WELCOME FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
DEAR TASIS DORADO COMMUNITY,
It was an extraordinary year, and we are delighted to share this annual update detailing the many highlights and remarkable achievements throughout 2024-2025. First, we are proud to be one of the Founding 50 schools worldwide to receive the Responsible Artificial Intelligence in Learning (RAIL) endorsement by the Middle States Association and to have received the Program of Distinction in Early Childhood Education and STEM Education. We are also thrilled to congratulate our recent graduates who will attend outstanding universities including Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, and Princeton among the various incredible college acceptances and schools where our recent graduates have chosen to attend. Your contributions have been part of these school-wide successes directly impacting the initiatives and efforts that enhance teaching and learning for all students PPK-12. We appreciate the many ways that you support our community and thank you for your engagement and trust.
A primary example of this includes your participation in Reaching for the Stars: The Campaign for STEAM Excellence, a transformative initiative that will shape the future of TASIS Dorado. This transformational campaign will allow us to add new spaces that will further inspire our students and faculty for years to come. Like the vision of our Founders who sought to create a vibrant and flourishing community, this campaign is about more than creating new buildings, it is a distinct opportunity to further shape and elevate the educational experiences of our students for many generations. TASIS Dorado will ensure our students have the tools, skills, and competencies to lead and succeed in a rapidly changing world in purposeful ways, expanding upon the vision of our Founders and equipped to shape academic and personal excellence.
We are excited about our continued partnership with families and community leaders to teach children within the values of respect, responsibility, honor, and service. Our interactions across campus are centered on our mission and values, and we appreciate that you have chosen TASIS Dorado for you and your family members with a shared commitment to the foundational and timeless core values of our School. Collaborating with parents and families is of utmost importance, and the regular communication and insights shared with one another is key to our ongoing partnership. I enjoyed talking with students and parents throughout the year and look forward to our continued conversations in the coming year.
It is a privilege to lead a PPK-12 School that focuses on academic and personal excellence and shaping innovative, selfless leaders. Given the tremendous care of our teachers, and their depth of experience and dedication to working with young people and families, I am confident that we are going to have another spectacular school year ahead. Thank you for entrusting your children to our care and for walking with us as we seek to provide the best experiences and environment to educate children who will be well equipped to navigate a dynamic and most interesting world! I am so pleased that you have chosen TASIS School in Dorado, Puerto Rico to help your children THRIVE and grateful for the many ways that you contribute to the success of our School

THE CAMPAIGN FOR STEAM EXCELLENCE
At TASIS Dorado, we believe that empowering students through STEAM education, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, is essential to shaping compassionate, innovative leaders who will thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Guided by our core values of courage, humility, integrity, community, and kindness, Reaching for the Stars: The Campaign for STEAM Excellence is a forward-thinking, $10 million initiative designed to transform the educational experience and inspire our students to think boldly, lead confidently, and dream without limits.
This visionary campaign is centered on three cornerstone projects:
• Center for STEM Excellence
• Music & Visual Arts Center (MAC)
• Revitalized STEAM Fab Lab for Elementary Students
Together, these initiatives will redefine what is possible in the classroom and beyond, providing TASIS Dorado students with the resources and inspiration to reach for the stars.
As of June 2025, we are proud to share that we have raised nearly $6.5 million toward our goal, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community.
Center for STEM Excellence will be a state-ofthe-art facility designed to ignite curiosity, spark innovation, and cultivate a lifelong passion for scientific discovery. More than just a physical space, it will serve as a foundation for the future, where the seeds of innovation, leadership, and interdisciplinary learning are planted and nurtured.
This visionary center will provide the environment and advanced technology needed to master STEM disciplines while fostering the critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration essential for success in a rapidly evolving world.
With an open-concept design and thematic floors dedicated to specific STEM fields, including the Fab Lab, Physics and Robotics Hub, and Life Sciences, the Center will offer specialized, immersive spaces that deepen learning, encourage inquiry, and promote meaningful collaboration across disciplines.
The Music & Visual Arts Center (MAC) will be a vibrant, purpose-built space where students can explore music, design, and the visual arts, cultivating creativity, collaboration, and self-expression as essential parts of a well-rounded education.
