Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph Ceramic

Les trois compteurs égrenant les secondes, les minutes et les heures ont disparu. La lecture, très intuitive, se fait au travers de trois aiguilles centrales qui mesurent les temps chronométrés sur 3 disques concentriques. La grande aiguille pour les secondes, la moyenne pour les minutes, la troisième pour les heures. Un ballet se met en place à mesure que le temps passe, les aiguilles s’entraînant les unes après les autres à chaque révolution. Et l’heure dans tout ça, me direz-vous?

Elle se lit aisément sur les disques extérieurs par deux marqueurs externes aux cercles concentriques dédiés uniquement au chronographe. La première, trapue, coure le long des index des heures qui entourent la complication centrale. Sa sœur, plus grande et plus fine, parcourt avec élégance cette ‘piste’ ménagée entre le rond-point au centre et l’échelle des minutes qui finit d’encercler l’ensemble. Elles sont toutes deux recouvertes de TCI Luminescent pour une lisibilité accrue. La simplicité d’utilisation est remarquable avec le poussoir unique de départ et d’arrêt à 2h, avec aussi la remise à zéro à 10h. Pour parfaire l’équilibre, la couronne de remontage a été décalée à 4h. Simple, e!icace, innovant. L’horlogerie comme on aime.

Le garde-temps o!re un parfait équilibre tout en rondeurs mais a!irme sa sportivité par son matériau, de l’or rose et du titane, par les di!érents volumes de son cadran, par le contraste des gris clairs et foncés, par les angles marqués des cornes ainsi que par des boutons poussoir rectangulaires. Une version boîte céramique noire et titane gris foncé traité DLC, disposant d’un cadran noir, propose une alternative encore plus musclée. Les brevets sont en cours d’enregistrement. A coup sûr, ce chronographe totalement nouveau devrait intéresser, mais pas seulement, nombre d’aficionados de cette complication si prisée.

Les trois aiguilles fines d’inspiration Breguet, arborent chacune une ouverture, non pas ronde, mais en forme d’œuf allongé, clin d’œil taquin à typiquement Fabergé, à son identité. Tout est dans la simplicité et le détail, comme le prouve la couronne avec son arceau pivotant qui la protège, puis se soulève pour e!ectuer le remontage comme avec une clé d’horloge d’antan. Une touche de tradition et d’humour de plus dans la collection Fabergé. Le calibre automatique Vaucher 3000 fait battre le cœur de ce garde-temps masculin tout en finesse. Ses décorations, rappelant les dessins du fondateur Peter Carl Fabergé, sont mises en valeur par la masse oscillante en or massif 22 carats et ses volutes maisons.

The three second, minute and hour counters have been removed. Information can intuitively be read with the help of three central hands that measure short times on three concentric disks. The large hand indicates the seconds, the medium one the minutes, and the third one the hours. As time ticks by, the hands follow one another a!er each revolution as if in a ballet performance.

‘What about time then?’ I hear you say. Well, it is easily read on the exterior disks thanks to the two external markers with concentric circles that are dedicated to the chronograph. The thick one runs along the hour indexes that surround the central complication, and the second, longer and thinner disk travels elegantly across the 'track' made between the circle at the center and the minute scale that surrounds the whole. Both are coated with TCI Luminescent for better readability. It is amazingly user-friendly since it features only one pusher for starting and stopping the chronograph at 2 o'clock plus the resetting button at 10 o'clock. The winding crown has been o"-centered to 4 o'clock to improve the watch's balance. Simple, e"ective and innovating – watchmaking as we like it.

All three thin hands, inspired by Breguet, sport an opening in the shape of an elongated egg (rather than a circle), which is a playful allusion to Fabergé's identity. It's all about simplicity and details. For example, the crown has a protecting rotating bow, which is li!ed to wind the watch like old clock keys – yet another touch of tradition and humor in the Fabergé collection.
