The addition of the spectacular 19th “Gambler’s Hole” has been well received, and we’re pleased to see strong daily play and positive feedback from members and guests alike. Lake Cascade Programming
From calm morning paddles to action-packed afternoons on the lake, the Tamarack Marina is your destination for recreation, relaxation, and adventure all summer long. With an expanded rental fleet that includes e-foils, jet skis, pontoon boats, wake boats, and surf boats, guests have access to both motorized and non-motorized options for every type of lake day.
In addition to rentals, Summer Sports School is now in session—providing private and group lessons in wake surfing, water skiing, and more. Whether you’re trying a new activity or looking to advance your skills, our on-the-water instruction is designed for all levels and ages.

Express & Mid-Mountain Lodge
In just a few short days, the Tamarack Express will begin running for summer operations (June 14), providing liftserved access to our network of hiking and biking trails. New this season, the Mid-Mountain Lodge will serve as a central gathering point, offering scenic views, alpine-inspired fare, and a curated beverage menu. We’ve also introduced weekly activations designed to elevate the mid-mountain experience.

Q&A: WITH CHRIS PETERSON, TAMARACK’S NEW GOLF DIRECTOR
After a lengthy search—and with the help of ExecuSearch, powered by PGA of America—Tamarack is pleased to introduce Chris Peterson as our new Director of Golf. Chris has been around golf his whole life. He’s also been around skiing. Chris actually was on the Ski Racing Team at Utah State. Having grown up in the area, he was well-acquainted with McCall and the skiing at Tamarack, as well, other places in the region. “Tamarack is perfect for me,” says Chris, “You have this great Osprey Meadows golf course, with an ever-growing golf program, within a stunning mountain resort that also offers some the best skiing in the country during the golf off-season. So, it’s a dream. I am so excited about the opportunity to take the Tamarack Golf Course and Program to the next level. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Q: SO, WHICH DO YOU LIKE BETTER? SKIING OR GOLF
CHRIS: That’s like picking kids, you can’t do that. I will say that skiing was my first love and that golf is my love today. You know, it’s my life and career now, and I couldn’t be more passionate about that.
Q: THAT A GREAT ANSWER….
CHRIS: But, let me add…I am certainly thrilled to be at a world-class ski resort like Tamarack. Combined with the golf, it’s the best of both worlds for me. Oh, and let’s not forget the other big attraction, Lake Cascade. It’s pretty cool to tell people I work at America’s only ski, golf, and lake resort.
Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE COURSE, OSPREY MEADOWS?
CHRIS: I love it. It’s beautiful, just a stunning mountain golf course. RTJ II and Butch and their team did a great job. I have been spending a lot of time out on the course with Sean Parsons, and he and his crew did a phenomenal job nurturing the course through winter and getting it ready for the season. It’s playing great and we’re finally really able to see what this new course can do, if you will. Keeps getting better every day.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES AS GOLF DIRECTOR AT TAMARACK?
CHRIS: Growing the golf course and elevating the entire golf experience for owners, members, and guests. That’s my focus each and every day. I have a good deal of Club Experience in my PGA career—including 22 years at Meadow Springs Country Club in Washington. We are considering all of the factors and components that go into making a great Golf Program, as well as a great Membership Program, and then applying those practices to the overall Tamarack Club experience. This is really a fun, dynamic time to be at Tamarack.
Q: THE LEVEL OF EXCITEMENT AROUND HERE ABOUT GOLF HAS NEVER BEEN HIGHER. AND OF COURSE, THE FULL COURSE BEING OPEN FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON IS THE MAJOR REASON WHY.
CHRIS: Oh yes, the course is the hero, especially this course. Wow! What a beauty! We, all of us here at Tamarack, want to keep Osprey Meadows in perfect condition for the season. That’s priority #1. Sean and his crew are paying a lot of attention to the greens, to keep them firm. We are beefing up some bunkers, with more sand and better edging. We are grooming the fairways and out-of-bound areas, basically trying to keep things in optimal shape now and throughout the summer. It’s a big lift, but we have the people and resources at Tamarack to make it possible. So for our end-users— whether they be owners, members, or guests—we want the golf experience a Tamarack to always meet or exceed expectations.
Q: YOU MENTIONED YOUR CLUB BACKGROUND, THAT’S AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… OR TO THE COURSE, AS IT WERE.
CHRIS: Absolutely. Yes, I have worked with, or been a part of, Memberships and Clubs ever since my Ski Club days growing up. Then later in college. And later still, through the PGA and my career in resorts and country clubs. For the past couple of decades, I have been hyper-focused on the things that elevate the club experience for golfers and nongolfers alike. At Tamarack, so many good things are happening. The expansion. The new amenities and offerings that are ever-arising. The commitment to the golf program and the skiing and the lake all at once, it’s inspiring to see, and watch it materialize. My focus is to build on that momentum and build this Golf and Membership Program, including our developmental Junior Golf Program. It’s a lot of work but this is the fun part. I love all this. Tamarack has everything you need to be one of the best resort golf experiences in the country.

