Dear Fellow Members, I am pleased to report that we have over 20 new members at the club.

Please join me in welcoming those new members and please reach out to them and introduce yourself. We are and always will be “The Club of Good Fellowship”.

Summer is here and our club will be bustling with activities. June is our busiest month of the year and with that will come days when the parking lots are full, the tee-sheet is booked, tennis courts are full and tables and lounge chairs at the pool and patio will be in high demand. We bring on over 95 seasonal employees over the summer months to accommodate us.

Our management team is dedicated to making your member experience exceptional. Plan ahead, be patient, enjoy the summer and do make reservations in advance.

Starting June 6th, we will begin a new Saturday tee-time policy. We will be starting off of #1 and #10 to accommodate all of the early morning golf

Roles of the Marshall When play is not on the hole, Marshals will protect the hole by ensuring spectators only use designated crosswalks and enforce the grandstand seating policy. When play is on the hole, Marshals will manage gallery noise and control the crowd, reminding spectators to stand still and be quiet during player’s shots.

Guest Policy at the Pool Guests of members and adult children of members must be accompanied by the member to utilize the pool and tennis complex. Please review the Pool & Tennis Best Practices brochure that was emailed to you from the Pool Committee. You may also pick up a hard copy at the Front Desk and the Pool Check-In Desk Pool Closing Time Our Conditional Use Permit or CUP requires that we close the pool and tennis complex at sunset each night.

Sunset times will be posted in the check-in desk window each day. Your staff will be giving you a 45 minute last call for food and a 30 minute last call for beverages each evening.

Please be understanding when your wait staff asks you for your last order of the evening.

Summer Parking and Car Safety It is a well-known fact the most fami-

lies have two cars and probably more if their teens are driving. At any one time, a single family can have two or more cars in the Club’s lot, which if you multiply that by the number of families we have, fills the lot up in no time. Usually the rear lot is jammed packed while the front lot sits empty.

So this summer, when you pull into the rear lot and can’t find a space, please pull around front. The front pool gate will be open for quick access to the pool and it is a short walk to the Pro Shop. Please also remember never to leave valuables in your car. Lock all valuables in the trunk of your car.

Now that the long spring has given way to summer, we are in gear for an exciting season. Match play events are beginning, Men’s League is underway, Ladies & Couples Guest Days are scheduled, and we are busy planning for Junior Golf. For our new members, WELCOME! This month’s newsletter brings you details about our upcoming June golf events at T&C and results from our most recent tournaments.

June marks the beginning of our match play events at T&C. The Men’s Club Championship, Sr. Club Championship and President’s Cup are all underway. Brackets are posted and periodic emails will be going out to keep everyone informed of their results, upcoming matches and deadlines. Brackets are posted in the locker room hallway. Please check them often and contact your match play opponents at your earliest convenience to schedule. Good luck!

Adult/Child Tennis Tournament Saturday, June 20 at 9:00am This event is for all kids 10 years of age and above. Kids must be able to keep score and have the ability to hit from behind the baseline. Adults will play with their children and round robin tournaments will be played.

An adult may only play with one child so bring friends or neighbors if needed. Trophies will be awarded.

Carnival Date: Monday, June 29 Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm Fun event for children in Mighty Mights, Tiny Tots, Young Hitters, Advanced Young Hitters and Intermediates. Play games and win FUN prizes. A delicious lunch and awards will follow. The cost is $8.00 plus lunch per child. The sign-up deadline is Friday, June 26.

Junior Skills Competition Date: Monday, June 29 Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm Advanced Elites and Tournament Team may participate. Junior Elites, Traveling Team, and Junior Hitters may also participate. You will be placed in groups by ability level.

Come and see how accurate you are at shot placement with your ground strokes, volleys, serve and more.

There will be prizes for category winners. The cost is $8.00 per child. The sign-up deadline is Friday, June 26.

Meet the Pool Managers!

Chelsea Hay Chelsea is returning to Town and Country Club after a year of adventure in Southeast Asia. She taught two semesters of English to high school students in Thailand and followed her wanderlust by traveling neighboring countries. In her free time she enjoys doing yoga, going to the family cabin and hanging out with friends. She is an alumna of the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in Communication. This is Chelsea’s fifth summer working at the pool and is committed to making it the best one yet!

Alex Crooker Alex has been an employee of T&C for 3 years. He has worked various positions at the Club, including being a Pool Deck Server, Banquet Server & Member Dining Server. He is excited to now take on another new role. In his spare time, Alex likes to go to concerts at First Ave or Seventh Street Entry. He looks forwards to meeting new members and giving them the best service possible!
