6 PRINCIPLES IN ACTION: CUSTOMER FOCUS You Are What You Do | Walk the Walk We received the following positive feedback from a resident relative to the conduct of Ethan Klopf and Zach Golimbieksi. Way to embody what Doin’ it CUSTOMER FOCUS is all about! When someone walks away from an right encounter with any Taplin employee, we want this to be the lasting impression we give them of our company and the kind of people who work here. While working in Livonia on the crossbore team, Ethan and Zach made a very positive impression on a citizen. Excellent customer service delivered. Customer said our crew did an exceptional job. Both of the gentleman answered all of her questions and were very professional. Especially Zach, whom she felt went above and beyond to keep her informed of what was going on. He moved her things out of the way and moved them back and made sure everything was cleaned up exceptionally well so she wanted to call and let someone know they did a great job. Said she normally doesn’t make phone calls like that but this deserved it, especially because she’s recovering from surgery and our crew made the process stress free for her.

Please tell them how much we appreciate it!” - Tenant at 5787 Stadium Dr. property.

CONSISTENCY: Consistency is carrying out something the same way, or something staying the same so the outcome is known and predictable. Consistency ties directly into building habits that create positive change. When you're consistent, you build momentum and make progress towards goals.

Share an example (HERE) of consistency at Taplin and how we can be more consistent.

“The first thing that came to mind was paperwork and data sharing. For UI Mainline, the tracking sheet we use stays pretty consistent from project to project (thanks to Todd!!). One area we need to work on is our LEM structure, though - we've been working on updating it but it hasn't stretched across all the projects yet. After working in the field all day, the more streamlined and efficient we can make the paperwork process, the better. If the guys keep running across different formats, we're only making their job more difficult.”
