ention of foodbanks and the services they provide in the last edition of TakeOne prompted a lot of interest. So much so that I went along to see what is going on at the Stowmarket Foodbank. I came away incredulous at the work they do and how great the demand is, not only now but, potentially, for each and everyone of us in the near future. The biggest supporters of foodbanks are often those people who have needed the services themselves and you will be surprised at how big a section of the community that includes. Read all about it on pages 6 and 7. Elsewhere in this edition, we take a look at self-publishing. It is said that ‘everyone has a book in them’ and we interview two authors who have proved that adage. A chance encounter in a Diss cafe sparked a trip along memory lane for one customer. Find out more about her evacuee years on page 12. We also enjoyed a trip to see a West End show and a bowls masterclass ahead of the World Bowls Championships at Potters. All that and all your usual favourites, as well as the chance to win theatre tickets, books, pet food and afternoon tea. Read on…
