With the right balance of challenge and support, all Upper School students receive a personalized course schedule based on their passions, skills, and goals for the future. Courses follow the American curriculum. The core subjects (English, history, mathematics, science, and foreign languages) are complemented by the arts, humanities, and physical education. In-depth honors courses are also available across a wide variety of subjects and build a solid academic base to prepare students for university. Students who meet the academic eligibility expectations can take Advanced Placement (AP) courses as early as Grade 9.
As they continue their four-year journey, Upper School students follow bespoke pathways within academic programs that are tailored to their strengths and interests, including the Honors program, AP program, and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma programme.
Both the AP and IB tracks prepare students for universities and colleges in the US, UK, and worldwide. Whichever path they choose, our students consistently achieve strong results in both examination tracks.

Participation is the key theme of our co-curricular program. We operate a “no drop” policy, a pledge that provides every student – regardless of experience or ability – with the opportunity to sign up for their chosen sport in the knowledge that they will be fully supported throughout their time in the program.. We want all students to feel the fantastic physical, mental, and social benefits our co-curricular activities deliver.
As with everything in the TASIS England experience, students personalize their cocurricular activities to craft their own unique pathways.
Sports and Activities
Whether participating in individual, recreational, or competitive team sports, the focus is on a fun, inclusive, and rewarding experience. Students boost their confidence and mental and physical health, showcase talents, and foster meaningful connections with peers.
From basketball, golf, and tennis to sign language, kickboxing, and chess, there is a sport or activity for everyone.
Students can sample new sports and activities each trimester, providing ample opportunity to discover that special something to ignite passion and allow them to shine.

The Arts
Our stunning state-of-the-art facilities provide inspirational spaces for self-expression and artistry. We encourage students to ignite their imaginations, explore their creativity, and showcase their talents in studio and visual arts, music, theater, and film.
Thanks to our proximity to London, one of the world’s most exhilarating creative hubs, regular visits to theaters, galleries, and museums galvanize students’ learning.
Student-led Clubs
Our many student-led clubs allow students to demonstrate their resourcefulness, creativity, and initiative while supporting causes or pursuing interests. All clubs provide leadership, teamwork, and personal growth opportunities. Interestbased clubs include Book Club, Math Competition, and Dungeons & Dragons, while service-based clubs include Allies for Animals, Peru Club, and Romanian Children’s Relief.

Travel is education through exploration – there is nothing like immersion in another culture to breathe life into learning. As students navigate realworld scenarios, they bolster their language skills, confidence, and independence while acquiring vital life skills.

Students’ heartfelt engagement in meaningful projects develops invaluable leadership skills. They become principled, compassionate, and open-minded individuals, ready to flourish as members of a global society.
The TASIS Leadership Academy (TLA) is a unique program that utilizes the Stanford Human-centered Design Process, a problem-solving approach that places the human experience at its core. Selected students in Grades 10 and 11 explore the fundamentals of leadership and apply their learning during an international trip that connects them with a local community. The TLA experience culminates with students presenting their year-long capstone project.
