, irrespective of age, ability, or experience. We’ve made sure to cater our collection of after-school clubs, athletic teams, and recreational sports to all tastes.
Students can choose new activities each trimester, embracing ample opportunities to explore their interests and discover new passions. Our extensive list of sports and outdoor activities ranges from basketball, lacrosse, and horse riding to chess, STEAM Club, and yoga.
Our diverse selection not only boosts confidence and physical and mental health, but also showcases talent, and enables students to connect with peers who share their interests.
Sports and activities
With the gradual introduction of inter-school competitions, students develop teamwork and an ethos of sportsmanship, extending learning beyond the classroom and preparing them for future challenges in sports and further afield.
Is your child a budding actor or a promising musician?
Students can immerse themselves in the exhilaration of the theater by participating as cast and crew in our magnificent school productions. There are many opportunities for students to engage with music, both formally and informally, from private instrumental and voice lessons to a range of small ensembles and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) performance exams.
Educational trips full of exploration and adventure
Throughout the year, students embark on enriching, curriculum-linked field trips that ignite their curiosity and equip them with first-hand world perspectives and vital life skills.
We also take advantage of Europe’s cultural treasures with unforgettable trips that promote intercultural learning and bring classroom learning to life.
We introduce our younger learners to educational travel with an exciting three-night trip in the Spring within the UK, leading to overnight and week-long overseas trips in mainland Europe.

n Every Middle School student benefits from having a dedicated faculty advisor to keep track of all progress while being available to listen, offer guidance, and advocate for students when needed.
n Tutorial sessions provide the perfect opportunity for students to connect with their advisors and subject teachers, seek extra help, discuss concerns, and receive individual support.
n Our dedicated Middle School Counselor collaborates with faculty, students, and parents to resolve any issues students are facing, ensuring that our students feel supported and cared for.
n The Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education (PSHEE) curriculum prioritizes the holistic development of our students. Throughout the year, advisory periods and Town Hall meetings spotlight the many issues that young people face. They equip students with the knowledge to tackle these difficulties head-on, so they feel emboldened to navigate their lives with confidence.
n Students belong to one of four Houses, which fosters community spirit and offers further opportunities for connection and engagement.

Our deep sense of community at TASIS England inspires Middle School students to seize the many service leadership opportunities available to them. They learn to look beyond themselves and “give back”, developing into well-rounded, compassionate individuals.
Whether serving as Language Ambassadors, Student Leadership Committee members or at one of our many school events, students cultivate excellent communication skills and a sense of belonging – all while contributing to the school community.
Our students go even further, broadening their horizons beyond the school gates to make a tangible difference in the wider community. Every school House has its chosen charity, allowing students to initiate and manage creative fundraising activities.