HOMEOWNER PROFILE GREG WILLIS
He may be a Fort Lauderdale beach guy, but he is also an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast. Greg Willis has spent much of his life skiing out west, experiencing some of the finest ski resorts in the country. But it wasn’t until he arrived in Tamarack this past winter that he realized, almost immediately: “Tamarack is where I want to be.” He spent a festive weekend up on the slopes with his two daughters and when it was over—he decided to buy a place for his family. “We had a blast, we all loved it—I knew this is the community I’d been waiting for all along. The timing and everything was right.”
Q: GREG IT SOUNDS LIKE TAMARACK WAS LOVE AT FIRST SITE, AS THEY SAY.
GREG: Yep (laughs), pretty much. I had heard good things about Tamarack—particularly the skiing—so we came and checked it out this past season. Had a blast, my daughters and me—my two sons couldn’t make it. It was everything I’d heard and more. Great skiing and lots of variety. Some really fun runs, and it’s not overcrowded like so many other ski resorts. Tamarack is the real deal. At the end of the trip, I put an offer on a home at Ponderosa Ridge, and we closed this spring.
Q: WOW, YOU JUST KNEW RIGHT AWAY, HUH?
GREG: I did. Tamarack has made big strides the past couple of years: they’ve added more runs and activities for skiers and snowboarders; they launched the new Osprey Meadows Golf Course, which is gorgeous—I gotta work on my game now. And they’ve got the lakefront with all the boating and fishing. They’re known as America’s only ski, golf, and lake resort, and when you add it all up—the year-round amenities, the quality homes, the Membership—it’s an unbelievable value.
Q: TELL US WHAT ATTRACTED TO PONDEROSA RIDGE
GREG: It just felt right. It’s a great location—wooded and private, yet close to everything. The homes are really well done by Alturas Homes. I really like their craftsmanship and attention to detail, and the fact that there are so many windows and sightlines that draw the outside in. And it’s the perfect size—three bedrooms, with a free-flowing design and a great back porch. My kids have made friends here, so that’s been huge. We love how family-oriented Tamarack is.
Q: HOW ABOUT THE KIDS? THEY ARE ALL ON BOARD I IMAGINE
GREG: Yes, I have four kids, ages 19 to 30—two daughters and two sons. The girls, of course, came with me and they’re big skiers. The boys couldn’t make it, but they’re snowboarders and are really looking forward to coming up. Not just for the skiing either—we love that it’s a true all-season resort. There’s always something fun going on, always something happening.
Q: ASIDE FROM THE SKIING, WHAT IMPRESSES YOU MOST ABOUT

GREG: So many things. The friendliness of everyone. The Tamarack team has been great throughout the buying process—very helpful and responsive. I also love the natural beauty and the mountain setting. The location is ideal, and the elevation is perfect for year-round recreation. I really like the direction Tamarack is heading—with the talk of expansion and the continued addition of great amenities and a variety of quality homesites and residences. Lots of good things are happening here. It’s just a great value and a perfect fit for my family.