As a cornerstone of TASIS Dorado’s holistic campus development, the MAC will unify Elementary and Secondary Arts, within a centralized Harmony Hub, optimizing the learning environment and reinforcing the role of the arts in everyday student life.
This dynamic facility will include specialized classrooms, performance and rehearsal spaces, art studios, exhibition areas, and dedicated storage, creating a permanent, inspiring home for our award-winning music and visual arts programs.
EMPOWERING ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
ENHANCING CREATIVITY AND STEAM LEARNING THROUGH A REVITALIZED FAB LAB
The Impact of Your Support
Thanks to your partnership, our students are already making remarkable strides, and the best is yet to come. One shining example is our After School Program Bear Robotics Team, which recently earned an impressive second place at the Eureka Enrichment FIRST LEGO League Challenge Championship, held on our own campus this past March. Demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and determination, the team’s outstanding performance qualified them to represent Puerto Rico on the global stage at the First Annual Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) LEGO League Championship, held in Worcester, Massachusetts, in July 2025.
Your support strengthens our mission to provide a comprehensive educational experience rooted in interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and confidence. As we look ahead, we invite you to help shape the future of education at TASIS Dorado.
Together, we are building more than just new spaces. We are creating opportunities, unlocking potential, and leaving a lasting legacy of learning for generations to come.
An enhanced STEAM Fab Lab for Elementary Students will offer a dedicated space for a dynamic, hands-on learning environment that ignites curiosity and builds foundational skills in STEAM from an early age.
A Sky Full of Stars Celebrating Community and Campaign Momentum
On April 4, 2025, TASIS Dorado hosted the Reaching for the Stars Black Tie & Sneakers Gala and Auction, a dazzling evening of celebration, unity, and transformative impact. Nearly 500 members of the TASIS Dorado community, including parents, alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, and friends, gathered in formal attire and stylish sneakers to support The Campaign for STEAM Excellence.
The evening’s program featured powerful messages from Federico Stubbe, Jr., Dr. Sylvia Rodríguez Vargas, Betzy García, and Linda Vester Greenberg, spotlighting the campaign’s vision and momentum. Guests enjoyed an unforgettable night filled with gourmet cuisine by Chef Edgardo Noel, live music from A Son de Guerra and Cuenta Regresiva, and spirited bidding in both silent and live auctions. The elegant atmosphere, brought to life by Gisela Vázquez of Social Designs, reflected the creative energy and aspirational spirit behind the campaign.
A highlight of the evening was the premiere of Reaching for the Stars video, featuring TASIS Dorado students and faculty sharing their passions and dreams, and how new STEAM facilities will unlock life-changing opportunities.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, the Gala raised over $1.2 million in sponsorships, donations, and pledges. More than just a fundraising milestone, the event served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose, to transform education and inspire generations to come.

DESERVING PRIORITIES
TASIS DORADO FUND
Contributions to the TASIS Dorado Fund, our school’s annual fund, serve as unrestricted gifts critical to our program’s success and pave the way to meet institutional demands throughout the year. The fund received $81,610, which supports pressing needs beyond planned operations, making way for new opportunities, program expansion, and unexpected challenges.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Each year, TASIS Dorado receives support for various needs, including the school’s Athletics Department, Bee Project, Disaster Relief Fund, Performing Arts, and other future initiatives. This year, these areas received $45,900, which helped support growth and improvement across these deserving needs.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
December 3 marked GivingTuesday, a global celebration of generosity where individuals unite to support causes close to their hearts, unleashing the transformative power of radical kindness. This past December was dedicated to empowering our exceptional teachers who serve as architects of knowledge, instilling confidence, inspiring growth, and preparing our students for the challenges of tomorrow.
Contributions directly fueled teacher professional development initiatives, enabling our educators to refine their expertise, hone their skills, and exemplify a commitment to lifelong learning, all of which enrich the educational experience for TASIS Dorado students.
Generosity serves as a unifying force, fostering connections and enabling us to effect positive change in the lives of others. TASIS Dorado stands as a beacon of opportunity, nurturing young minds and talents and instilling in them the drive to make a meaningful impact on the world, a mission made possible through the dedication of our dynamic teaching staff.
Our community raised a total of $104,930 throughout the year to support our extraordinary teachers’ professional development. A commitment to investing in our educators’ growth and enrichment underscores our deep appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the TASIS Dorado experience.
INVESTING IN OUR TEACHERS
IRONBEAR TURNS 5
SCHOLARSHIP & FINANCIAL AID
Each year, TASIS Dorado awards full-tuition scholarships for our secondary program through the Maritere Matosantos Scholarship Fund, creating opportunities for deserving students of all socioeconomic situations. Additionally, our Financial Aid Fund directly impacts our efforts to support current TASIS Dorado students experiencing financial hardship. This year’s IRONBEAR supported both of these funds.
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the TASIS Dorado community came together for the fifth annual IRONBEAR, a truly unforgettable day of school spirit and purpose. Nearly 800 participants, including 622 IRONBEARS, students, faculty, staff, volunteers, and family pets, joined the IRONBEAR and TPA Family Day. The afternoon was filled with energy and joy, races, music, inflatables, games, delicious food, and the shared community pride.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, the IRONBEAR event alone raised an outstanding $201,530 in support of Scholarship & Financial Aid, surpassing our goals in both participation and fundraising. This record-breaking achievement is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we unite around a shared mission.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to all IRONBEARS, especially the dedicated efforts of Bear Nation; our partners, the TASIS Dorado Parent Association (TPA), Sabanera Dorado, and Dorado Beach Resort; and the many sponsors whose generosity made this year’s event an extraordinary success.
Total contributions for the year, including support from IRONBEAR and additional donations, reached $292,338, all in support of our students’ educational journey.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
FUTURE LEADERS & FOREVER LEARNERS
The TASIS Dorado Leadership Academy, a Stubbe Family Legacy Program, continues to inspire and empower students across all divisions, cultivating essential leadership and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, personal growth, and community impact.
In the Elementary School, the program reaches Grades 3, 4, and 5, impacting 180 students this year. Each grade participated in hands-on projects introducing leadership concepts through real-world connections.
Grade 3: Students studied bees to learn about leadership in nature and created a social entrepreneurship campaign to promote bee conservation.
Grade 4: Students brought their summer reading to life by developing and running their own Lemonade Stand on campus, gaining firsthand experience in planning, budgeting, and marketing.
Grade 5: Students learn leadership skills to use in their TAP5 theater production.
In the Upper School, the Leadership Academy is a prestigious, two-year, selective program open to motivated students in Grades 10 to 12. In 20242025, 106 students participated in weekly seminars that included public speaking, team-building, interest exploration, and training in the Design Thinking process. Students also engaged with motivational speakers and visiting professionals, including Dr. Robert Bies of Georgetown University, leadership speaker Bradley James Davies, and local community leaders who offered career insights and real-world perspectives.
Congratulations to
the Leadership Academy Class of 2025, future leaders and forever learners committed to making a meaningful difference in the world.
The program follows a three-phase model:
Phase I focuses on developing individual leadership strengths and foundational skills.
Phase II offers a global leadership experience during the summer after Grade 10, including travel abroad, sustainability studies, and a youth conference with Harvard students. This summer’s experience took class of 2025 students to Italy, with a special exchange day at TASIS Switzerland
Phase III culminates in a student-designed social impact or entrepreneurial capstone project, built around an identified need in the community.
Capstone projects from the Class of 2026 were diverse and deeply meaningful. Highlights include:
Donating laptops to an elementary school and a home for high school girls. Supporting academic reinforcement at a public school and developing study skills workshops for children in Vega Baja’s Los Naranjos community. Launching recycling initiatives, repainting a community basketball court, and leading sports clinics for local students.
Creating social entrepreneurship campaigns to promote bee conservation and ocean protection.
Graduates of the program receive special recognition at graduation for their contributions and growth as leaders. This year, we proudly celebrated 33 graduates from the second Leadership Academy cohort.
